Feathers & Frost Fall Card idea

 Hello Fall!  Well, at least it's TRYING to be fall here in California... a few leaves have fallen... :)

I had fun coloring with my Stampin' Blends and the Feathers & Frost stamp set, turning the "wreath" into a fall image and adding the little birdies.

  

 

I stamped the leaf wreath with Memento Black ink on Whisper White cardstock die cut with the Layering Square framelits, then colored it with my fall tone Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.  The scalloped square is layered onto Calpyso Coral cardstock, then Whisper White, then Mossy Meadow and finally a Crumb Cake folded card base. 

  

I decided to add several Gold Metallic Pearls to the card just to give it a little bling :)

 

I colored 4 gold pearls with my Poppy Parade Stampin' Blends markers to add to the flower center. 

The flower and leaves are also in the Feathers & Frost stamp set (pg 30 of your 2018 Holiday catalog, or HERE online).  The Hello stamp is from the Calligraphy Essentials set, stamped in Memento black ink and colored with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend marker.

Fall Card with Shimmery Leaves!

 Shimmery leaves - perfect for a fall card! I spritzed Stampin' Up! cardstock with Gold and Champagne Mist shimmer paint and then die cut all of these beautiful Detailed Leaves thinlits for my fall note card!

The leaves are die cut with Rich Razzleberry, Pear Pizzazz and Crushed Curry cardstock (spritzed with Shimmer Paint), and the leaves from the Falling For Leaves stamp set are stamped in the background over the printed watercolor wash.

The card background is a preprinted watercolor wash note card from the Delightfully Detailed Note Cards/envelopes package.  I love them!!  They aer so perfect when you don't want to take the extra time to watercolor the card front!!  Find them on pg 193 in your Annual catalog, or HERE in my online Stampin UP! Store.

The greeting, from the Falling for Leaves stamp set (pg 45 in the 2018 Holiday catalog) is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink onto a Whisper White die cut from the Stitched Label Framelits pack. 

I finished off the card with a little White/Silver Baker's Twine bow and several Silver Metallic Pearls!

 

 I took this project to a Luv 2 Stamp Group stamping day event over the weekend and I think everyone enjoyed creating this card!!

Watercolor Pencil Coloring on Country Home Stamp Set

 Coloring is therapy to me.. I love to color.  So I love the outline image stamps from Stampin' Up! and I tried out my Stampin' UP! Watercolor Pencils on my Country Home stamp set and love the results!!  I used a Blender Pen to soften and blend the colors on the Whisper White cardstock.

 

In addition to having fun coloring on this card, I also love the background!! I used the Tin Tile Embossing Folder found on page 43 in the 2018 Holiday catalog (same page as the Country Home stamp set, and the beautiful Country Lane designer paper). 

After embossing the Smoky Slate cardstock with the Tin Tile Embossing folder, I used a sponge dauber to add a little Gray Granite and Soft Suede ink to the raised parts.. just here and there to give it a bit of a weathered look.

 

 

After coloring the greenery/flowers and the can with the Watercolor Pencils and blending with a Blender Pen, I used a Sponge Dauber to add some Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint to the can.. I love it!

 The card base is a standard size Thick Whisper White folded card, and the tin tile embossed piece is 4" x 5-1/2".  I used a strip of Country Lane designer paper peeking out the right side, and some 3/16" braided trim on the left side of the card.   The little die cut shape was a limited time product a couple months ago and is retired, but you could easily use a die cut oval.

Fall DIY Mason Jar Idea

 

What a lovely blessing!  My team member Kurstan gave this beautiful mason jar to me and I just love the Stampin' UP! Falling For Leaves die cuts and all the beautiful detail she put in to this gift!!

Delightfully Detailed Fall Card Idea

 

I found an unlikely pairing... I had some pretty patterned Tea Room designer paper from Stampin' UP! on my desk, and these pretty pre-printed Delightfully Detailed card bases, and I paired them together for some really pretty note cards!!

 

I cut the strip of Tea Room paper to about 2" x 5-1/2" and put it on top of the printed Delightfully Detailed note card, then added die cut leaves from the Detailed Leaves thinlit dies and a greeting stamped from the Falling for Leaves stamp set.  Hey.. did you know you can save 10% by buying the stamp set and leaves dies as a bundle! :)  CLICK HERE.

 

 

My color palette is: Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss. 

I placed a Pearlized Doily behind each stitched shape circle die cut to bring a bit of attention to the greeting.

 

I made a few dozen of these for Customer Thank You cards a couple weeks ago.  I hope the recipients enjoyed them!

