Spring Basket card featuring Inside the Lines paper
March 11, 2017
Did you know that the adorable Stampin' Up! Basket Bunch stamp set and matching Basket Builder framelit dies don't have to be used just for Easter? I created a beautiful basket full of daffodils and spring flowers for my card share today!
I found a fun way to "color in" the Inside the Lines Sale a Bration paper from Stampin' UP! Guess what I did... I found flower and leaf shapes in my Garden in Bloom stamp set that mimicked the patterns in the paper and just stamped right over the paper! It's not an exact match, but instead an artsy way to add color to this black and white "coloring book" paper!
Remember, you cannot purchase this fun coloring book style paper, but you can get 12, 12x12 sheets free with your $50 order during Sale a Bration! Click for more info.

To fill the die cut basket, I stamped each flower in Archival Black ink onto Thick Whisper White cardstock and then colored them in with Stampin' Write markers and then went over them with a Clear Wink of Stella pen!
My suggestion for die cutting and layering the basket is to cut the back layer in a darker color or sponge it with a darker color so that it shows through the top die cut layer.. it's it cool!?
I love these happy spring colors!

Good morning Patty, OH how pretty your card is... I would have never thought another stamp set would match the DSP... Pretty clever. I love the basket of flowers. So glad you show us different ways to use stamp sets. I don't make Easter cards so I never really looked at the set. I was wondering where you found the daffodils so I just now looked at this stamp set. Thanks Patty for sharing this great idea. Have a great day.
