I had a great time with some of my Luv 2 Stamp Group demonstrators when we got together the weekend after Convention and created our Make & Take projects together!

One of the projects in our packet from Convention was a set of 5 Notecards & Envelopes (#131527) with a cute Gift Bag (#131370).  I used the stamp sets and colors they suggested, but branched out a little on my own designs.

Did you notice the pretty Bermuda Bay Chevrons on the card above?

I got this idea from Patrice, who was vising from New Zealand... she punched the Chevrons in cardstock then used them as a stencil! Just sponge through the stencil and voila, fun Chevron's on your card!

WELCOME to the July 2013 Control Freaks Blog Tour!!!

We are excited to bring you 

our monthly Blog Tour one week late because we were at CONVENTION last week ... 

most of us are sharing the Convention Swaps we traded with each other last week at our annual Control Freaks Lunchtime Stampin' Up! Convention Swap!

   You have probably joined me after visiting Connie Babbert's amazing blog can click on the "next blog" link at the bottom of the post to continue on the tour.

My first card was inpsired by Jo Ann Hewins (in my Luv 2 Stamp Group) and features the SUPER POPULAR MODERN MEDLEY DESIGNER PAPER!! 

 

The flags are easy to cut.. I used a 3/4"x4" strip of paper, folded it over the Bakers Twine then snipped the ends with the Hexagon Punch. (see THIS POST for hot tip)

Designer Paper used:  Neutrals DSP stack, pg 152 & Modern Medley, pg 154

Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black Cardstock, Hexagon Punch and Early Espresso Bakers Twine also used

Here is our fearless Control Freaks Group at lunch at Convention!

My 2nd card features the Dahlia stamp in Strawberry Slush ink, and accented with Bermuda Bay cardstock, and black and white accents.

The black and white paper strip is from the DSP stack on pg 152, Neutrals stack.

The border stamp at the bottom of the card is from the Backgrounds Builders set on pg 119, #129147 or #129150.

Patty's Convention Update 5 Awards Night

I am home from the 2013 Stampin Up! Convention ... and just needed to share my excitement about the Awards Night with you!  I was beyond thrilled (like as in THRILLED TO TEARS!! excitement) over the best news of the evening... Wendy Cranford from our Luv 2 Stamp Group made it into the top 100 demonstrators of the company! 

Wendy is now a member the 2013 Founder's Circle Achievers!!

Below: It was a little crazy (read: scary) being recognized on stage for being the ONLY one in the company to earn the Achiever's Bonus 3 times last year!  One demonstrator earned it 4x and one earned it 5x.. I was honored to be recognized this way - on stage.. alone with Shelli!!!!

I was also in the top 10 of two more categories, with recognition on stage!

A HUGE thank you to my amazing and faithful customers for your support of my Stampin' Up! Business!

Just before awards night, it was exciting to see Wendy as one of the demonstrator presenters in the class titled "How I Earned the Incentive Trip" facilitated by Pam Morgan.. yay, Wendy.. you did a fantastic job, you had a fantastic year and you are AMAAAAZING!

I am so excited to share our FUN swap bags for the Stampin' Up! Convention 2013!  Cindee and I found these.. they are insulated lunch bags from the Macy's kitchen dept!!  We decorated them with Strawberry Slush ruffled ribbon, and black chevron ribbon, an MDS nametag and Cindee made cute stamped Dahlias for us!

I am so excited to share our FUN AND EXCITING times from the Stampin' Up! Convention!

We arrived in Salt Lake CIty and checked in to our hotel, then met up with dear friends for an early dinner, then off to my upline's gathering.

Here are some fun photos of all of us having a great time, swapping, eating, catching up, meeting new friends, and sharing lots of ideas with each other!

SNEAK PEEK....

LOOK WHAT I'LL BE WEARING TO CONVENTION THIS WEEK!

I attached these gorgeous new Frosted Finished snowflake embellishments to one of the Simply Adorned Bracelets Stampin' Up! used to sell.. I simply used a Jump Ring on each embellishment.. done! :)

The bracelet sold out months ago, but you can still purchase the NECKLACE on the Clearance Rack and embellish that!

Tomorrow is the Big Day... we fly off to Salt Lake City to the Stampin' Up! convention!  I have over 30 wonderful demonstrators from my Luv 2 Stamp Group attending this year and I am so excited to share these few amazing days with them!

I sent each of them a tag for their convention bag and a sparkly lanyard for their nametag.

I created the tags with My Digital Studio using a blank Swatchbook template.

Stampin' Up! is celebrating their 25th anniversary this year so it's sure to be a SUPER exciting Convention!
