I know that burlap is super trendy right now... and to be honest, it's not my favorite thing in the world... but I decided I needed to give it a try and start using it since it's been in the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog for months now... and here is what I came up with ...
CUSTOM COLOR the Burlap Ribbon! Why not?
I just sponged some Cajun Craze ink on the burlap ribbon and wow.. is that too fun?
I found that if I spritzed the ribbon just a bit with either water or rubbing alcohol, then the sponged ink went on easier and a little darker.
And what was my DOLLAR STORE SCORE you ask?
I got all the pumpkins and decor to fill this large basket for only $5 at the Dollar Store!
Who knew, right? Yay for the dollar store!
I die cut some leaves from the Autumn Accents Big Shot die (pg 192, #127812) with the Champagne Glimmer paper from Stampin' Up! (pg156, #127885) to add to the bow decoration.
What You'll Need from Stampin' Up! to Make This Project:
- 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon, pg 18 Holiday catalog #132140
- Champagne Glimmer Paper, #127885
- Autumn Accents Big Shot Die, #127812 << ON SALE THIS WEEK - SEE SALE ITEMS ABOVE!
- Stampin' Sponges, #101610
- Cajun Craze ink pad, #126965

Cute idea to color the burlap, Patty. What a fun way to perk it up.
