Chocolate, Vanilla or Strawberry Cake birthday cards

I recently challenged my Luv 2 Stamp Group team of Stampin' Up! demonstrators to create a project with a stamp set or product they had not used in awhile, so I grabbed the Celebrate You stamp set and created birthday cards featuring the Springtime Foils Sale-a-Bration paper for the background of my Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry cards! I had not used this set in awhile but I love it!
To create the fun backgrounds I used a Stampin' Sponge and added color to the Springtime Foil paper. From Left to Right, I used Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo. Find the Celebrate You stamp set on page 72 of the 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! annual catalog, and the candles in the Picture Perfect Birthday set, pg 5 of the Occasions catalog. You'll also find all of these products so you can make your own birthday cards, at the bottom of this blog post. After stamping the cake and the candles, I cut them out with my Paper Snips and added them to my cards. The Mini Stampin' Dimensionals are perfect behind the candles!
The ribbon on the above "chocolate cake" card is also a free Sale-a-Bration choice.. find it on pg 9 of your Sale-a-Bration brochure: Shimmery Ribbon 3 pack #147243. I stamped the chocolate cake using Early Espresso ink (ya, it's a dark chocolate cake) :)
The vanilla cake was stamped with Daffodil Delight ink, and the ribbon is from one of my past paper pumpkin kits.
Celebrate You stamp set from Stampin' UP!
The "strawberry cake" card was created using Flirty Flamingo ink for the cake and the card base. I stamped the candles in Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay ink to punch up the color a bit, and used Lemon Lime Twist striped ribbon on this card.
