Add a little Pizzazz to your Project with Paper Piercing
July 03, 2015
Paper Piercing... it's one of those little "extras" that can add so much to your stamped card or handcrafted project, but yet, we often forget about it!
I grabbed the Updated Essentials Paper Piercing Template, my mat and Paper Piercing tool (pg 168 in the 2015-2016 Stampin' UP! catalog) and added a circle of paper pierced holes around the punched circle on my card.. do you like it?
I think it adds just the right POP!
Isn't this You're Sublime stamp set cute!? I love it! It's on pg 45 in the new catalog!
For this sweet Thank You greeting card, I stamped the wheelbarrow image from the new Stampin' Up! "You're Sublime" stamp set (pg 45 in the new catalog or HERE online) onto Thick Whisper White cardstock, and then I colored it with my new Copic markers. I decided to give them a try and I like the results with this outline stamp set!! I punched out my image with the 2-1/2" circle punch, then put it on my Paper Piercing Mat and pierced the holes as shown in the mini-tutorial below:
The final touch was to place the punched circle onto one of the new Metallic Foil Doilies... but I didn't care for either the gold or silver one on this particular card, so I flipped it over and used the other side which is white!! eeek... clever? yes! :)
The sweet piece of butterfly paper is trimmed to 3-1/4" x 4-3/4" and is from the Pretty Petals paper stack (pg 144) and layered onto a Stampin' UP! Whisper White Note Card (pg 149). Two punched butterflies were the finishing touch on my card. All of the supplies are shown below in this post.. you can click on any item for more info or to purchase that item online!
