Today's Stampin' Up! card features the Hostess set called Bloom with Hope, and I colored it with 3 different sets of Blendabilities Markers.. .Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Skin Tones.  I enjoyed blending colors from all of those packages on the stamped flower images.  Remember, when you are coloring with Blendabilties, be sure your image is stamped with a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad on Whisper White cardstock for best results.

 I die cut a flower using the Flower Fair framelit set and some scraps of designer series paper from the Moonlight Paper Stack - in fact the great bold striped background is from the same pack!  I added punched out pieces for the flower center (see product photos below for more info/ordering links).  A Candy Dot is the perfect last embellishment on the card.  Kind of like the period at the end of the sentence.. right?

Is it a Christmas Card? or just a pretty flower Card?

When I made this card last summer, my friends all said

"it looks like a Christmas card"..

so I waited until now to show it you you all!

What do you think.. could this be a Christmas card?

 I stamped this BEAUTIFUL flower from one of the Stampin' Up! hostess sets with the Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad, on Whisper White paper, then colored it with my Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities markers!  I colored the leaves with the Old Olive markers and cut them both out by hand.  My Blendabilities Video Tutorials are on my YouTube Channel here if you need a few tips for coloring.

The Gold Fancy Designer Vellum comes in a package with 2 sheets of each design shown at left: stripes, polka dots and hearts.  The sheets are 12" x 12" so if you cut them like I did for the card above at 4" or less by 5" or 5-1/4" you will have enough to make 36 cards out of one pack!

I cut the gold striped vellum at 3-3/4" x 5" and layered it onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler cut at 4" x 5-1/4" and layered that onto a folded Whisper White card. TIP: be sure to only add your adhesive behind the solid gold areas.. not behind the vellum portion... the adhesive will show there.

 

Finishing off this card is a small strip of Gold Glimmer Paper (#133719) and Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding ribbon.

Santa in the Chimney Punch Art Gift Box and Gift Bag

How about a little Santa in the Chimney Fun!?

If you've been visiting my blog for awhile, you may remember this idea from 2 years ago... I taught this idea in a Stampin' Up! Punch Art Class.  I decided to revamp my Santas and add them to a gift box and a gift bag!!

All of the fun bricks are easily created with the Stampin' Up! Ticket Duo Builder punch... see the bottom of this post for all online ordering info.

Above: I created the gift box using a 12x12 sheet of Kraft Cardstock (#133674 on pg 192 of the annual catalog) and the Gift Box Punch Board, pg 5 of the Holiday Catalog (#135863).  I wrapped a beautiful piece of Cherry Cobbler 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon around the box... the recipient can still open the top of the box and get the giftie out this way!

Above:  I created this project using one of the new bags on pg 10 of the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.. It's called a Petite Cafe Gift bag.. but it's really not that petite.. it's 8" tall!!  Plenty of room for baked goodies inside the poly-lined bag!

Dotty Angles Thank You Fall cards

Oh Dotty Angles... you have such a funny stamp set name... but oh how I love your fun and quirky dots!!!!

I knew when I saw the 2014/2015 Stampin' UP! catalog that I would be using the Dotty Angles stamp set A LOT... and I was right.. I just love the way these little dots say "let's have a party... even if for no reason at all!" :)

 I combined the Dotty Angles dot stamp with the sweet little leaves in the Fall Fest stamp set and the Another Thank You stamp set with complimentary colors (orange and blue) for a quick and fun set of Customer Thank You cards.

Blendabiilties Markers pulling Double Duty!

Yep Double Duty!!  I used Stampin' UP! Blendabilities Markers both in the background (to color the black and white  Back to Black DSP) and to color in the outline images of the Vivid Vase stamp for a colorful focal point on my card!

BEFORE:  Back to Black Designer Series paper... use Blendabilities markers from Stampin' Up! to color the paper!!

I stamped the Vivid Vases stamp on Whisper White cardstock with my Memento Black ink pad and colored it with Blendabilities markers, too. 

Maybe it's a childhood thing.. but I still love to color... so this is a very relaxing kind of card for me to create.  How about you... do you love to color too?

I'm Thankful... are You Thankful?

I'm so thankful for so many things.. and on a artsy craftsy level I'm super thankful for the amazingly fun products in the Stampin' Up! 2014 Holiday catalog that make my life so much fun!  Can you believe I get to craft and create with these fun projects for a living!? Yep!  Too much fun! :)

I'm blessed to have amazing Stampin' Up! customers who love the products as much as I do. I sent out these Customer Thank You cards a couple weeks ago to several customers. The idea for this card came from a card I received from my friend Ruth Bingle.

My Fall Color Palette comes from the Color Me Autumn paper: Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, and Mossy Meadow.

I did not ink the lines on the I'm Thankful For stamp, but instead, I wrote YOU with my Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Write Marker from the In Color package of makers.

The I'm Thankful For stamp looks like this... I just elected not to ink the lines for my cards.. but when you do ink the entire stamp, this is the perfect image for a Gratitude Book or banner this fall!

