Ombre Ink Pad Background Floral Cards
August 08, 2016
These beautiful Ombre Watercolor backgrounds might look familiar.. I shared a video with you a month or so ago with the instructions to make them (I've shared it at the end of this post as well). I made more of these beautiful backgrounds featuring the Detailed Floral Thinlit dies and decorated the cards with the Falling Flowers stamp set, also stamped with the Ombre ink pads!
After creating the ombre watercolor backgrounds, I stamped the flowers with the Ombre ink pads, die cut them, and added them to the cards. I love how the color theme carries through.
The flowers are stamped with the Falling Flowers stamp set (pg 127 Annual Stampin' UP! catalog), and the Ombre Ink pads (pg 180). The May Flowers framelits perfectly die cut the flowers!!! They are on pg 194 and you can also purchase them in a money saving bundle in wood mount or clear mount.
The green petals are also from the May Flowers Framelit dies, die cut in Emerald Envy cardstock.
I love the trio of Enamel Shapes as the flower center in each of the flowers below. You can find those on the embellishment page, #177.
For more information about creating these pretty backgrounds, please watch the video below this photo.
In case you missed it.. below is the video I created to show you how to create the Ombre Ink Pad watercolor backgrounds and how to cut the Detailed Floral Thinlit dies.

And one more sample for you featuring the Friendly Wishes stamp set greeting, die cut with the Layering Ovals framelits, and perfectly accented with the Enamel Shape heart!
