As you know, I'm away in Salt Lake City, UT this week at the Stampin' UP! OnStage 2016 Live event (it's the new name for "Convention"), and of course I always take swap cards with me... meeting new friends, seeing old friends and swapping with all my buddies is a highlight of the trip!

Here are some of the cards I took with me to swap TODAY!!

I used the Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake notecards as my base card. The lace is a patterned paper in the Timeless Elegance package of paper (soooo pretty!), and then I've added stamping in the background, and cut out flowers and leaves from the Picture Perfect stamp set! All the stamps on this card can be found on pages 36 and 37 in the 2016 Occasions catalog.

Some of you "joined me" on my fussy-cutting journey as I shared that on Instagram and Facebook on evening last week... here is what I was sharing as the night went on:

I stamped and hand cut (fussy cut) about 100 flowers and leaves to add to these swap cards!

Many of you commented that you felt sorry for me or that your hand was cramping just looking at all that cutting, but I truly LOVE fussy cutting and it went pretty quickly.. I was done in just over an hour!

A few special details on this card:

1/2 of a Gold Metallic Foil Doily tucked under the flowers makes this card really sparkle!
the "flourish" stamp is stamped with Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake note card for a subtle background
the "forever friends" stamp is stamped in Archival Black ink to really make this card pop
the flowers (from Picture Perfect) were stamped in Blushing Bride and Calypso Coral (I only used 2 of the 3 flower stamp images)
one flower is adhered right to the card and the other is raised with Stampin' Dimensionals
Wild Wasabi Seam Binding ribbon helps tie in the green leaves into the color scheme
the beautiful black lace paper is from the Timeless Elegance paper pack
a little hard to see, but on the very left side of the card, I also stamped a little "texture" stamp from the Timeless Textures stamp set in Crumb Cake ink
