More Celebrating...

20 years with Stampin' Up!, More Blog Candy Prizes, and a fun cork board project for you today!

20-year-anniversary-stampin-up-pattystamps-convention-pins

So I had this "bright idea".... gather all my pins from Stampin' Up! events and achievements from the past 20 years, and display them on a cork board... I thought.. easy peasy.. spell out 20 and display it... BUT... when I started to lay out all the pins I quickly realized there were WAY more pins than I would need... so... I just filled in the 0 :)  hee hee..

I'm missing all of my pins from the year 2011 (have NO idea where they are)... when I find them, and get my pins at the Stampin' Up! convention this summer for 2015, I'll have to figure something else out for all of those pins!  Any suggestions?

20-year-anniversary-stampin-up-pattystamps-cork-frame-pins

The frame is a very light-weight wood frame from Michaels and I spray painted just the perimeter with some black spray paint I already had, then I cut down the cork sheets and glued them to the wood - thank you for everyone on Facebook who suggested the E6000 glue.. it worked perfectly!

OK, Now on to the Blog Candy Prize!!!

If you'd like to win this selection of 5 packs of retired In Color Cardstock, my gently used 5 retired In Color Markers and 3 retired DSP stacks, LEAVE ME A COMMENT and tell me your favorite In Color of all time AND how long you have been following my blog... There is no wrong answer, but I've only been blogging for 8 years... so hopefully you won't say 20 years :)

What an unique way to display your achievements. I know there will be many more. I think the color that has stuck with me is Soft Suede from 2009-2010 and still with us. A go to color for so many projects. I have been visiting your blog for at least 6 to 7 years. Always a joy to keep up with your family and projects. Enjoy and stamp it up.

Beth Daniels

Love the cork board. Thanks for sharing how you did it. I have been following you for about 3 years. You have so many great ideas. My favorite color of all time was Concord Crush. It wasn't around for long. My favorite current color has to be Old Olive.

Tracy Palenik

Mary Ann Ely

Darlene

I have been following your blog for 3 - 4 years. I would have to say my favorite color is strawberry slush at this time. I really love color so it is hard to choose just one. Thanks for all of your wonderful inspiration over the years!!

Melissa Flieg

Tip Top Taupe tops my fave list. So easy to use for any occasion card. Love following you and your inspiration.

Jenny Fulton

I really love, and will miss, Coastal Cabana. Such a great color among many. I have been following your blog for about 4 years. Thanks for all the inspiration!

Shirley Stachowiak

I have to pick just one favorite color? I guess it would be soft suede, it is the color I find myself reaching for over and over again. I have been a faithful/daily reader of your bloc for the past 4 years! So glad I found it!

Laura Longueira

Strawberry Slush-love the color and the name! I can't remember how long I have been following you-4 years or more? Love the pins!

Calypso Coral would be my favorite! Congrats on 20 years with SU!, WOW! I've been a follower of yours for about 2 years and you are an inspiration to us all! :)

pat preszler

Coastal Cabana is my favorite. Years ago I saw your tutorial on the Fifth Avenue Watercolor Roses and have been checking since then!

Joan S.

Favorite in color was melon mambo (guess it was popular and that's why it's a regular color now!) I've only been following about 6 months, but love your ideas and especially love your inspirational swatchbook.

peggy dianne bell

my favorite is coastal cabana . I have been watching your blog for years. you are very talented, check every day to see what you have posted.

Julie Kight

Congrats! I have been following you since March when I started with Stampin' Up!. My fave color so far would have to be Watermelon Wonder with Coastal Cabana a close second. I would love this blog candy as I tried to get more cardstock and they were all gone.

Melodie

I love the idea with your pins, I do have one suggestion, though. I think that if you spray painted the corkboard black as well, you would be able to see the pins much better. As for in colors, I really love strawberry slush and coastal cabana, also really loved gumball green. I really hated to see them all go!

Melodie

forgot to say that I have been reading your blog for 4 or so years!

sndy1

I think I have been following your blog for about four years. Favorite color is old olive--thanks.

Deepa M.

Hi Patty! You should make a double row out of the 2 with the extra pins - or you can attach lengths of ribbon and add pins along the bottom of the frame. My all time favorite color has to be coastal cabana, before that it was certainly celery for a long time. I've been following your blog since the early days (late 2007) and remember all the flowers you had cut out for your convention swaps in 2008. Congrats again on the milestone! How fun to see all the pins from over the years.

