Feathers & Frost Fall Card idea

 Hello Fall!  Well, at least it's TRYING to be fall here in California... a few leaves have fallen... :)

I had fun coloring with my Stampin' Blends and the Feathers & Frost stamp set, turning the "wreath" into a fall image and adding the little birdies.

I stamped the leaf wreath with Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock die cut with the Layering Square framelits, then colored it with my fall tone Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.  The scalloped square is layered onto Calpyso Coral cardstock, then Whisper White, then Mossy Meadow and finally a Crumb Cake folded card base.

I decided to add several Gold Metallic Pearls to the card just to give it a little bling :)

I colored 4 gold pearls with my Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends markers to add to the flower center. 

The flower and leaves are also in the Feathers & Frost stamp set (pg 30 of your 2018 Holiday catalog, or HERE online).  The Hello stamp is from the Calligraphy Essentials set, stamped in Memento black ink and colored with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend marker.

Celebration / Congratulations card idea - Stampin' Blends

A couple weeks ago when I received my New Stampin' Blends markers in my Stampin' Up! order, I grabbed this Beautiful You stamp set and stamped several images to try out the new marker colors.  This is a great set to use when practicing your coloring.

 I stamped the lady image from Beautiful You with Memento Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock, then colored with my Stampin' Blends.  I used the Flirty Flamingo combo pack, the Poppy Parade combo pack and Bermuda Bay combo pack.  I matted the smaller white piece onto Flirty Flamingo cardstock.

The base card is a thick Whisper White Note Card stamped with Pool Party and the Handwritten background stamp.

As you heard in the video, all you need is a 3"x3" scrap of designer paper to put behind the die cut opening from the Window Box thinlit die.  You can cut your die cut pieces really any size you wish.. I believe mine are 3-3/4" square in these cards, then layered onto 4" square paper and then onto 4-1/4" cards.

I've speckled the cards with my Blushing Bride marker and Clear Wink of Stella pen.

Floral Affection Embossing Folder Flower Card

Embossing Folders... I love them!! When you emboss your paper in the Big Shot with this flower "Floral Affection" embossing folder, you can flip the cardstock either way, so that the outline of the flower is raised, or, so that the outline of the flower is depressed like I have shown here. 

I rounded the corners on this piece of Watermelon Wonder cardstock with the Project Life corner rounder.

The base of this card is a Whisper White Note Card and I added 2 pieces of Affectionately Yours designer paper and stamped flowers on the piece at the bottom of the card from the Love & Affection stamp set.  I also set it off with some crisp white Satin Ribbon. This ribbon retired after I made the card, but you could substitute the White Organza ribbon or the Watermelon Wonder striped ribbon referenced above.

I stamped the random flowers and the "sending a smile your way" greeting on the Watermelon Wonder embossed piece with Night of Navy ink.

This Clean and Simple Stampin' UP! card shares a different twist on using the Swirly Scribbles framelit dies.. this is a more elegant yet still playful use of the swirls, in Gold Gimmer paper, Basic Black and Melon Mambo! Such a crisp and clean card!

Stampin' Up! Rose Wonder rose cards

The Rose Garden Thinlit die is still on sale on the Weekly Deals today.. so I thought why not share these cards with you now!!  I used both the Rose Wonder stamp set, and the Rose Garden Thinlit dies from Stampin' UP!    They are available in both a bundle, or separately, and you'll find the discounted BUNDLE HERE, the stamp set HERE and the thinlit die on sale through today HERE.

Left: the card above on the left, was simply colored with Stampin' Write Markers right onto the photopolymer rubber and stamped on a white card.  I wanted simple and clean. 

Right: the card above on the right was stamped like the one on the left, then I sponged color over the rose area, and then added just the flower portion of the die cut with my Fine Tip Glue Pen.   I also fancied up the corner with the Curvy Corner Trio punch and then layered the white cardstock onto Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango.

I wanted the card above on the right to look like one of the roses in my garden, so I used Daffodil Delight ink and Calpyso Coral ink with my sponge daubers:

I guess I sort of achieved that.

Well, here is the answer.. I added the gingham ovals to Stampin' Up! notecards and embellished them with Washi Tape, and stamped/punched Flower Shop flowers!

Stampin' Up! Notecards are now a heavier weight cardstock and are really REALLY fabulous!

This fun and easy card was one of our stamp class projects in August.

Just when I tell myself there is an embellishment or accessory that I don't need, I'm always so glad that I ordered it... case in point.. the Oval Framelits... How Fun is this!?

1.  Cut an oval from the gingham print and apply to the Daffodil Delight Cardstock

2.  place a smaller oval framelit on the bigger oval and cut

voila.. you have a fun ginham oval border!