Fall Themed Customer Thank You Cards

 

I LOVE the Wishing you Well stamp set in the 2018 Stampin UP! Holiday catalog!  Find it on page 35, or HERE online.

I hope YOU love the fall themed thank you cards I came up with using this stamp set!

 

As you can see above, I played with a few different colors, just mixing and matching these colors:

Crushed Curry, Fresh Fig, Rich Razzleberry, Blackberry Bliss and Smoky Slate.

 

 

 

I love this Hostess set from Stampin' Up! called Warm Hearted (pictured above at left), (pg 54 in the 2018 Holiday catalog).  I used the THANKS stamp from this set in my card design.  You can purchase this set (or any hostess set) when your order or party total is over $150.  (Use Stampin' Rewards, a.k.a. hostess dollars, to purchase hostess sets or any product from the catalog).  I stamped it with Crushed Curry ink onto the patterned paper from the Country Lane designer series paper pack (pg 43 Holiday catalog, #147804). 

I also used 2 other patterns from this paper pack on my card.  The striped pattern behind the oval, and the polka dot strip, are both from the Country Lane paper pack.

I die cut Very Vanilla stitched shape ovals, and stamped the "wheat" sprigs in Crushed Curry, and the flowers in Blackberry Bliss.  I also stamped the bow in Blackberry Bliss.  I attached the oval to a Crushed Curry Scalloped Oval die cut and added that to the card. 

Cutting Dimensions:

• Base Card:  4-1/4" x 9", score at 5-1/2"
• Striped Country Lane paper: 3"x4"
• Crushed Curry Country Lane paper: 4" x 1-1/2"
• Polka dot Country Lane paper: 4" x 1/2"
• Very Vanilla (inside) 4" x 5-1/4"

 

 

So then.. the secret weapon on this card.. I spritzed the finished card with some Gold Shimmer Paint mixed into a Stampin' Spritzer with rubbing alcohol.. it's SO PRETTY in person!!  Watch the VIDEO HERE to see how to make your own shimmer mist!!

 

I also decided to try a horizontal version, and I actually used a sympathy sentiment from the Wishing You Well set. I added gold metallic pearls to this card. I think it turned out lovely.

Pillow Box with Rosette Flowers

 

I was AMAZED at how fun and easy it was to create these paper flower rosettes using the Stampin' UP! Stitched Label framelit dies!!!!  They are cut in a spiral, wrapped around a skewer, secured with hot glue then sponged with some Gold Shimmer Paint!!  SO BEAUTIFUL!

 

My talented stamping friend Cindee showed a group of us how to make these gorgeous rosettes and decorate this Pillow Box!

Below: Tips for making your own paper rosette flowers with the Stitched Label Framelit dies.

 We used 2 shapes of label dies from the framelit set, in Blackberry Bliss, Highland Heather and Mint Macaron cardstock for the rosettes. Per the graphic below, you cut them in a spiral with your paper snips, roll them around a skewer, then hot glue them.  So easy!

 

 

 To add the perfect touch of shimmer and glam to these paper flowers, just use your Sponge Dauber and Gold Shimmer paint and lightly sponge the tips of the flowers.. wow!!  It dries almost instantly and is SO gorgeous!

ABOVE: After cutting and rolling up all of the rosettes, we hot glued them to a die cut leaf.. but not just a plain leaf... We die cut a Detailed Leaves leaf with Crumb Cake cardstock, then we embossed it with the Swirls & Curls embossing folder, then I sponged on both gold and copper shimmer paint!!!

BELOW:  we added all those layers to the Pillow Box.

 

All 4 of the flower rosettes were added to the large die cut leaf, and we added a couple other die cut leaves from the Detailed Leaves framelit set, plus some Mint Macaron bakers twine tied in a bow.

Fall Leaf Pillow Box with Shimmer Paint

 

I was making some Halloween Treats, and thought, why not make some Fall Treats to hand out during the months of October and November!? 

 

 

I decorated a Stampin' UP! Pillow Box with a strip of Toil & Trouble designer paper (the pumpkin design), then die cut lots of leaves with the Detailed Leaves thinlit dies.   The Pillow Boxes are super reasonable and perfect for treats. Only $5 for a pack of 10!! click here!  The GREAT thing is... NO die cutting, folding, measuring or adhesive is required for the Pillow Boxes!! yay!

Secret #1 for making these leaves look REALLY AMAZING is some Shimmery Mist.  I mixed Stampin' UP! Bright Copper Shimmer Paint in a Stampin' Spritzer with some rubbing alcohol and sprayed the cardstock.  You can spray it prior to die cutting, or after.. it doesn't matter.

