Getting Ready for Convention - and a look back!!

I"m so excited.. I'll be attending our annual Stampin' Up! Convention next week in Salt Lake City!!! I've only missed one Convention since 1995 when I signed up, so this is definitely a tradition for me!!
I've been making some tags for my gals attending convention so they can easily spot their bag amongst the thousands of bags:
I made these with our new"Two Tags" Big Shot die (item 115954, pg 198) and put the Olive Green pattern from the Merry Moments DSP on the back. I also added some of the wonderful new wide Olive striped ribbon to them. That ribbon is luscious... it ties sooooooo nice and is sooooo soft!! :)
When I did my on line check in today for Convention, I got this message:
Love it... 'CONGRATULATIONS YOU HAVE WON AN AWARD!" :) Yippee!!

Being named to the Advisory Board on Awards Night at Convention 2008 was truly the highlight of my SU! career!
I hope to see you at Convention THIS YEAR... if you are not planning to attend, I hope you will make it a goal for next year!!

Congratulations on the upcoming award Patty! Wish I was going but it is not in the cards. My last convention was the one in Orlando - Awesome for sure. Have a wonderful time, I know you will.

How fun to see the pics with that walk down Memory Lane! My first convention was 2002 and I do remember "Stampie" the walking wood block stamp! lol! I am so lucky to be able to say that I haven't missed one yet...hoping that it stays that way and I am also starting to scurry around getting ready for convention! Can't believe I am on the computer...I need to be finishing swaps!!! Jan

Fond memories for sure. My first convention was in SLC (1999 or 2000??) when they had the giant SU! wheel, stamps and pads on the stage.....only missed Orlando yr. after that for my daughter's wedding....and THIS year...because of school opening. I'm so sad. Congratulations on your award/s....you're a star in many demos' eyes for sure.

Congrats Patty, all your efforts surely paid off. Well deserved. I won't be going this year, just not up to it. My daughter Sue Berreth will be going, I know I'll be sad not being with everyone on my 15th year with Stampin' Up! Can't leave my husband at this time, some health issues.

I had a question please....Did you use a heavy cardstock for the those adorable "Look for me luggage tags"? I was wondering how they were do with all the man-handling of the luggage. They turned out so cute!!

I CAN NOT WAIT for Convention I keep counting down and have so many butterflies in my tummy this is my 1st Convention so I will be in awe of everything and CAN NOT WAAIIITTT!! :) (((HUGS))) IT ROCKS TO BE A DEMO!!!
