Welcome to day 2 of a 3 part series featuring these adorable Snow Place / Snow Friends stamps and dies from the Stampin' UP! 2015 Holiday catalog!
Did you read my blog post from yesterday? You'll know how much I love penguins if you did :)
How cute are these penguin stamps from the Snow Place stamp set!? And they are so easily die cut with the Snow Friends framelits!!!! whohooo! All of the pieces are stamped and then die cut in the Big Shot.
These happy penguins are peeking out from 2 different circles, punched with the 2" circle punch in a piece of Season of Cheer designer paper. I stamped the snowflakes onto the striped paper.
I Love the fonts in the Seasonal Snapshot Project Life stamp set, and used them for the Merry Christmas sentiment on the punched out tag.
Stampin' UP! offers a 15% discount when you purchase this cute stamp set and framelit bundle together!
It's kind of like paper dolls for grown ups.. right!?
I created this project after seeing one of my friends use a gold foil butterflies die cut and I just had to try it!!! My card is a "top fold card" (4-1/4" x 11" folded in 1/2) on Calypso Coral cardstock, stamped in the background with the fern from the Butterfly Basics stamp set.
My butterfly is topped with 2 punched butterflies using the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches with Vellum cardstock and Something Borrowed DSP. A strip of pearls is the perfect finishing touch!!
What do you think ... Love the Gold Foil butterfly? Maybe try it with the Silver foil?
When I was looking at the display boards in Hawaii featuring all of the Trip Achievers swap cards, I (and many others) immediately noticed one particularly amazing sample... you can see it here below on the right...
How stunning is this 3-d flower on this gorgeous card!?
It was created with the Beautiful Bunch stamp set (click here), Butterfly Basics (click here) and the ovals framelits (click here).
And THEN I turned around and saw the table with the 3-D swaps and saw this gorgeous wall decor piece!
and THEN I turned around and WHO was standing there.. the CREATOR of these AMAZING creations, Shannean Moncreiff.... OH MY GOSH>> I hugged her and told her I just wanted to kiss her!! :) She probably thought I was nuts, but wow... her amazing creations just had me in a tizzy!! :)
I love making new friends and was thrilled to have a photo taken with some of my new South Pacific trip achiever friends, Debbie, Helen and Shannean!!
Thanks ladies for sharing your time with me and your amazing creations!
Birthday cards are always so much fun, right!? Cheery! Bright! Happy! And I think this one doesn't disappoint!! I got the general idea for this card from one of the swap cards I received on our Hawaii Stampin' UP! Trip. I loved the idea of using the washi tape as the candle!! How cute is that!?
Get your WISH LIST ready, because you are going to want to put these pretty new In Colors, vibrant Washi Tape and fun stamp set on your 2015-2016 catalog wish list!
NEW products (see your 2015/2016 Stampin' Up! Catalog):
Build a Birthday stamp set, pg 11, #138646
Cherry on Top Washi Tape, pg 157 #138384
Watermelon Wonder cardstock, pg 137 #138334
The cute "enjoy" stamp comes from the new "All About Sugar" set on pg 61.. we got that set free on our Hawaii Stampin' Up! trip! yipppeeee!!
The cake stamp set is in several pieces, so you can "layer" the cake as high as you want to with as many colors as you wish!
The striped candle is the Cherry On Top Washi Tape, and the flame is the bird wing from the Bird Builder punch #117191 punched out of the new Cherry on Top paper stack.
Check that out... just lift off one whole row of rhinestones (or you could use the pearls) and place them right on the base of the cake!! What fun!
Do you have a new Stampin' UP! catalog yet!? If not, let me know so I can get one to you! Or ask your demonstrator if you already have one!
I am loving these cheery polka dots... I actually combined papers from 2 different Stampin' UP! paper packages to create these fun Customer Thank You Note Cards!
I combined the Crisp Cantaloupe/White polka dot paper from the Sweet Dreams package (pg 39 of the Occasions catalog) with the black and white polka dots from the Stacked with Love Paper Stack (pg 5 of the Occasions catalog). I added my favorite Calypso Coral seam binding ribbon and Calypso Coral cardstock and boom.. done! :)
Do you love the cute basket and flower in the background? If you missed the adorable Berry Basket and flower when I posted it a few weeks ago, check it out here!