 The "enjoy" tag was created with the Takeout Treats bundle, pg 50 in the Holiday catalog.

 Secret #2 for make some amazing fall leaf die cuts is... Spray Copper Shimmer mist onto cardstock (I used Crumb Cake), then emboss it with the Corrugated Embossing Folder for amazing texture, then die cut the leaves!!  You can die cut them first, then emboss... either way works!  Or you can even spray them last.. it really doesn't matter.

 

 

Below are some of the leaves I die cut, and tied with a cute little tag with the new 3/16" Braided Linen Thread.  I punched a 1" circle out of cardstock and layered all the leaf pieces onto the circle, then added the circle to the box.  The leaves are die cut in the corrugated paper as described above, and Grapefruit Grove cardstock, shimmered with Bright Copper Shimmer Paint mist.

 

 

I started with a piece of Toil & Trouble pumpkin design paper wrapped around the box.. you can use any size.. mine was about 4" x 8".  I also added a piece of shimmered Powder Pink ruffled ribbon... when you add the copper shimmer paint to the ribbon, it gives it a fun fall look, and it's not so pink.

 

The Fall themed KitKat bars seemed like a great treat to put inside!

Fall Card ideas with Brusho, Woodland Embossing folder & Falling Leaves

 

I love Fall Leaves, and decided to go with greens, blues and yellows, since that's the color of California Fall Leaves right now :)  I used Brusho Crystal Colour to give these Stampin' UP! Falling For Leaves great, vibrant hues of color!

There are So many products and ideas in these 2 cards.. someone should really count all the fun accessories I included in these 2 cards! :)

 

 Both fall card ideas feature Very Vanilla cardstock backgrounds, die cut leaves colored with Brusho, and Copper Shimmer Paint.  I also used Tranquil Tide cardstock because I thought it went really well with the amazing leaf colors!

 I combined the Detailed Leaves thinlit dies with the Country Home stamp set.. kind of made my own "bundle" for these cards :)   The Falling for Leaves bundle (below) is also amazing, and you can see one of my cards with that bundle here.

 Directions:

1. Shake Brusho crystal colour onto watercolor paper, and spray with either water, rubbing alcohol or spray starch (I used spray starch on this piece). Let dry.
2. Die cut Falling for Leaves framelits in your Big Shot
3. Sponge with shimmer paint or add Wink of Stella for shimmer
4. Because I was using watercolor paper the little pieces in the leaf dies did not readily fall out.. I decided to leave them in.. I liked that look!

 Below:

For the background of this fall card, I embossed the Very Vanilla cardstock with the Woodland Embossing Folder then sponged Copper Shimmer Paint onto the raised portion.  It's really pretty in person!!

To compliment the copper shimmer, I also sponged it around the die cut Stitched Shape circle, and added a copper leaf trinket to the card... PLUS, I sued the Tea Room copper edged ribbon... wow!!

The Happy Harvest Blessing greeting is from the Country Home stamp set.

For the 2nd fall card idea, I used a piece of the new chicken wire from pg 43 in the 2018 Stampin' UP! Holiday catalog, and sponged it with Copper Shimmer paint.. ok, seriously!? This is so cool!!

Below:  I layered the chicken wire piece onto a Very Vanilla panel that was embossed with embossing paste and the brick "Pattern Party Decorative Mask".  You can find ALL of these paper crafting supplies in my online Stampin' Up! store, and also at the bottom of this post.  My online store is open 24/7 for your shopping convenience :)

The finishing touch on this card was a piece of the 3/16" Braided Linen Trim, pg 43 in the Holiday catalog.  I realized I could have also used Copper trim, but this was also a very pretty choice.   The thankful stamped greeting is from the Country Home stamp set.

Country Home & Tin Tile Embossing Folder card

 

I'm so excited to share this lovely Country Home card with you today!  I used the Stampin' UP! Country Home stamp set, the Country Lane designer paper, the Tin Tile embossing folder, gold shimmer paint and some Stampin' Blends to create this card.  You'll find most of those supplies on page 43 in your 2018 Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog and all of them at the bottom of this post - order directly in my online store anytime.

 This entire suite is amazing, versatile, and so much fun for anyone who likes to color (like ME!).  I used my Stampin' Blends markers to color the milk jug and the floral arrangement. 

I added a 1" wide strip of Silver Foil paper embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing folder to the left side of the card, and then tied it all up with some "Tea Room" ribbon from page 201 in the annual catalog. 

I used 2 prints from the Country Lane paper pack on my card.