Sara Nell Langland

Hi, Patty. I'm not commenting for blog candy, I just have a suggestion for your pins (I love your idea BTW). When you find the lost ones and get your new ones from convention, just square off your numbers. That should use them up and keep your 20 intact. Then you'll have to start a new corkboard for 21 and beyond!

Becky Bakley

I love what you did with your cork board. All my Disney pins are on cork boards too, but I did not make it look special like yours. My Office has 7 cork boards of the Sorcerer's Apprentice from Fantasia.

I am really a blue person, so I would say Brilliant Blue.

I have been following you since 4/4/14 - have enjoyed every minute of it.

Sandy Curtis

I would have to say Crisp Cantaloupe. It's so hard to choose just one! I have been following your blog for about 3 or even 4 years now and I LOVE IT!! Such great projects and stamping techniques that you share to help all stampers no matter how long they have been at it! Thanks for all you do and I look forward to more!!

Sandy C.

Brooke Hicks

Well my favorite In Color is from 2011 now in the subtle collection; "Pool Party". 2011 is the year I found you as well.

Ginger Grogan

I've been following you for 4 years. Love your creativity. Thx for the chance.

RedGem

My favorite in-color is Crisp Cantaloupe... and together with Watermelon Wonder it will make a wonderful fruit salad... haha.

Mary Ann H.

My fav In Color is Pistachio Pudding. I have been following your blog about four years since I "saw the light" and was introduced to SU! Thank you for the blog candy!

Kathy O

Crisp Cantaloupe--still my fav!!
Congrats on a wonderful career!!

Mary Grunder

I love so many different colors it's hard to pick just one - so I'll cheat a little and go with two purples - LOVE the combination of Wisteria Wonder with Concord Crush! I have only been following your blog for a few months - you have great ideas! Congrats on your 20th anniversary!

Caroline Ridenour

Hi Patty, I've been following your blog for about 3 yrs. I think, so it's probably 4 ha ha! Time flies by so quickly. My all time favorite color is Lucky Limeade, adore it. Just recently tragedy struck and my marker went dry, boo hoo! Luckily my demonstrator came to my rescue with a reinker. So funny because my favorite color is blue, but there's just something about lucky that I love. Thanks so much for a terrific blog with great ideas. Congrats and blessings on your 20th anniversary.

Nancy Plymale

My all time favorite color is Summer Sun... Nancy P...

Pam stewart

W/out a doubt my fav color = more mustard!!! Woo! HOO! I have been blessed to follow your blog for all 8yrs, I think?! & I ❤️ It!! I'm ALWAYS inspired! U r an awesome SU demo Patty. 😎 here's to another 20!!! 😑

Paige

Cool Caribbean, it's an oldie but a goodie. I have been following your blog for around 6 years.

Emma S.

I still dream of Cool Caribbean. That will ALWAYS be my favorite. I guess I've been reading your blog for about 4 years!

Blanca Gonzalez

Hi Patty, I've only been following you for a year now and I love your work. I use a lot of the examples and change it up a bit to make them my own. But my favorite In Colors are Crisp Cantaloupe and Pear Pizzazz. I love the combination of the two together. I created some Baby Shower cards with these two and they looked lovely.

Kathy Riebel

I have been following you off and for 5 or 6 years. I love all the Stampin Up! colors and have to add all the new ones every year but I use the Bold Brights more than any other ink pads. I really love Melon Mambo and Temping Turquoice.

Christine Geary

Just one?! Could I pick one favorite from each In Color group?!! There are so many favorites and some of them have found their way into the current color palette; yay! But if I HAVE to choose just one I choose Cool Caribbean and hope that someday it too will be a part of the ongoing color palette.

Denise S.

I have been following your blog for at least five years. I enjoy your non- Stampin' Up! stories too like the swarm of bees that tried to make a home in your yard and Jason had that cool lei made out of money when he graduated and all your flash back photos. I have tried many of your techniques that you have shared and I get quite a bit of inspiration from your blog. My favorite In Color is Gumball Green. It was so rich and bright and went well with everything.