I had lots of Thank You's to send out.. so here was my haul of stamped Thank You's that day.. A Huge Thank You to all my customers.. I love you all!
I stamp the back of my cards with some kind of handstamped-by stamp.. this is one of the fun personalized stamps available only until June 2nd (2015) from Stampin' UP!. Design and order yours online here!
GULP!That's what I said when I realized that this gorgeous Painted Petals stamp set is NOT in the new 2015/2016 Stampin' Up! Catalog that starts on June 2nd!! OH MY GOSH.. I am so sad ... I love this set!!!! Good thing I've used it a lot this spring, but I was seriously hoping to use it more! :)
I created these sweet little 4x4 cards using Sahara Sand cardstock and the beautiful Something Borrowed designer paper with pops of Daffodil Delight and Crisp Cantaloupe ink! A doily and a "flag" just finish off this card perfectly!
The focal point for my card was punched out with the 2-1/2" circle punch.. I think I've used that more than any other size circle punch!
I got my inspiration for my 4x4 cards from my friend Cindee.. you can see her card in the center below... I switched it up a bit and made mine 4x4 cards instead of traditional size cards.
This was my Stampin' UP! color combo for this project:
So.. I have a question for you ...Considering the fact that this beautiful stamp set and this paper is on the RETIRING LIST and will not be available in the new catalog after June 2nd... Do You Have Everything You Want from the Retiring List?
Cindee Wilkinson designed this fun card and I made it at her house a couple weekends ago... how cute is this little artist's easel!? I'm sure anyone would love to receive this hand stamped birthday card!
The chalkboard part is embossed with White ink and White embossing powder on the Chalkboard paper! We used the Balloon Bash stamp set on pg 13 of the Occasions catalog - it's only available until June 2nd.. here is the ONLINE STORE link!
The Artist Easel part is so easy..
1. Cut your cardstock to 4-1/4"x11, and fold cardstock in 1/2.
2. To create the woodgrain, put some Soft Suede ink onto your Woodgrain embossing folder and then place your card into the folder, run it through the Big Shot, and voila.. you have embossed woodgrain!
3. Use the Decorative Label Punch to punch right in the center of the 4-1/4" width of the card!!
And you know.. it's always helpful to have a doggie helper sleeping on your foot while you craft.. right!? thanks Jessie!
Thanks Cindee for the fun card design and fun day at your house!
How about this.. 5 Matchbook Style cards, ALL CUT AND SCORED, plus all the embellishments... ready to go... yep.. that's what you will find in the Hooray It's Your Day card kit!! yahooo!!! You'll find 5 of these matchbook style cards plus 15 other card bases, envelopes, and tons of embellishment pieces in this kit!!
See the Hooray It's Your Day card kit on pg 16 of the Occasions catalog or here in my online store. It's notin the new 2015/2016 catalog that starts on June 2nd.. so grab one now if you want it!
I'm just thinking these are WAY too much fun!! AND I love that I don't have to cut or measure ANYTHING!
I added the celebrate stamp to these cards because I just think it's a super stamp.. it is in the Fabulous Four set, #134717 (wood) and #134174 (clear mount).

Today is a special day... Mother's Day! Happy Mother's Day to all of my "mom friends"! I also realized it's 5-10-15 which is just a SUPER cool date!! I was guessing there might me lots of weddings going on today because of the cool date, So.. why not share a wedding card I recently made!?
As I mentioned in this previous blog post, our niece Amy just got married... and of course I had to create a handmade wedding card for her... I used the beautiful "For the New Two" stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog and Calypso Coral ink and embossing powder to make it really special!
I wish we could have handed this to Josh and Amy in person, but, unfortunately, the 3 of us ended up SO sick that Easter Weekend and had to miss the wedding, but we wish them all the best and send all our love!
This is Amy and Josh with my father-in-law (her grandpa) who married them. My father-in-law is a Lutheran minister and has married all of his kids and grandkids.. what a neat honor!
Do you love Card Kits!? I do!! After over 20 years of teaching classes and prepping the supplies for everyone else, I TRULY love it when I can sit down and open a package or box and just CREATE with the kit supplies!! Thank you Stampin' Up! for the great Hooray It's Your Day card kit!!! See it on pg 16 of the Occasions catalog or here in my online store. It's not in the new catalog.. so grab one now if you want it!
