Sweet Treat Ice Cream Note Cards
March 22, 2017
These cute Soft Serve "Cool Treats" ice cream cone cards are making me want summertime to hurry up and get here!! Warm evenings, ice cream treats, staying light later, baseball games... ya.. sounds like a good plan!! Sounds like summer!
I created these cards using Stampin' UP! thick Whisper White Note Cards and Tasty Treats designer paper, and the coordinating Cool Treats stamp set / Frozen Treats framelit set! So easy and fun!
Get this delightful Tasty Treats Designer Paper FREE with your $50 order now through 3/31/17!! It was just added as an additional Free Sale-a-Bration choice!!!
The cone and ice cream are die cut and added to an oval Stitched Shape die cut and layered onto an Layering Ovals colored cardstock (Watermelon Wonder and Peekaboo Peach). I stamped them with a splatter image from the Gorgeous Grunge set.
The Soft Serve ice cream was die cut with Very Vanilla cardstock then stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink and sponged with Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach ink and a sponge dauber. THEN... I applied some Clear Wink of Stella and voila, CUTENESS!
Can you see the cute shimmer from the Wink of Stella pen (below) ?
Each card is decorated with 3 Enamel Shapes.. I think these are just the cutest addition to any crafty project! You can find them in 3 color families plus In Colors (and metallics) on page 177 of the current annual catalog, or check out the product photos at the bottom of this blog post to shop for them online!
I am SUPER SAD to see that Watermelon Wonder will no longer be in our current color selections very soon.. it is an "outgoing" In Color that will retire this year with the new catalog. But I am determined to play with it as long as I can, and thought it was a fun addition to Flirty Flamingo and Peekaboo Peach!
Above: I stamped the cross-hatch cone pattern onto the die cut cones.. it really adds a lot to the image!
As always, when using a punched image, stamp first, then turn your punch over and punch out your image for perfect placement. The greeting and banner are from the Birthday Bright stamp set, pg 13 of the Occasions catalog.. TRULY ONE OF THE BEST birthday sets EVER!!
Trying to decide if I should take these to the upcoming Stampin' Up! OnStage event in San Diego, or if I should send these out as Customer Thank You Cards...
