Have you had a chance to use your Lots of Happy Card Kit yet? I LOVED coloring all these gorgeous preprinted flower designs and creating the 20 cards in this kit!! If you haven't purchased this GREAT kit yet, you'll find it on page 15 of the 2018 Stampin' UP! Occasions catalog. You will be able to make 20 cards using the supplies in this kit!
The Lots of Happy card kit is only $35 and comes complete with cards, embellishments, envelopes, a stamp set and even 4 watercolor pencils!!!!! Then, if you want a refill kit, you can order that for only $21 and make 20 more cards!!
In addition to the 4 watercolor pencils that come in this kit, I also used my set of Stampin' UP! watercolor pencils so that I could try other color combinations as shown above. I blended the watercolor pencil images with my Blender Pens. (all supplies listed at the bottom of this post.. click on any product photo to shop in my online store for your supplies)
ABOVE & BELOW: I also used some Stampin' Blends in addition to the watercolor pencils to color some of the preprinted flower images in this card kit.
Below: check out the fun envelopes that come with this kit.. all 20 envelopes have the fun black and white striped flaps inside!!
Take a close look.. can you see the vellum leaves in the cards below? They come in this kit.. already die cut.. just add them to your cards!!!
After I made most of the cards per the suggested designs, I decided to use the rest of the supplies to create 3 totally different cards.. they are shown below. I popped up the color factor, adding Berry Burst and some black and white from the Petal Passion designer paper pack!
"Love you very much" is a portion of one of the Petal Passion Memories & More cards. I just cut it out of the card and added it to this card. Berry Burst Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon adds an amazing POP of color to this card!

I am so excited to share all the details for using your Lovely Words thinlit dies with you, and I have a video tutorial for you today!! yay!! You'll find these Lovely Words thinlits in the new 2017-2018 Stampin' Up! catalog on pg 214 #143733. If you are a customer, you can order these on June 1st!!
Please Watch my Video below with all the details, 3 ideas for using these thinlits, and tips for gluing your thinlits to your project!
If you cannot view the video in an email feed, please CLICK HERE to watch it on my YouTube channel.
I used the stamp set that comes in the Soft Sayings card kit, on page 11 of the new 2017 catalog for stamping the background of the "lovely" heart card. Below are the 4 steps I used and the 4 Stampin' Up! colors I stamped with. You'll notice the are all new In Colors! (see more In Color info here)
hmmmm just noticed that Tranquil Tide got omitted from the 3rd photo .. but that's what I used :)
I used the Sweet & Sassy heart framelits to "frame" my friend die cut .. you can watch the video in this blog post to see how I did that. I love all the options when layering the Sweet & Sassy heart framelits, Layering Circles, Layering Ovals and Stitched Shape framelits all together with the heart, circle and oval in the Lovely Words thinlits!
I really like the random background that the stamping created... don't you?
I used the "To my dear friend" stamp to add some text to the "lovely" heart.. watch the video above to see exactly how I did that!
The Lovely Heart is die cut with Berry Burst cardstock, and the card base and ribbon are both Lemon Lime Twist. I "framed" the lovely heart with a Sweet & Sassy heart and also cut an additional whisper white Sweet & Sassy heart to go behind the lovely heart. If that's confusing, just watch the video to see the details :)
I really like my Hello Friend card!! I used the same to main colors (Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist).. they are so peppy and fresh together!!! I stamped the beautiful flower image from Wood Words (find it on page 159 in the new 2017 catalog) on a diagonal across the 4x4 Whisper White piece, then added the Hello Friend die cut on top. I also used the Stitched Shape framelits on this one.. watch the video above in this post for all those details.
To finish off the card, I die cut a stamped heart (also from the Wood Words set) and added a Glitter enamel dot to the heart. I added a little strip of Lemon Lime Twist paper to the edge of the folded Berry Burst card and then added Berry Burst ribbon. The new In Color ribbon is SUPERB this year!! It feels wonderful and ties knots and bows perfectly!
All of these tips are shown in the video in this blog post, you can see my tips for gluing the die cut using Fine Tip Glue, Silicone craft sheet, and a clear block :)
These Glitter Enamel dots are AMAZING!!! I love them!! So pretty and the perfect touch for any crafting project!
Click any product photo below to purchase that item on line.

Each month I create and mail out cards to the top 15 in sales in my Luv 2 Stamp group (team of demonstrators in my Stampin' UP! downline). I loved creating the October Stampin' Up! Paper Pumpkin Shaker Card kits!! What a great kit!! I also loved embellishing them with some die cut pinecones from the Pretty Pines thinlit die selection, new in the 2016 Holiday catalog from Stampin' Up! Find them on page 19 in the holiday catalog, or HERE in my online store.
Shaker cards are difficult to photograph because you can't see them "shake" :) and the window sheets have a lot of glare, but I hope you enjoy these ideas! In addition to creating the cards the way the instructions in the kit suggest, I also used Pumpkin Pie Glimmer paper, Gold Glimmer paper and Gold Foil paper behind the leaf die cut shapes, just for some fun interest!
Below, my shaker card version with Pumpkin Pie Glimmer paper behind the leaf die cut shapes.. so pretty!! I also embellished all of my Paper Pumpkin cards with pinecone die cut shapes.
After I punched out the leaf shapes on the cards, I used a sponge brayer to color them various fall colors and added them to the front of my cards.
Are you a Paper Pumpkin Subscriber? You will get a fun crafting kit in your mailbox each month when you subscribe! This kit for October created 8 shaker cards. Subscribe here, and you can purchase the refill kits for these shaker cards here!
What do you think.. isn't the glimmer paper pretty behind the shaker card cut out shapes!?
Below.. my 2 "alternate" card ideas using the Paper Pumpkin supplies and some paper from my Warmth & Cheer Paper Stack!
I added some Gold Wink of Stella to the die cut pinecones to make them a little glitzy.