Denise Bryant

Wow... that's a lot of pins! The only thing I can think of to display them is to make a wall hanging banner to put them on. I had one I made of black felt and hung from a decorative wooden rod.
Cool Caribbean is my favorite, and I have been following you for about 5 or 6 years I think.... I always look forward to seeing your lovely creations and your beautiful flowers!

Christine Geary

Oops! I was so consumed with deciding my all time favorite In Color I forgot to tell you that I have been following your blog for just a little over a year. I follow several stamping blogs but yours is the one I go to FIRST whenever I have time to check in to see what's new.

Tasha

My favorite color was Concord Crush!! I've been following your amazing blog for about 4 years now.
Congrats to you~ Keep up the great work!

Judy Whitaker

Rachel

Hi Patty like the cork board idea--will need to try it out. I would have to say that my favorite colors have been the ones that just were retired. Those were such a nice combo. I do like Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush-they are such refreshing colors. I have been following your blog for about 2*3 years and I have to say it has been an enjoyable journey. Thanks for all you share. Rachel

Iona Schlaupitz

I have been following your blog for about a year and a half now and my favorite In Color would be Gumball Green (Cucumber Crush is close). Congratulations Patty on your 20 years and love the cork board.

Heather

I think you should paint your cork board black so your pins pop! My favorite in color was wisteria wonder (I think that was the name) and I have been following you since November 2014.

Terina Sprague

Hm. I think blog candy is the best type of candy, well maybe! ;) Favorite in color is Strawberry Slush, I just think it's the perfect pinky color! I've been following your blog for about a year. I just discovered and became a demo in SU about a year ago.

Debra

Congratulations on 20 years - a remarkable achievement! My favorite in-colors are the ones that just retired. I'm truly in mourning over Coastal Cabana being retired. I've been following your blog a long time, probably 5 or 6 years.

Randee S

I found you about a month ago and have been following you since. My favorite color is Not Quite Navy. Cute way to display your pins. TFS

Kathy Messer

I'm rather a newbie follower, maybe 2 - 2 1/2 years now? But Christmas being my favorite time of the year, Old Olive is right up there at the top. Congratulations from the east coast!

Roxana Hill

Hello Honey is my favorite and my go-to color. I hope it makes it to the regular colors next catalog. I'd gone to your posts here and there the past couple of years, but actually following your blog and receiving your emails, only about a week and a half! So glad I caught on and now get to see your fabulous ideas every day. Congratulations on your 20 years; hope you keep on keepin' on!

Cara

20 years, YAY!

My Fav is Baked Brown Sugar, just the nicest shade of brown. Then Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush, and Crisp Canteloupe.

Love them all, they all mix so nicely, and they sound and look DELICIOUS!

I have to figure out what the little packs of paper are, didn't see them before. (And they were there for 3 years! so pathetic, lol.)

Nanci

Congratulations on 20 years of doing what you love. Thank you for sharing so many of your great ideas.

karenladd

Wow, congrats on your 20 years of inspiring and teaching crafters how to have fun!!! I have way too many In Colors to name but two favorites are Strawberry Slush and Pool Party (even though I missed out on Strawberry Slush I love the color and the name!!).

As for adding more pins to your adorable cork board display, you could add more along the inner right hand side of the number 2 so that it almost looks like shading!

Robin Chase

Dear Patty,

My favorite color has got to be Strawberry Slush. It just kinda grows on you and it's so versatile.

Thanks for sharing with us.

Tania Smith

i've been watching your youtubes and following you on facebook for a few years now. congratulations on 20 years. i'll miss most of the colors that retired but my fav out of them was strawberry slush and crisp cantaloupe.

Andrea H

I think you could double your row all the way around the "2" on your pin board so it won't look so thin next to that full 0! Hard to pick just 1 color...I really like the ones that just retired! I found your blog 2 or 3 years ago & have enjoyed it since!

Yvonne

Hi, Patty: congrats on 20 years with Stampin' Up! and thanks for the great tip on what to do with all the 'pins' one gets as a demonstrator. I've been with Stampin' Up! for 10 years and have a small collection of pins myself. I found your blog about five years ago and have been a faithful follower ever since - I love your cards, tips and videos; they are a terrific resource and inspiration! I think my most favorite In Color (other than the ones they 'brought back' during the recent Color Renovation) has got to be Coastal Cabana. I miss it so much already.
