At our August Luv 2 Stamp Group meeting, we made some of the Make & Take projects from the Stampin' Up! Convention in July.

I used the Kraft Gift Box idea from the Convention Make & Takes to come up with this project... we added the Cherry Cobber Tulle to the box because it's so easy to tie in a gorgeous bow!!!

A little love on Valentine's Day

Just sharing a Valentine made with the "LOTS OF LOVE" LETTERPRESS PLATE and the new "BE MY VALENTINE" a la Carte Stamp on pg 43 of the Occasions Mini catalog.

 I used both the full size craft pads and craft spots in 2 colors to ink the letterpress plates.

AND.. here is how you can use the Valentine heart stamp well after Valentine's day ... just cut off the "banner" portion after you have stamped the image and cover it with a punched out image :)

Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder - please meet the Brayer!

This is a fun technique I've taught in recent  classes and workshops....

 
After you run your cardstock through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder, then ink up your brayer and roll LIGHTLY over the cardstock ... whoohooo.. what a great pattern!

The ELIZABETH a la Carte stamp that is !!

idea for this card came from: Claudia Perry

The ELIZABETH stamp is inked in the CRAFT WHISPER WHITE ink pad and stamped on Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.  I did not emboss it.. just let it dry.

The background is the Fine Flourish a al Carte stamp stamped in Cherry Cobbler.

This 3x6 card also features the Eyelet Border punch and the Oval All stamp set "best wishes" greeting.

It's embellished with the BASIC PEARLS... LOVE those!!!!!

Northern Flurry Embossing Folder Thank You card

Here is a fun, quick and easy 4x4 card perfect for all your Holiday Thank You notes!

 
This card features the NORTHERN FLURRY Embossing Folder from Stampin' Up!  (pg 26 Holiday Mini catalog, item 120902).  You run it through your Big Shot and voila.. perfectly embossed snowflakes!!  I lightly sponged over them with CRAFT WHITE INK to help them stand out a bit.

Christmas Goodie Bag

My a la Carte Stamp class featured the fun stamps on pages 18 - 20 of the Stampin' Up! catalog.. these are single stamps sold at very reasonable prices.  This Christmas goodie bag features the HOMEMADE a la Carte stamp, (Item 116978) and is decorated with 3 of the new BUILDER WHEELS on pg 35 of the Holiday Mini Catalog and the Mini Lunch Sacks.

 
The adorable Penguin comes from the TAGS ALONG set featured inside the back page of the big catalog (item 117018 / 120513).. this is the set that benefits the Ronald McDonald House charities.

A la Carte Teacup stamp - Stampin' Up! In Colors

One of the cards I designed for my recent a la Carte Stamp Class is this 3x6 card featuring the Tiny Teacup stamp on page 20 of the Stampin' Up! catalog.... have you seen the FAB a la Carte stamps on pgs 18 - 20 ?

 
When I mounted my teacup, I cut off the "HELLO" and mounted it on the side of the wood block.. that way it's easier to stamp just the teacup.

   Did you notice the 3 In Colors I used on this card?  Pear Pizzazz, Concord Crush and Poppy Parade!

Big Shot Class - project #2

This is another project we did at my Big Shot class on Saturday.

This card features an EMBOSSLIT Die found on page 215 of the Stampin' Up! Catalog. It's called "FLOWER BURST" item code 114515.  This type of die cuts and dry embosses the image all at once!! 

The technique done here is "tone on tone" so the white flowers are on a white card and give a neat illusion, don't you think?  Inspiration for this card comes from Chris Gretchen from Bartlett, IL.  Thanks Chris!!

 

This card also features one of our a la Carte Stamps (click HERE for special offer) called For You Flower, on pg 19 of the catalog.  (item code 118726). 

Lastly, this card also features another FABULOUS Big Shot die... called TASTEFUL TRIM, found on page 17 of the HOLIDAY MINI CATALOG.  Item code 120893.  I used this die for the scallop across the bottom of the card.
