Bohemian Bag in a Box by Wendy

Do you remember the recent Stampin' UP! Incentive Trip to Hawaii that my family and I went on in May?  Well, when we were there, my sweet little friend Macie could not wait to see us and give me a sweet gift!! She had picked out a darling little Post-It Note packet for me to keep in my purse, and her mom, Wendy, made this fabulous "Bag in a Box" for Macie to put the gift in!

The Bohemian paper is so pretty.. the colors are rich and wonderful, and the patterns are amazing!!  I'll be posting some cards I made using this paper soon!

TAG DETAILS & TIPS:

The tag is die cut out of Blackberry Bliss cardstock using the Chalk Talk framelit set, and embellished with a Delightful Dijon tag stamped with the Bohemian Borders set (pg 96 of the new Stampin' Up! catalog).  She stamped "it's for you" using the Amazing Birthday stamp set... you can see and purchase all of the products for this project in my online store by clicking on any of the product photo links below. Did you see how Wendy died the Jute ribbon with the Delightful Dijon Classic Stampin' Ink Refill?  Too fun! custom colored ribbon! You can do that either by spritzing it with a Stampin' Spritzer that has rubbing alcohol and reinker in it, or, you can dye it in a cup with water and reinker!

When I was on the Stampin' UP! Incentive trip to Hawaii in May, I won a package of the amazingly beautiful English Garden Designer paper!!  You'll find it on pg 142 of the NEW 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! catalog (or HERE in my online store)!  You can just call it the "Patty Bennett Paper" if you want to :)   Like the recent Painted Blooms paper, this is just right up my alley with all the gorgeous floral designs!!

While on the trip, I also saw a demonstrator named Marelle Taylor demonstrate a unique way to make beautiful cards with this pack of paper!  She did something similar to my samples below, but she ripped the paper instead of cutting... you can try either method!

I embellished each card with a simple tag, stamped with the flower from the new You've Got This stamp set, pg 113 in the new catalog.  See product table below for easy ordering for all of these products.

These tags are fun and easy.. cut your Whisper White cardstock into 2" wide strips (I cut mine to 4-1/4" high) and then stamp with the flower from You've Got This and add the "Good Things" sentiment from the same set!

NEW Catalog Market Fresh Samples!

On our recent Stampin' UP! Incentive Trip to Hawaii, we were treated to several displays and demonstrations featuring new Stampin' UP! products!  One of the fabulous demonstrations was presented by Judy Prahl!  She showed us a fun watercoloring technique using Stampin' Write Markers scribbled onto a tile and then used a Blender Pen or AquaPainter to pick up color and color in the stamped Market Fresh images!!

You'll find the Market Fresh stamp set on pg 116 of the NEW 2015-2016 Stampin' UP! Catalog and the Farmer's Market coordinating paper on pg 143!  Remember you can order these NEW items beginning on June 2, 2015.

Below is a terrific comparison that Judy did by stamping and coloring in this set on Stampin' UP! Watercolor paper, Very Vanilla Cardstock and Whisper White cardstock.  Shimmery White cardstock is also a great alternative for watercoloring techniques.  You'll want to use the StazOn black pad when watercoloring.

It might be a little hard to tell in the photo but the results on the Watercolor Paper were much more vibrant and really beautiful!

And THEN I turned around and saw the table with the 3-D swaps and saw this gorgeous wall decor piece!

and THEN I turned around and WHO was standing there.. the CREATOR of these AMAZING creations, Shannean Moncreiff.... OH MY GOSH>> I hugged her and told her I just wanted to kiss her!!  :)  She probably thought I was nuts, but wow... her amazing creations just had me in a tizzy!! :)

Stampin' Up! Incentive Hawaii Trip gifts and Fun

I am so blessed to enjoy yet another Stampin' Up! incentive trip with my family.. I love being able to go on vacation with my husband and son to wonderful places.  Thank you to my amazing customers who support my business and allow us the opportunity to take these wonderful trips each year.  This year we were in Honolulu at the Sheraton Waikiki for several days, and enjoyed this amazing view of Diamond Head and the Waikiki beach and hotels!

Our fun gift on the first night was that we were able to pick out 2 pair of Maui Jim sunglasses... on one of the previous Stampin' UP! trips (to Alaska) we had the same wonderful gift and I can tell you they are the best sunglasses I've ever had, so I was thrilled to get a new pair!

There are shops everywhere with quilted Hawaiian designs and I had been admiring them as we walked around Waikiki... I was thrilled to receive a cute quilted bag from Stampin' Up! one night on our pillow!!!

Well, I truly wish I could work here every day and enjoy this view.. I've loved the beach and ocean ever since I was a little girl (growing up in So. California, it's almost a given).. so this was truly a beautiful view to enjoy each day!

And I truly think every Stampin' Up! meeting should take place in this "board room" :)

Stampin' UP! Sheraton Waikiki Incentive Trip photos

We are so blessed to be spending time with our fellow Stampin' Up! Trip achievers here in Honolulu at the Sheraton Waikiki Resort!! I wanted to share some photos with you today of our trip to the USS Arizona memorial in Pearl Harbor... we learned so much about that day, that part of the war, what lead up to that attack, etc. .. I know we learned all these things in US History class in High School, but I'll tell, you, this trip REALLY brought it all to life.. very moving, very sobering, and very interesting!

Stampin' UP! Hawaii Card Swap - New Stamp Set

"You've Got This" Stampin' Up! Swap Card - Hawaii Incentive Trip

What a fun name for a new stamp set!!!  When you get your new 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! catalog, please turn immediately to pg 113 and look at this fun stamp set!!  I love it!!  It will definitely be in my top 3 in the entire catalog!

I stamped 26 of these note cards to bring to Hawaii to swap with other demonstrators!  Today we are picking up our bags of swap cards on the Stampin' Up! Hawaii Incentive Trip. My swap card features the NEW "You've Got This" floral stamp, greetings and beautiful hatched background stamp!

I used the background "hatch" pattern stamp in this new set on the Stampin' Up! Whisper White note card in Mint Macaron (new In Color for 2015-2017), and then stamped the flower image in StazOn Black ink on Watercolor paper, then did a watercolor wash over the flower with Watercolor Wonder and Mint Macaron!  I added speckles from my Gorgeous Grunge speckle stamp in Watermelon Wonder and then tied it up with new Watermelon Wonder lace trim!!  eeek!!!

Each one turns out differently with the watercolor wash over the flower.. I love them!

Greetings from the Stampin UP! Hawaii Incentive Trip!

What an amazing trip we are enjoying here at the Sheraton Waikiki resort in Honolulu!!  Many thanks to Stampin' Up! for this amazing Incentive trip!

 REMINDER: Double Points on your Free Stamps with Patty form while I'm in Hawaii!

Our first night was delightful with a buffet and welcome reception around the Helumoa Playground pool!

Yesterday we enjoyed a trip with all of the other Stampin' Up! trip achievers and their families to the Polynesian Cultural Center.  Here are a few pix from our canoe ride there and the Parade of Polynesian Nations! Amazing costumes and performances!

When we got back from the Polynesian Cultural Center, we walked next door to the Royal Hawaiian hotel (the famous pink hotel) and then onto the beach and over to Duke's for dinner.. what a great evening and fabulous Waikiki beach photo opp!   We are going to take a tour of the Royal Hawaiian tomorrow, so I'll have pix of it soon!
