Watercolor Technique - Fabulous Florets Card
May 12, 2011
I combined a watercolor technique, some MDS and some new Stampin' Up! Designer paper here on this Fabulous Florets card.. details below..
I saw the pretty watercolor idea somewhere online.. if it was your card, please email me! :)
First I cut a circle of the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Paper (#105019, pg 170) with the 3-1/2" Circle Big Shot die (#121811), then stamped the 2 images from Just Believe (#120453, pg 109) with Very Vanilla Craft Ink (#104308, pg 169), heat embossed them with Clear Embossing Powder (#109130, pg 196) and the Heat tool (#100005, pg 196), let it cool. Then wet the circle with a spray bottle or a brush and water, and then using reinker ink, and a wet watercolor brush, I brushed 3 colors on the wet paper: Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango and Melon Mambo... let them "spread" together and let the piece dry before adding it to the card.
The larger flowers are printed with My Digital Studio and the Fabulous Florets download (pg 24, item #124110, Summer Mini) and added with stampin' dimensionals. (see this post for more info).
The background paper is the new Beyond the Garden DSP, #122342, on pg 23 of the Summer Mini catalog.