Don't forget the Gold Shimmer paint and a sponge dauber.. I added some to the milk jug to help give it that little shimmer like real metal.  Find 4 new Shimmer Paints on page 38 in the 2018 Holiday Catalog.

 

 I made this card with Cindee at her house last month and below is my 2nd version, too.  I used the other floral stamp in the set in the same milk jug, and colored it with some brighter colors.

Fall Watercolor Card Idea

 You are in for a treat today!  Look at this gorgeous fall pumpkin card featuring a watercolor background and the Pick a Pumpkin bundle from pg 51 of the 2017 Holiday catalog from Stampin' Up!

 

 

I created this card while stamping one day with Cindee.. she had the design all worked out and all the pumpkin pieces die cut!! We did a watercolor wash on the background with an Aquapainter and Fresh Fig ink on watercolor paper, then layered all the stamped and die cut pumpkins, leaves, swirls and branches.  How amazing is this card!?

2 details that really make the card outstanding are using Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up various layers of the die cut pumpkins, and also speckling the card while the background was still a little wet by flicking the tip of the Fresh Fig marker onto the background.

Perfect Thanksgiving Hostess Gift Idea

 

We're so excited because my sister-in-law invited us to her home for Thanksgiving again this year.. we love and appreciate her hospitality!  I think this will make a sweet hostess gift to take to her!!  I used the Stampin' UP! Painted Harvest stamp set to stamp the sunflower image, leaves and thankful greeting, and the Gourd Goodness stamp set to stamp the pumpkins.

This jar is actually a candle holder jar from Michaels (see THIS post), but I took the candle holder part out, and filled the jar with candy, and then covered the hole in the lid with the stamped sunflower on the punched out circle!

 

 

To take out the candle holder portion, I just wiggled the piece back and forth and it eventually broke the weld.  Easy.

I tied it up with the 3/8" Crushed Curry Mini Chevron ribbon.

The pumpkins are stamped with Peekaboo peach and Pumpkin Pie ink. I love the photo-realistic images in this Gourd Goodness set.  I used Stampin' Dimensionals to add them to a die cut Stitched Shape Whisper White oval piece. I stamped the greeting from Painted Harvest in Cajun Craze ink.

 The leaves are stamped and punched using the stamps in the Painted Harvest bundle - SAVE 10% when you buy the bundle including the stamp set and leaf punch! See the bottom of this post for all shopping info!

Painted Harvest Sunflower Eclipse Card

 

These "eclipse cards" are all the rage in the Stampin' Up! world right now.. you may have seen them online.  My upline, Sandy Hancock, made this eclipse card for me and sent it to me with a nice note inside! I love it!  She stamped it with the Painted Harvest Sunflower image and used the Large Letter Framelit dies to die cut PATTY.

 

 

I'll be honest.. I would not call this an "eclipse card" like everyone is calling it.. I'd call it a shadow card.. but that's ok, and whatever you want to call it, it is beautiful!!

 

 

These eclipse cards are not difficult to make, but the outcome is amazing!

1.  stamp the background of your card (Painted Harvest Sunflower used here)

2.  place your background in the Big Shot and position your Large Letter Framelit dies on the stamped background, die cut.

3.  adhere the stamped background to your card base

4.  put Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of each letter, and reposition each letter over the die cut opening.  (Mini Stampin' dimensionals come in VERY handy here!)

that's it!  easy-peasy and SOOOOOO stunning!

I have a lovely Fall Leaf card to share with you today!!  Grab your glossy paper and reinkers and get ready to make one with the Seasonal Layers leaf framelits from Stampin' UP!

 

 The background of this card is created by sponging Crushed Curry ink onto Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, then dropping drops of water from the Aquapainter to create the water circle marks. We also splattered Wink of Stella onto the Very Vanilla.  (The card base is also Thick Very Vanilla cardstock).

Cindee taught me how to make this lovely card and how to create these AMAZING leaves!!  You can see her blog post HERE.

 

 

The leaves are created by die cutting the shapes from Glossy paper using the Seasonal Layers framelits, then spritzing them with the Stampin' Spritzer with water, and then dropping drops of reinker onto them.  Once dry they are gorgeous!  As you can see we also dipped a few in versamark ink and added some gold embossing powder then heating with our heat tool!  WOW!!  As you can see below, you might want to do the spritzing and ink drops on a paper towel.

 

 

I cannot tell you how fun it is to watch the ink spread and mix and to see the different outcome of each leaf!!

Final touches:  Linen thread wrapped around the card front and tied in a bow, and Glitter enamel dots!  Greeting stamped in Soft Suede from the So Many Shells stamp set.
