Stampin' Up! Big Shot Projects
August 08, 2008
Wow.. I had soooooo much fun playing with my new Stampin' Up! BIG SHOT die cutting machine last night!! It is awesome!! I cut a whole stack of pieces and then just started to play with them.. I pulled out Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Bashful Blue cardstock and some printed paper from the Summer Picnic Designer Paper pack, and just started cutting!!
Here is what I came up with:
Here are some close ups for you..
Below: small envelope is a Stampin' UP! Exclusive die (Scallop Envelope Bigz die) and the flowers are die cuts too - from the "Birds & Blooms" die set, and the "Flowers" die. I scalloped the edge of the blue card to match the scalloped edge of the envelope die.
Below: the large orange flowers and small red flowers are from the exclusive Stampin' Up! die package called "Birds & Blooms Sizzlits" - 4 pack AND, the small orange flowers are from the die called "Flowers" (it's a 12" border piece, I cut it to 5-1/2").
Below: the folded cello "topper" is a Stampin' Up! Exclusive Die (Top Note Bigz die) folded in 1/2. The flower and leaves are from the "Birds & Blooms Sizzlets" die pack. (4x6 cello bag)
Below: The folded polka-dotted piece on the left is the Stampin' Up! Exclusive die: "Top Notes Bigz die" again (same as the blue "topper"), and the scallop flowers are from the "Scallop Circle #2" die and the "Birds and Blooms Sizzlets" die.
Now.. what have YOU been making with your Big Shot? Leave me a comment and a link to your projects! :)

Great projects! I have a stupid question...can you use other brands of dies in this machine (cuttle bug, nestibilities, etc.)?

Thanks so much for sharing your terrific Big Shot projects, Patty. I've started my order for Monday (want to earn new hostess benefits) and the BShot on there. You are close to convincing me to order the Top Note die - already have the Birds & Blooms on the list.

I've only made one thing so far with my Big Shot and that was a bunch of fast, easy, magnetic bookmarks to stick in with new catalogs that my customers have been picking up. http://stampersim.blogspot.com/2008/08/fast-bookmark.html
I can't wait to order more dies.

Hi Patty, I just love your blog and check it often. Congratulations on making Advisory Board!
I was not at convention so didn't get the discount, but that didn't stop me from ordering it. I've always wanted one. I finally got a chance to play with it and here is my first card:
