Spring and Easter Control Freak Blog Tour
March 19, 2014
WELCOME to the March 2014
Control Freak
Blog Tour!!!
Our theme this month:
Spring and Easter ideas
You have probably reached me after visiting Heidi Baks' fabulous blog, and if not, be sure to travel backwards on the tour and visit her! :)
The first project I have to share with you is a cute punch art Easter Bunny featuring the Stampin' Up! Oval Collection framelits and oval punches. Isn't she just TOO CUTE? (yes, she's a she!) :)
I had seen this idea online and my upline Sandy shared this bunny idea with me as well. I thought my little bunny would look cute in a green polkadot Easter basket (from the dollar spot in Target)!
Do you like her? I am trying to think of a name for her... hmmmm any ideas?
<<<< You can die cut and punch all the pieces you need from a 6x6 piece of designer paper. This double sided pattern was from the Calypso Coral Celebration Add-on kit (#133431) found on page 30 of the Occasions catalog. The brown polka dots are on the other side of this pattern.
I used both the Oval Collection Framelits (#129381) and 3 different oval punches to create this cutie pie Easter Bunny and her polka dot Easter egg!
The eyes are punched with the circle from the Itty Bitty Punch Shapes pack (#118309), and the nose is the Small Heart Punch (#117193). I used the Chalk Marker (#132133) on the eyes and a Basic Black marker to draw the whiskers and eyelashes.
I honestly think that the last 6 weeks could possibly be the fastest EVER! Where did the time go? I haven't even had enough time to play with all my Sale a Bration goodies yet and Sale a Bration is almost done!
I know....WHAT!? REALLY? YES! it's almost done!
Well, since we have very little time left to share during Sale a Bration I wanted to share one of my favorite SAB card creations with you:
This is a pretty simple card and it just screams SPRING doesn't it!?
I just can't get enough of the gorgeous Sweet Sorbet Designer Paper choice this Sale a Bration! It's so springy and colorful! To receive your pack, enter item code 133521 as your free item with your $50 order online! You can click the shop online button at the top of my blog to place your order.
I added 2 focal points to this card.. a punched tag using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch (#133324) and a die cut label from the Apothecary Accents framelit set (#127003). I've stamped them with the Petal Parade stamp set, which is ANOTHER freebie item from Sale a Bration!!! Doesn't that stamp set just go perfectly with the patterned paper!? You almost can't tell which part is stamped and which is the paper! :)
Thank you for coming along on the tour today!! Please enjoy all of the other beautiful spring and Easter projects we have lined up for you!!

LOVE your bunny! She is too cute! I love that you have 2 focal points on your card too. The tag topper punch and the Apothecary Accents go great together.

Okay, that bunny is off-the-charts cute! And I agree, the Sweet Sorbet paper is my favorite SAB paper ever! I'm going to miss it when it's gone. Love the double focal points on the card - very cool!

So sweet! Name her Patty and then make a boy bunny and name him Bennett. (Corny, I know, but cute.) : )

Hi Patty,
Love your cute little bunny. I think you should name her Daisy! She just looks like a Daisy to me!
Thanks for sharing.
