Shimmery, Frosty Floral Cards
October 30, 2018
These lovely friendship cards feature the gorgeous Frosted Floral specialty paper from Stampin' Up! which has a gorgeous shimmery coating on one side of each 12x12 sheet, so I decided to shimmer some cardstock and punch out the Sprig Punch leaves to add even more sparkle to my cards!
You will find this gorgeous Frosted Floral paper HERE online and on pg 37 of your 2018 Holiday catalog, and the coordinating stamp set just above it on pg 37, or HERE online (for clear mount).
CRAFTING TIP!
Use a mixture of rubbing alcohol and Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint in your Stampin' Spritzer then spritz your cardstock. Let dry, then punch out images.. so pretty!! Haven't tried it yet? be sure to WATCH MY VIDEO HERE.
I love to keep my shimmer paint, a sponge dauber and the matching spritzer together in baggies. It saves on "search time" in the craft room .. if you know what I mean. :)

Tip Sheet from Patty Bennett
I used these Stampin' Up! colors: Blackberry Bliss, Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow.
ABOVE: can you see the pretty shimmery punched leaf sprigs and the strip of Mossy Meadow cardstock that is also shimmered? ? I love it!
I have stamped the greeting image from the Southern Serenade set and floral images from the First Frost stamp set and die cut them with the matching Frosted Bouquet framelit dies. They are available as a bundle at 10% off!!
Added Design Note: layer the stitched shape circle framelit onto a pearlized doily.. it gives such a pretty, shimmery scalloped border!
Find the Frosted Floral paper HERE online and on pg 37 of your 2018 Holiday catalog.
The top fold card base is Pear Pizzazz cardstock, cut at 4-1/4" x 11" and folded in 1/2. The 2 pieces of Frosted Floral designer paper are 4x4 and 4 x 1-1/2", with a 1/2" wide strip of shimmered Mossy Meadow cardstock in between.
You could easily replace the Mossy Meadow strip with some pretty ribbon, too!

Pretty card! But the best thing I love about your blog, is that I get so many tips and tricks. In this post I like the idea for spraying your card with shimmer paint and alcohol spray, and then how you package all of the coordinating supplies for each color of paint (dauber, spritzer and paint) all in one baggie. That will save me so much time instead of looking for each thing in a different place! Thank you!

Good morning Patty,
I am in love with this card. It is absolutely gorgeous. I love how you added the shimmery paint to your cardstock and I love the tip about keeping it all in a baggie together that's a great idea. I have a question when you use the rubbing alcohol and the shimmery paint in your spritzer should you clean it out each time or is it okay to leave it in there? I love all your tips and tricks because I have learned so much from you. Have a great day