The cards above are the popular File Folder Pocket Cards that come in the kit.. there are also 15 other cards in the kit. If you want to make File Folder Pocket Cards but don't have this kit, you can also make them with the Envelope Punch Board, please WATCH THE VIDEO here for instructions.
Aren't the embellishments cute!? The kit comes with fun accessories like wooden elements, stencils (masks), tags, word bubbles, die cut balloons, number stickers, twine and more!! That's in addition to the supplies to make 20 card and envelopes!
I also "embellished" by adding scrap strips of Sweet Dreams designer paper with the Stampin' UP! stapler to the front of the pocket card!
TIP: Use the Liquid Multipurpose glue (sparingly!) to add the wooden elements.
Grab the matching stamp set HERE online, too.. you'll be happy you did!
Hooray It's Your Day stamp set, #137164, only $13.95
I love the card above.. I used the sunburst mask to add some sunrays to the tag, then stamped It's All About You today and the stars over the background!
See 2 of my other Hooray It's Your Day cards here:
In my Stampin' UP! world, my thought is: just add a pop of black and you have a great project.. so I added the black and white Stacked with Love Washi Tape to these cards! It's on pg 5 of the Occasions catalog and also is not in the new catalog that starts on June 2nd.. so get it now if you want it! #137789 here online.
If you'd like to see more card making supplies and samples that come in this kit, watch the Stampin' UP! Video below!
Our niece, Amy, recently got married to a super guy named Josh.. and for her bridal shower, I sent her THESE THANK YOU NOTE BOXES made from empty Project Life boxes. Below is the card I mailed with the boxes for her bridal shower.. I think you could also use this for a wedding card!
The background is stamped with a limited time offering stamp called Something Lacy.. I'm really sad that it's only available until June 2nd!!! You can see it in my online store here! I stamped it in Crisp Cantaloupe ink on Whisper White paper then layered it onto a folded Crisp Cantaloupe folded card. Crisp Cantaloupe is one of my all time favorite colors.. I'm sad it's retiring too!!
Below is the 411 on creating this card.. the sentiment is from the "For the New Two" stamp set which I'm happy to tell you will also be in the new Stampin' Up! catalog!! yay!!!
I used 3 sweet little ribbon flowers on this card.. they were from the Artisan Embellishment kit that sold out quickly... I am learning that it's important to get Stampin' Up! products quickly after they are released because so many from the Occasions catalog sold out quite quickly this year!
I love the 3-1/2" x 5" Stampin' UP! Whisper White Note Cards.. If you have ever received a customer Thank You card from me, chances are you've received one of the note cards. I LOVE them.. really thick sturdy white cardstock and a great size for stamping and decorating!
Below you'll see 2 versions of one note card I designed for Customer Thank You cards featuring the beautiful Butterfly Basics stamp set and Butterflies Thinlit dies.

The butterflies above are die cut with the smallest butterfly from the Butterflies Thinlit package.. they are all great die cuts!!
I am pretty sure that this "Love is Kindness" single stamp in the 2015 Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog is one of my all time fave single stamps... do you love it, too!?
I also love how it pairs nicely with the tulip paper background.. that paper is from my totally all time fave paper pack: Painted Blooms!!
Just for a little different presentation, I stamped the image on a Deco Label Framelit die, and then cut off one side and offset it on my Stampin' UP! Whisper White note card... I really like it for a change!
You'll find the "Love is Kindness" single stamp on pg 32 in the Occasions catalog or HERE online
and you will find the beautiful Painted Blooms paper on pg 19 in the Occasions catalog or HERE online
Coloring Options:
I found that I enjoyed all of these coloring options for this stamp: Stampin' Write Markers, Blender Pens, Aqua Painters and the recently discontinued Blendabilities makers. All of them make great coloring options for this stamp.
What is your current favorite coloring technique/method? Leave me a comment and let me know. Do you want to see any coloring tutorials from me? If so, let me know.
Earlier in April, I featured the Adventure Bound Paper Stack and Adventure Awaits stamp set from page 40/41 of the 2015 Stampin' UP! Occasions catalog in projects created by my Luv 2 Stamp Group.
