Christmas Blessings to You!
December 25, 2012
I wish for each of you, my friends,
a beautiful day filled with God's Love and Blessings,
Merry Christmas!
I wish you could have heard the gorgeous singing of the Sunday School Children at our church on Sunday.. it was just beautful!
Thank you God for sending us the best gift ever!
Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Our family tradition when I was young was always to attend the service at our Lutheran Church on Christmas eve (my brother and I always had a part in that) and then to open gifts at our home that evening. On Christmas day we'd wake to see what Santa had left us, then travel to my aunt and uncles or my grandparents for Christmas dinner, fun times with cousins, and exchanging gifts.
My husband's family always did all the celebrating on Christmas day after church (my father in law is a Lutheran minister). We've blended that in our home and we attend Chrsitmas Eve service then open a few gifts and then exchange gifts on Christmas as well. This year we are not travelling anywhere, but staying home and trying something brand new.. we are going to see Les Miserables in the theater today!! I can't tell you how excited I am.. we have seen the production on stage about 7 or 8 times in the San Francisco bay area and it is by far my favorite musical ever!

Late Merry Christmas wishes to you and your guys! We always spend Christmas Eve at my brother & SIL's home, which very nearly did not happen this year...but we were sooo happy that it did... Usually on Christmas Day my husband, son and I go to the movies in the afternoon and have Chinese food at the only restaurant in our area...today we stayed at home and watched TV and slugged around - two new cameras and fun on the video with family! Thanks, Patty!

LOL...the only OPEN restaurant in our area...we have tons of restaurants in a 15 mile radius...but most are closed on Christmas...good for them!

Merry Belated Christmas to you and your family, Patty. My hubby and I had a quiet day at home together. We'll be getting together with extended family this weekend on Sunday the 30th. It really is a small world; we too are Lutheran! I was born and raised in the Lutheran church and attended Lutheran school grades 1-9. My husband joined and was comfirmed before we were married. Have a Blessed New Year!
