Sending Love Valentine Cards for the Office Guys
February 09, 2017
Valentine's Day can be special for many reasons. One of my favorite memories was exchanging Valentines with my classmates when I was a little girl, so of course I always made sure that our son Jason had special Valentines to exchange when he was in school. Now he's 25 and since I can no longer make Valentines for him to take to school, I decided to send in Valentine goodies to his office (he and my husband work at the same office). Click Here to see what I sent this year.
After I sent those goodie bags in to the office last week, my husband said the guys at the office would love to have handmade Valentine cards to give to their sweethearts, so, I made a batch and sent them in to the office. Eric and Jason were texting me throughout the day and letting me know that the guys loved them (and Nancy - office manager, too!). :)
Above: these are the Valentine cards I made and sent to the office. I used the Sending Love Paper Stack on all of the cards.. the cute red and white patterns are perfect for Valentine's day and beyond!! I also used the cute gray and white heart pattern from the A Little Foxy paper stack.
Each Valentine is embellished with either silver or gold - Sale a Bration metallic ribbon, enamel shapes, rhinestones, etc.
All of the cards also feature hearts die cut from the Stampin' Up! Sweet & Sassy heart framelit die set. The heart with the Happy Valentine's day greeting is punched with Whisper White cardstock and the Sweetheart punch. The greeting is from the January Paper Pumpkin kit.
The Valentine above features a "love" die cut from the Sunshine Wishes set of framelits. I used Clear Wink of Stella on the Real Red die cut to make it sparkle.
I incorporated the new (personal favorite!!) Lace Doilies from pg 51 of the Occasions catalog.. they are so fun - white on one side and vanilla on the other!!
I made the inside of each card fancy with the pretty heart edge framelit from the Love Notes framelit die set.
I was super excited to see that they enjoyed the cards and I hope their loved ones will too!

What a great idea to send those cards in to the office so the guys could pick one to send to their SO (significant other). Very thoughtful - and double the benefit!
Never too many dimensionals! It prevents the embellishment from getting crushed!
Thanks for sharing this great idea.
