Valentine Glassine Goodie Bag
January 19, 2017
You know how I treasure those fun stamping days with the amazing Cindee Wilkinson and I always love to see what she comes up :) ... so, last time we stamped together, she went above and beyond and created this project that just blew me away! Check out this great Valentine goodie bag she had prepared for us to make!!! It features several of the Sending Love Suite products from the 2017 Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog, pgs 14 and 15.
We made the bag with new Stampin' UP! Sending Love Glassine sheets and the Mini Treat Bag thinlit die.
Then we added 6 layers of FUN die cuts, doilies and embellishments plus ribbon and sequins!!
Stampin' UP! Sending Love (Occasions Catalog) Supplies we used:
- Sealed with Love Stamp set, pg 15
- Love Notes Framelits, pg 14
- Sending Love paper stack, pg 15
- Sending Love Glassine Sheets, pg 14
- Sending Love embellishments, pg 15
- Real Red, Whisper White and Pool Party cardstock and ink
- Lace Doilies, pg 51
- Gold Binder Clips (annual catalog) pg 177
Using the Sealed with Love bundle stamps and dies makes it easy to create tiny love notes and envelopes as shown on the bag front!!!
You'll also want to grab your Sponge Brayer and a Stampin' Sponge and some ink... because you'll be able to change the color on your Sending Love paper and the Lace Doilies!!!
ABOVE: Check out that AMAZING TIP! Just grab your Sponge Brayer and an ink pad and roll color right on to the red and white Sending Love paper to create a whole new look!!!
AMAZING!
BELOW: a closer look at the red and white patterns in the Sending Love paper stack, available HERE in my online store.
And here is amazing tip #2... color the new Lace Doilies ANY COLOR to coordinate with your theme, holiday or color palette!!! Be gentle, they ARE doilies afterall, but just sponge by dabbing color straight up and down to add layers of color.

All of the fun elements like the die cut envelope and love note, the heart, doily, and banner were glued together then just clipped to the bag, so that the recipient can get their treat from the bag without destroying the pretty packaging.
After brayering color onto the red and white striped paper, we punched the banner end with the Banner Triple punch. We only needed 1/2 a doily, so those go twice as far!

That treat bag turned out super fun! Thanks for the tips - I wouldn't have thought to try and change the color of the red & white DSP. I'll have to try that and see what happens :)