Wondrous Wreath Christmas Gift Box

Have you looked at all the great box and gift bag options in the Stampin' Up! catalog on pg 200 and the Holiday catalog on pg 10?  The Decorative Window Gift Box is still one of my favorites (see it on pg 200 or here online). This box is 4x4 square and 1-1/2" tall.  I thought it was perfect to add a die cut Wondrous Wreath image because it already has the round window image!! Need a catalog? Let me know!

In addition to stamping the red berries on this one I decided to add some sweet little flowers.. I punched them out with the Boho Blossoms punch and some printed paper from the Trim the Tree paper stack!  TOO CUTE!!!  :)

How to stamp and die cut the Wondrous Wreath

 Once the wreath is die cut, add Stampin' Dimensionals to the back and place it over the round window sheet opening in the box.

I die cut a ribbon for the wreath using the same Trim the Tree Paper Stack and the bow framelit in the Wondrous Wreath framelit set.  Using the Magnetic Platform is very helpful in keeping the framelit right on the part of the paper pattern you want to use.

Do you love the Pearl centers in each flower? I do!

 I wrapped up the box with about a 24" piece of Cherry Cobbler 1" sheer linen ribbon so that the box can still open even with the pretty ribbon around it.

The cute ghostie is die cut from the Fun Fall Framelits found on pg 46 of the Holiday Catalog.  I created the headstones by punching out Basic Gray cardstock with the Note Tag Punch (pg 13 Holiday catalog).  If you purchase the Merry Everything stamp set, it will include the Good to the Last Bite stamp (and 4 others) and you'll get a 15% discount on your purchase with the set and punch!

Wondrous Wreath Grateful For You card

Feeling so grateful for so many reasons.. one of them is for my recent stamp class attendees at a Stamp A Stack class I held at Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church here in the Bay Area!!  This is one of the cards we created.. and I think everyone really loved it!!  How can you not like this gorgeous Wondrous Wreath stamp!?

Wondrous-wreath-fall-grateful-card-stampin-up-tag One of the design ideas that I particularly love on this card is the layering of the punched out Note Tag Punch over the Chalk Talk framelit die cut. Don't they look great together!?  I picked up that idea from my friend Ruth Bingle!

The wreath was stamped in Daffodil Delight and Cajun Craze. For info on stamping and die cutting this wreath, you can view the Stampin' Up! YouTube video here.

Another design idea you might want to try on this card is to die cut some little leaves using the Fun Fall Framelit dies and cardstock or designer paper. I added them to this version of the same card below:

This is my card submission for CCC18 as part of the Design Team for CCC.

I know.. you are thinking.. she's getting a little brave here... the sketch shows a rectangle and Patty used a circle!  Yep.. steppin' out of the box just a little here.. I just really liked this Hello There greeting in a circle better, so I punched it out with my 2-1/2" circle punch.

I just love these pretty pockets, and you may remember that I used all of the orange, yellow and green ones for my Halloween Founder's Circle swaps.. so I had all the blue and gray ones left over for Customer Thank You cards!

The kit comes with the pockets, journaling cards for inside the pockets, and some stickers, twine and clips so that you can make this into a "30 days of gratitude" banner if you wish.  See all the details on pg 38 of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.

Thanks card featuring the Seasonally Scattered thanks image and leaves and acorns from the For All Things Stamp set. Both sets can be found in the Holiday catalog (pgs 41 and 43).

The trick on this simple thanks card is to avoid stamping over the word thanks with the leaves, so that it remains white and crisp with a lot of contrast to the pretty fall colors.

You may be familiar with the Control Freaks group that I belong to.. we have a blog tour on the 20th of each month and we also swap cards several times a year... check out this ADORABLE Halloween card my friend Steph made for one of our Control Freak swaps!! I love this! I thought you would too and wanted to share it!

This cute Halloween card features the stamp set on page 112 in the Annual Stampin' UP! catalog called YOU LITTLE FURBALL.  What a fun name for a stamp set!!  LOL  and how cute is this that the kitty is peeking out of a punch art pumpkin!?

I Mustache You a Question...

I made this cute treat bag this weekend and then I saw the Mustache Framelit on sale so I couldn't resist blogging this even though we are still in October! :)  You can find these great poly-lined Cafe treat bags on page 10 of the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.. They are 8" tall and hold lots of fab goodies for any occasion, and you get 10 in a package for only $5.95! (#135826, order yours here).  I covered the front of the bag with a scrap of paper from my Nordic Noel paper package (pg 15 Holiday catalog #135822).

THEN comes the fun part... the Nutcracker tag!!  I stamped Mr. Nutcracker from the Santa Stache stamp set on a 2" wide piece of Whisper White cardstock (punched with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch) using the Memento Black ink pad, then colored him with Stampin' Up! Blendabilities markers!  I stamped the mustache portion a 2nd time on a scrap and die cut it with my Mustache framelit (#133741)... ok.. I ask you .. is he fun or what!?

You guessed it..  I colored the Nutcracker with Stampin' Up! Blendabilities markers!!  LOVE those markers.. and of course I LOVE to color, too!  For Blendabilities video tutorials, view my YouTube Blendabilities playlist.

Here is a fun photo of our Blendablitites class on Saturday.. we had a great time and most of the gals didn't want to stop coloring!! I can so relate!
