How to Quickly Color the Inside the Lines Sale-a-Bration paper
January 20, 2017
Today's secret weapon: Stampin' Spritzers!
Quickly color the 12x12 sheet of black and white "Inside the Lines" Stampin' Up! Sale-a-Bration paper to use on your crafting creations!
This unique and fun, FREE Sale a Bration "Inside the Lines" paper is amazing, and especially appealing to those who LOVE to color like me, but, if you want an alternative to hours of coloring, try this spritzing method!
I filled my Stampin' Spritzers with rubbing alcohol and drops of reinker, and spritzed the paper super quickly!! Read on for all the details:
You will find this fun paper on page 11 of the 2017 Stampin' UP! Sale-a-Bration brochure. Here is what the "Inside the Lines" (free Sale a Bration 2017) paper looks like in this package when you open it... 12 sheets of black and white printed designs:
If you want to grab your markers, colored pencils, paint brush, etc., that's a GREAT way to color the intricate designs, but if you need to color lots of this paper FAST, grab some Stampin' Spritzers, fill with rubbing alcohol (or water) and several drops of Stampin' Up! ink refill in each one, and spritz away!
As you can see below, I put my 12x12 paper in a recycled Stampin' UP! shipping box so that I wouldn't "overspray" in my craft room.
I started by spritzing most of the paper with Daffodil Delight, then added spritzes of Watermelon Wonder and Calypso Coral. It looks splotchy at first, but dries to a lovely finish.
I like to use rubbing alcohol in my spritzers so that it dries quickly, and doesn't warp like water will. Add as many or as few drops of reinker as you wish.. I do about 10 drops per filled spritzer.
Then it's easy to cut the dry 12x12 piece into whatever sizes you need for your project. I used them on 3-1/2"x5" Stampin' Up! Note Cards.
I die cut the So Detailed thinlit in So Saffron cardstock, wrapped each one around the Inside the Lines DSP piece and added it to each Note Card.
I stamped lots of thank you images in Stitched Shape die cut circles, and layered them on scalloped circles from the Layering Circles framelit pack and Calypso Coral cardstock. The amazing Stitched Shape framelits are NOW AVAILABLE AGAIN HERE in my online store!! Click here for my video to see how well the Stitched Shape framelits work with the Layering Circles framelits!
I added my favorite new accessory, the Lace Doilies, behind the scalloped circle as well.
