Perfect Pair Pedal Pusher Love Note for Hubby

I thought you might enjoy seeing this fun card idea, pairing the new Pedal Pushers Sale a Bration stamp set from Stampin' Up! with a Project Life card... the Project Life card was already printed with "we're the perfect pair" and I thought this stamp was perfect for it!

I made this card for Eric, my hubby for Valentine's day :)

I created this card for my hubby for Valentine's Day but it would also make a great anniversary card or just an "I love you" card, too!

 

Stampin' UP! Pedal Pusher Sale a Bration stamp set - bicycle built for 2 perfect pair card by Patty Bennett

After stamping the bicycle built for two onto the Project Life card with Archival Black ink, I colored it in with Stampin' Write markers.  The 2 little hearts were printed on the card, and I wrote our initials with a Project Life journaling pen.

I also cut down the original 4" x 6" size of the card to layer it onto Real Red Cardstock then onto a piece of the cloud metallic specialty paper in the Shine On package (pg 31 Occasions catalog).  THEN I layered it all on to a folded Thick Whisper White card.

I had some left over pieces of both the Sheer Perfection Vellum and the Irresistibly Yours paper on my desk, so I sponged color on the Irresistibly Yours paper with Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight ink and a sponge dauber, then put a piece of the Sheer Perfection Vellum on top... wow.. FUN COMBO!

Big Day Sale a Bration Birthday Card

Just about everyone sends Birthday Cards, right!?

Well, how about some fun, easy and colorful birthday card ideas?

When I was stamping at Cindee's house last week, we found the idea on the left on Pinterest, and then "reworked" it into the idea on the right!

Our Stampin' Up! Color Palette:  Real Red, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake

In the video, I explained how we used the Gorgeous Grunge "splatter dots" on the card above with the Big Day Sale a Bration birthday stamp.  I punched out the image with the 2-1/2" circle punch, then layered it onto the Starburst die cut with Daffodil Delight cardstock and the Stampin' Up! Big Shot... CUTE!, right!?

 After making the 1st card pretty much like the one on Pinterest, we made the card above with the same colors and same design layout, but used the Balloon Bash stamp set instead!  Balloon Bash is on pg 13 of the Occasions catalog or HERE online.

The stars are die cut with the Stars framelit dies and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper, then sponged with Bermuda Bay ink!! 

The Starburst framelit is sponged around the edge with Real Red ink to make it really POP!

Berry Basket on a Card!

When I was stamping at Cindee's house last week, she was SO kind to give me a sweet gift and a handmade card... today I'm sharing that card with you!  She used the Berry Basket Big Shot die "flat" on the front of the card!  See her tutorial here!

Chalkboard Birthday Card stamping with Cindee and Patty

I have such a FUN video to share with you today!

I know I have shared with you before about my fun stamping days at Cindee's house.. she has a MOST awesome craft room that can easily seat both of us (plus about 6 more people!) (mine is small.. take the tour here)... we did something different and fun this time.. we made a video!  It was not rehearsed.. but we hope you enjoy it!!!

Above: These are the fun birthday cards you saw us making on the video.

We used lots of goodies from the 2015 Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog: the Chalkboard paper, Colorbox Chalk Ink Pads, and the Big Day Sale a Bration stamp set in our projects.  We also added Washi Tape and stenciled the backgrounds of our cards with the Stars and Hearts mask as well as the Dots and Stripes mask!

The Big Day stamp set is a free item you can select with your $50 or more online order - but ONLY until March 31, 2015!  That is when Sale a Bration ENDS!

Below: Cindee used the dots mask on her 3 cards and I used the stars mask on my cards.  We used the beautiful ColorBox Chalk inks to stencil onto our Whisper White cardstock with Sponge Daubers.. oh it is SO PRETTY in person!!

It's easy to make your tags:  Cut the Chalkboard paper (pg 25 in the Occasions catalog) into 2" wide strips, then punch them with any one of the Stampin' Up! Tag Topper punches.. we used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.

We added Washi Tape from the Stacked With Love package and also some Washi from the Sweet Dreams package.

Cindee discovered that it looks really cool to sponge with the chalk ink around the edge of the tag, too!

Today I am sharing 2 cards that I created with this set.. the one above features the flowers from the Nature's Perfection set cut out with Paper Snips and layered onto the card.  I stamped a piece of Whisper White paper with Gorgeous Grunge in Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe and then stamped the flower image in Black Memento ink over that, then cut them out!  Fun way to "color" the flowers, right?

On the card above, I used a sponging technique - SEE THIS VIDEO for instructions for making this type of card.

I was so delighted to see that the butterfly in this set matches the Beautiful Butterfly punch... whew!! :)

Both of my card projects today feature the color combo of Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe and Daffodil Delight.

Nature's Perfection Layered Paper Flower Gift Box

March 13, 2015

 

I was asked to contribute samples to Stampin' Up! with the Nature's Perfection Sale a Bration stamp set, and I am delighted to share the cute Tiny Treat gift box with a layered paper flower from the Nature's Perfection stamp set with you today!

See below for step by step directions to create the paper flower.

I pierced the center and added an Antique Brad to hold all the layers together!

Stampin' Dimensionals worked best for holding the flower onto the box.

I also used the Sahara Sand Lace to wrap around the box, after stamping the box with the Hardwood Background stamp.

Another tip.. just to dress up the tag a little bit, I used my Paper Piercer, Piercing mat and Essentials Paper Piercing templates to add and oval of pierced holes around the stamped greeting.

Above/Below:  I sponged the back of the striped piece with Soft Suede ink and a Stampin' Sponge, then used a Soft Suede marker to draw lines on every other stripe.  To create the plaid effect above, turn one overlapping piece 90 degrees and you'll get plaid!

Above: Punch 2 sweet flowers with the Petite Petals flower punch and whisper white cardstock and the polka dot vellum from the Sheer Perfection vellum stack, add buttons from the In Color accessory Sale a Bration package.
