You remember my dear friend Sharon... the one with all the amazing stamping ideas.. well, check this out... this was one of her Convention Swaps.... IS THIS NOT THE CUTEST CARD YOU'VE EVER SEEN IN YOUR LIFE?????????
This sweet little sheep was made using all Stampin' Up! punches!! How clever and how TOTALLY cute!! Thanks Sharon! :)
I am getting SOOOOO excited about going to Convention!! Friends, Stamping, Ideas, Swaps, Food, Fun... whohooo! This will be my 12th Convention - can you believe I have to leave on my hubby's 50th birthday? YIKES! We had a big 49er party last year (HERE), so he said it was ok to go to convention and not do a big thing for his 50th this year.
Anyway... here are the 3 swap cards I'm taking with me to Convention next week.. they all use Bella Rose Designer Paper and new colors: Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Riding Hood Red, and of course good old Chocolate Chip!
For more info on the card above, click HERE.
Above: this card uses the Fresh Cut Notecard turned into a "pocket" - open at the top. That is one of the new Riding Hood Red buttons in the center of the big flower... it has a funny glare on it from the flash.. sorry!
Enjoy your weekend!
CONVENTION is coming... time for more Convention swaps!!!! I was totally inspired by Jill's adorable card HERE, and decided I needed to make a swap card using her super cute flower idea! WAY too cute, Jill!!!
So I made a pile of flowers... a "paper flower garden"...
(I actually ended up making 2x this many!!) :)
Then I made it into this card with Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss and Apricot Appeal cardstock:
I used the "Punches Plus" brass template and the paper piercer to add an oval of holes around the punched out greeting.
The flowers are super easy to make.. punch out Apricot cardstock with the Scallop Circle punch and then snip between each petal with Stampin' Up! Paper Snips!
(thanks to my son for the fabulous photo!)
The flower centers are punched with the 1" circle punch out of the Bella Rose paper, and the Kiwi Kiss polka dot paper is also from the Bella Rose Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper pack!
If you'd like to know how to make the fun corrugated leaves, check my previous blog post HERE.
Have a FABULOUS day!
Over the weekend we celebrated one of my downline's birthdays... Karen had requested "no gifts"... but I asked the gals to each bring her 10 swap cards that she could take to convention and swap... it was SO fun to do this for her, and she was very appreciative of the time it will save her this week. Here are the cards we gave her:

and Sharon made a great swap box to put them all in:
Have a great day!

What a fun card for any occasion this summer!! I got this idea from my upline, Sandy Hancock.
You could make this in any fun, summery color.. how about a lime popsicle? Or a chocolate fudge bar!? :) yum!
Only Orange cardstock: cut to 4"x5" and score in 1/2. Use the corner rounder on 3 corners and the Scallop punch on the upper right corner.
Whisper White cardstock: cut to 2-1/4" x 3-3/4". Use same corner rounding/punching as above.
To insert the popsicle stick, punch 2 holes with the Horizontal Slot punch:
Stamp the white piece first, then put Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the white piece and put it over the stick:
Fun option for the Pumpkin Pie striped ribbon.. run your YoYo Yellow marker along 1/2 of it to customize the colors:
I previously posted the swap cards voted as the top 3 in our meeting card swap last Saturday (see HERE), but also wanted to share a few more with you. There was virtually a 7-way tie for 4th place!! Here are those 7 wonderful cards! Great job ladies!

I send the Card Contest Board cards to Stampin' Up! for the Wow Art File Contest.. many of them show up on Stampers Showcase, too! yahoo ladies.. way to go!
I did not go with the glitter card for my meeting swap (Luv 2 Stamp Group downline meeting today).. but never fear.. my cards still have some BLING...
I put a "Fire Rhinestone Brad" in the center of the little flowers punched with the Boho Blossoms punch. That's enough "bling" for me! :)
My 44 cards are ready to go.....
Here is a close up for you - it's a 4x4 card:
RECIPE:
Set: All Holidays
Cardstock & Ribbon: Purely Pomegranate
Paper: Bali Breeze DSP
Rub-ons: A Perfect Day
Misc: 5-Petal and Boho Blossom punch, Fire Circle rhinestone brads, Stampin' Dimensional
Leah mailed her cards to me from AZ so I could swap them for her today.. the long distance gals do that... Aren't her cards CUTE!!?
It's the same "pocket fold" that my husband did for his "Husband Card Swap" for the Stampin' UP! cruise, but she did a 3x3 card.. too cute!
I'm off to my meeting... I'm looking forward to sharing the day with my gals.. and will share projects and swaps with you starting tomorrow... stay tuned!
OK.. I THOUGHT I could do it... I've been getting up the "courage" to work with the Sticky Letters and Glitter ever since SHANNON gave me grief at the Oakland Regional for not using them in my stamping life (I am so NOT a Glitter Queen) ... last night I thought my friend Sharon had talked me into using the sticky letters and glitter for my meeting swap cards this Saturday... I sat down with GOOD INTENTIONS to make swaps using glitter... here is what I came up with:
While I love the card, I'm also SUCH A WHIMP when it comes to GLITTER.. I just cannot deal with it.. and I will be on the floor under my stamp desk in a curled up ball if I have to make 40+ cards with glitter... so... unless someone wants to come over and MAKE these FOR ME today, I'm coming up with a different design for my swaps WITHOUT glitter!! LOL
I know, I know.. what a whimp.. oh well!
SUPPLIES: Colors: Eggplant Envy and Always Artichoke. Gitter and sticky letters from pg 186 of the catalog. White rub-ons from the Occasions mini. Stamps from Boho Backgrounds, pg 109. Punches: Scallop circle and Boho Blossoms punch. All supplies Stampin' Up!
OK... so I've been swamped getting ready for our Luv 2 Stamp Group (downline) meeting this coming Saturday... but also heavy on my mind was getting my 1,400 digital photos (Bermuda and NYC) uploaded and printed so I could get going on our Bermuda Cruise scrapbook... so........ yesterday I uploaded about 1,000 of my photos to walmart.com and then placed an order (to be picked up in an hour) for about 700 photos... then came home and put about 150 or so of the photos on my 6x6 pages that I got in the 6x6 swap on the cruise!! yahoo!!!!!!!!!!! Now I need to make a ton more pages to scrap photos of the caves, the dockyard, the commissioners house, misc. stuff on the ship, plus our time in NYC before the cruise.. but at least this is a start and I have a scrapbook and a half to take to my DL meeting on Saturday!
amazing what one can do in less than 24 hours when you put your mind to it ... :)
Here are just a few of my favorite swaps samples from the Stampin' Up! Bermuda Cruise... I've still got sooooooo many photos to share with you... it is going to take me weeks! :)
If you see your card here, drop me a comment.. I'd love to give you credit!
