Gift Card Holder for Eric's Birthday

 

 

My Sweet Hubby recently had a birthday, and one of the gifts I gave him was some gift cards to one of our favorite restaurants.. Fuddruckers!  AND, since I am a Stampin' UP! Demonstrator, of course I couldn't just give him gift cards in an envelope or a card, right?  So I made this!  It's just a Sketched Dots bag (#138316, pg 151) from Stampin' UP!, folded in 1/2 and wrapped with some designer paper and ribbon!!

 

I used a piece of birthday cake paper from the Cherry On Top paper stack (#138443, pg 144) and accented it with Night of Navy Seam Binding Ribbon (#134571, pg 159) and stamping and candy dots also in Night of Navy.  You will find ALL of the products you need to create this project at the bottom of this post.

It's so easy.. just fold a Sketched Dotted bag in 1/2, but not exactly in 1/2.. leave it a little uneven so you have 2 fun pockets to fill!

I love the pretty font on the happy birthday greeting, I stamped it using my "Tin of Cards" stamp set (#138946, pg 110).

Neutrals Paper Stack Metallic Card Set

 

These fun Metallic Foil Doilies are on sale this week {click here!}, and quantities at the great sale price of $2.80 per pack are limited, so I thought I'd share this card with you today so you have a chance to order these fun doilies!

I created these fun "top fold" cards with Basic Gray cardstock bases and patterned paper from the Neutrals paper stack and the Everyday Chic paper pack.

TIP: cut your doily in 1/2 to make them go twice as far on your crafting projects!

Aren't the doilies beautiful! They come in both Silver and Gold in the package, AND in 2 sizes!!  You will get 24 doilies in your package... and.. if you want to change the color, flip them over to the white side and sponge on them, brayer them, or color them with a marker or spritzer and you can create ANY color you want!

I paired up the doilies with the metallic papers in the Neutrals Paper stack.. so rich and pretty!!

If this design layout looks somewhat familiar, you might remember a similar layout on THIS project I posted last week.

I used the Banner Triple punch to create 1-1/2" wide banners for the card, I stamped on Whisper White cardstock with the All Boxed Up stamp set, and punched it out with the 1-3/4" circle punch and layered that onto a Basic Black circle punched out with the 2" circle punch.  Really a quick card and fun to mix and match all the patterns and colors in the Neutrals Paper Stack!

Hello There Notecard with Itty Bitty Flower Punch

 

I am a big fan of the Stampin' Up! Whisper White Note Cards.. I love them!  I love the size and the price and the fact that they are cut and scored for me and come with matching envelopes!! I created this pretty little note card featuring the Hello There Stampin' Up! Hostess set and a Project Life card!  You are going to see LOTS of samples in the coming weeks featuring Project Life cards as my stamped focal point.. I love the colors and designs and variety!! Do you love the sweet little flower punch details!?

I punched flowers using the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (pg 222, #133787) out of polka dot paper from the Brights Color Collection Paper stack (pg 185, #130134) and finished them off with a sweet Candy Dot from the Regals package (pg 208, #130932).  The background Chevron paper is from the Regals paper stack (Crushed Curry), #130139.

So I mentioned that I stamped on a Project Life Card.. Sometimes we just need that cute card for a friend for no reason at all, right?  Or maybe you want to tuck in a little Starbucks gift card with a quick note... well, this is the perfect card for that!  The Perfect Blend Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! is so dang cute and you can dress it up almost like paper dolls with a patterned paper cup wrapper, different color lid, embellishments, etc.!

You will find the Perfect Blend stamp set on pg 37 of the current Annual Stampin' Up! catalog. See below for my tip on stamping the cup wrapper on separate designer paper, then cutting them out to create all different looks on the coffee cups.

I enjoyed embellishing my cups a bit... the Hello sweet friend greeting comes from the Six-Sided Sampler (hexagon) stamp set, currently found on pg 125 of the Annual Stampin' Up! catalog. The sweet little flower is a punch called the Petite Flower Punch, available in the limited time Occasions catalog, pg 33.

You will find the enjoy sentiment in the Simply Celebrate stamp set on pg 30 in the Occasions catalog.. . I LOVE that stamp set!

The candy dot just finishes off the enjoy sentiment perfectly!

