So i just have to ask.. did anyone see my new blog header? I took the pumpkin photo YEARS ago and thought I'd add some MDS images to it for my November header.
Anyway... on to today's card... A Folded Paper Flower card by Vinnie for our Luv 2 Stamp Group Stamp a Rama event!
Vinnie saw this idea in our Stampin' Success magazine (it's a montly magazine exclusively for Stampin' Up! demonstrators, YOU can be one too!) :) This card idea came from my friend Kerry Schwenneker.. I met Kerry many years ago on a Stampin' Up! cruise! Anyway.. this was a winning contest entry and Vinnie used the idea for her shoebox swap project.
Step 1: punch out 7 circles with designer paper.. this will really work with almost any size circle... I think we used 1-3/8". Punch out an 8th circle with cardstock (shown in pink here) to use as your backing.
Step 2: fold the 7 DSP circles into cones as shown below
Step 3: Put adhesive (we used Snail) on the cardstock circle and start adhering the DSP folded circles onto it to form the flower petals.
Step 4: use a paper piercer and mat to poke a hole in the center and add a brad.
Step 5. Add to card!
We also used the Festive Finishes Pick a Pattern Letterpress plate (pg 21 holiday mini) with Old Olive ink to add the stripes to the card.
