Customer Challenge

Blog Candy WINNER!

Oh my goodness... 315 COMMENTS !!!  I read every single one and LOVED reading both your VERY kind comments and remembering some of the fun projects I've featured here over the last 14 months!

I randomly picked a winner, and here is what the winner had to say:

ONE favorite project? How can I choose? It is usually the last one I saw on here but this time I think it is a tie.. between the bracelet and the Bella Rose pocket album... Your pieces are always terrific and that is just product to die for! yummy!

So Jan, please email me with your address and I'll get your Pockets and Pieces kit out in the mail on Monday!!

Per your 315 comments, the #1 favorite project was the Faux Seaglass Bracelets and the Build a Brad Bracelets!

Followed closely by the following:  Sunflower card, Popsicle Card12 Pocket folder and 3 Pocket Gift Card Holder.

Then the favorites were the Bella Rose CD folder and anything made with the Bind it All.

Thank you all for your comments.. I am blessed beyond belief to have such wonderful friends in blog-land!

I just have to give a SUPER HUGE SHOUT OUT to my dear friend Sharon... many of the recent projects on my blog have come from her ideas.  Many of you have asked me for her blog... she doesn't have one, but I did make a "Sharon's Project" link on my blog HERE.  And YES, she's coming to Convention.. you can meet her there!  (Sharon.. you have a HUGE fan club!) :)

I'll be posting my Convention swaps later today! Stay tuned!

Birthday Card WINNERS!

Thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes via snail mail, via email and through ecards!! Every single wish was much appreciated.

I LOVED all of the stamped cards sent in response to THIS challenge.  It was REALLY hard to choose only 3 favorites.. MANY MANY cards really caught my eye.

Here are my top 3 favorites and I will be posting other REALLY GREAT cards tomorrow and the next day as well!

Tied for 1st place:

Pop up cards by Liz Miller (left) and Lynne Marini (right):

2nd Place.. awesome shrink plastic pot card by Sharon Howard:

DSC01162 DSC01163

UPDATE:  HOW-TO INFO on the pot from the artist!   I freehanded half the pot on regular paper folded in half, cut it out,  then traced the whole thing onto white shrink plastic (1/2 sheet for height) and cut it out.   I shrunk the plastic with the heat tool, and then concentrated the heat on the bottom area for an extra couple of seconds, stamped it with "A Little Bit of Happiness" (hostess set), then moved up to mid-way trying not to re-heat the lower section (if you heat too much, it will re melt what you've stamped - very handy when you mess up, not so good when you like what you've done) and stamped that, then did the same at the top.  I stamped it dry, I've heard that you can use Versamark as a release, but I didn't do that and don't think I'd even bother.  I wasn't sure if it would mess up the painting process.  It only needs about a minute to cool down, so I squeezed crystal e ffects onto scrap paper and added a few drops of Close to Cocoa to one side, Garden Green to another, and Pumpkin Pie to the third side and mixed (you could also do three separate puddles of crystal effects, I did the lazy way).  Then I used a paint brush and added color in each area, letting it blend and puddle into the impressions (I used the same paint brush for the same lazy reason).  It dries pretty quickly.  I added dimensionals and cuts of Kraft paper smooshed with Really Rust and Old Olive (used the guillotine style paper cutter and barely moved it over each time, allows it to curl randomly), taped those together and added those to the back with a dimensional.

3rd Place: Beautiful Kind Thought card and coordinating envelope by Karen Felix:

So they will each get a stampin' prize, and I'll be posting "runner ups" tomorrow.. stay tuned and THANK YOU AGAIN!