And seriously, who doesn't like festive red and white polkadots?! Too cute, right?  Those are from the Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper pack.  I embossed the background with the Honeycomb embossing folder, too.

STAMPING TIP: This is what I meant above when I said this set is kind of like "paper dolls"... you can stamp each section of the cup on different paper, cardstock, patterned paper, etc., cut them out and layer them like paper dolls!

Black and White Square Frame Flower Card

 

I love this striking Black and White frame card!  I saw a card similar to this on Pinterest, and Rita and I decided this Square Frame card would be great for our Stampin' UP! workshop, so this is one of the cards we made at her workshop.  This cute Note Card is quick and easy when you use the Square Framelits and your Big Shot from Stampin' Up!.  The Petite Petals stamps and matching punch paired up with the stem from the Simple Stems stamp set is perfect for these frames.

TIPS AND HOW TO: Place any 2 square framelit pieces on the magnetic platform and run it through the Big Shot at once and you will get a fantastic little frame!  I cut 2 layers of Designer Paper at once from the Neutrals Color Collection Paper Stack.

ADHESIVE TIP: Since these little frames are so skinny, here is a TIP for you.. place the frame on the Silicone Mat and apply your adhesive... it won't stick to the mat and will only go where you want it to go!

STAMPING TIP:   when stamping the stems from the Simple Stems stamp set:

After stamping the 3 stems, place the frame on the card (using the adhesive tip shown above), then stamp and punch out the flowers (using a scrap of Whisper White) and add them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

 Use a Stampin' Dimensionals behind each flower for a fun 3-D effect then a Black Candy Dot in the center of each flower for a great POP!

Need more Black Candy Dots? Use the Neutrals Pack and color them with a Sharpie marker!

I love flowers.. wow, SHOCKING right?  :)  I'm sure you've noticed that a LOT of my blog samples have stamped or punched paper flowers!? Right?  I hope you are not tried of them!  Because I have another flower card sample for you today!

Today's samples feature a stamp set that's been around for almost a year, and I used it for a base for these paper flower cards.  The stamp is from GIFTS OF KINDNESS, found on page 83 of the large annual Stampin' Up! catalog.  I punched out flowers and put them on top of the stamped image!

Here are the supplies I used on these cards... Gifts of Kindness stamp, and 3 flower punches: Pansy Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and the NEW Petite Petals punch (pg 33 of the Occasions catalog).

I'm not sure which one I like better... Black Candy Dots (above) or Colored Candy Dots (below)... which one do you like best?

I used the Stampin' Up! Whisper White note cards then layered a piece of Tangerine Tango Cardstock over that, and then the stamped piece of Whisper White over that.

Tangerine Tango piece: 3" x 4-1/2"

Whisper White piece: 2-3/4" x 4"

To make the flowers, I punched them out of Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper!!  You may remember that I did that before on another card here!

 Birthday Gift Packaging Label

 My Dear friend Wanda had a birthday yesterday and I sent her a little goodie packet of notepads.. I had to dress up the packaging of course...  Deco Label Framelits to the Rescue!

Featured: Deco Labels Collection Framelits #130102, found on pg 186 of the Stampin' Up! Catalog.

I layered 2 of the sizes of label framelits and then an oval punch out with one of my favorite stamps from the Chalk Talk stamp set (pg 12 Stampin' Up! Annual catalog).

The Bigger Label is die cut with some Gingham Garden designer Paper (pg 153, #129310) and the smaller Deco Label is die cut from Whisper White cardstock and stamped with my favorite flourish stamp from the Creative Elements set (pg 105).  The top layer is stamped in Basic Black and punched out with the Extra Large oval punch.

To top it all off, I added a flower from the Flower Shop set, punched with the Pansy Punch and topped off with a Black Candy Dot.  CUTENESS!!!!!

Seriously.. what do you do when you need 250 Black Candy Dots?

Answer #1: buy 25 Packs of Neutrals Candy dots and use only the black ones

or

Answer #2: Buy 3 packs and color them all black with your Sharpie Marker

 

 Although I know Stampin' Up! would have been very happy had I ordered the 25 packages, I opted to use my trusty Black Sharpie marker and color 3 packages of them black :)

For my upcoming Founder's Circle Swaps! :)

I created the background and inside using My Digital Studio, had them printed at the Stampin' Up! print service, then added ribbon and the tags, and of course the Candy Dots!
