I have two projects to share with you featuring Retiring Stampin' Up! items.

My first project features a stamp set and a background stamp that I'm really sad to see leave us: the VINTAGE VOGUE stamp set, on pg 147 in the current catalog (item 117690 or 118598), and the MEDALLION background stamp on pg 149, item 115223.

I stamped the Medallion stamp in Chocolate Chip ink on white carstock, cut it out, then cut a slit in it and ran it through the crimper, then pleated it using Sticky Strip to make the "ruffle". Another retiring product I'm sad to see go is the 5/8" Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon!! (#124327)... (hey, it's even on clearance!!) :)

..and my 2nd project showcases a fabulous Stampin' Up! accessory that I am SO SAD to see leave us.. the ELEGANT TRIO stencil set!!! It's on pg 234, item #118262.

This Elegant Trio Stencil card also features the retiring VINTAGE VOGUE stamp set on pg 147, item 117690 or 118598. I used the "emboss resist" technique on the large stenciled flower.. sponged through the stencil with Regal Rose Craft ink, embossed in clear embossing powder, then heated. THEN I sponged the image in the upper left corner with the stencil and Soft Suede ink, but it did not cover where the flower was already embossed (thus, emboss resist - see a video here for that technique).

And yet another RETIRING ACCESSORY on this card.. the lovely CERTAINLY CELERY 5/8" SATIN RIBBON, #117288.
