Founder's Circle Farewell Dinner
September 23, 2008
Stampin' Up! does everything in such a grand and creative way... We did not know where we were headed for our Founder's Circle farewell dinner on Sat. night, but we knew it would be wonderful! We piled into 3 buses from the Marriott and drove about 20 minutes to a country club (but remember.. we are in the dessert... think red rocks and cactus)... and Stampin' Up! had outdone themselves with an outdoor theater set up for us to watch a movie under the stars!!!! We also had pizza, salad, tons of candy snacks, popcorn and soda!!
You can see the big screen set up in the center of the photo and the rows of chairs:
beautiful club house.. I think I want our backyard to look like this... LOL
This is where we took a group photo:
and here is an Advisory Board Group photo (me on the left):
After the group photos we went to the theater area and found that Stampin' Up! had given us each a cozy pink blanket as a gift!!
Here was Ruth's reaction upon seeing the blankets!
I sat with Missy, Rebecca and Ruth:
I'd never had shrimp alfredo pizza before.. YUMMMMMY!
OH ya.. the movie was "No Reservations"... it was a really fun movie to watch with girlfriends!
As you read this.. I'll be having Advisory Board meetings at Stampin' Up! in Riverton, UT. When I get home, I'll share more from the trip and our wonderful Holiday Swaps that we got at the Retreat.
have a great stampin' day!

Here is Dawn, Ruth and I doing our M&T's:
Here are 2 of the fun projects we made with our new set:
Debbie and I thought we'd be twins for the day..
Shelli was working on her swaps and posing for photos..
Oh and the food.. not sure about you... but my lunch at home each day normally does NOT look like this...
yep.. that was one of our LUNCHES!
Tune in next time for photos from our farewell dinner on Sat. night.. oh my gosh.. Stampin' Up! goes over the top for us!
Our Visit to Stampin' Up!, Kanab, UT
September 21, 2008
The highlight of our Founder's Circle trip here in Southern Utah was to visit the Stampin' Up! manufacturing facility in Kanab, UT, about 2 hours from here (St. George). On Friday, the Founder's Circle members boarded lovely busses and had a super fun bus ride to Kanab. (they supplied us with endless snacks and bottled water and games to play and interaction with Shelli and the SU! staff!).
When we arrived in Kanab, we got off the bus at the SU! facility:
Once inside, I thought I'd apply for the receptionist position....
Here I am with my friend Stella in the lobby:
We took photos in Shelli's apartment, which is upstairs in this facility... I'll blog those later..
During our tour of the plant, we saw how the Stampin' Up! rubber stamps are made, from raw rolls of rubber, to putting all the pieces in the plastic container and putting it on the truck to Riverton for distribution... it was absolutely FASCINATING and so educational. I love that show "How It's Made"... this was like being in our own "How It's Made" show! We got to die cut some rubber stamp sets, and we got to package them up too!! It was soooooooooooo fun! No photos allowed.. so you'll have to close your eyes and imagine.
After a few hours at the manufacturing facility, we got on the bus for a short ride to a lovely park where Stampin' Up! treated us to custom made Subway Sandwich lunches:
THEN... this is so cool... we walked out onto the play structure area where Stampin' Up! donates crushed up defective or excess rubber to cushion the area under the structure.. it is the softest bounciest surface you will ever walk on!
Nancy said she got a pedicure just for this photo.. so I took the photo of her feet!
Isn't the colorful rubber just too cool?
Sometimes I have to pinch myself.. I still can't believe I'm on the Advisory Board.. here I am with my fellow AB members (I'm in the center, peeking through the ladder):
Here is some of the gorgeous scenery surrounding the park:
We rode the bus back to St. George and in our rooms, waiting for us where these gorgeous personalized necklackes! They are FAB!!!
That pretty much wraps up Friday... I'll be blogging about our Saturday adventures soon.
The staff has been amazing here at the Marriott and of course the SU! staff outdid themselves! What an amazing trip this has been!
Sweets & Treats from Founder's Circle!
September 20, 2008
Wow.. what an experience this has been at the Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle Retreat! Stampin' Up! has been spoiling us with free time to network with the top demonstrators in the country, free meals, free rides to malls and attractions around town, lots of free gifts, and did I mention all the CANDY?!
In the Gathering Room, there are several stations and tables with all these jars of candy, and cute little silver buckets for us to fill up whenever we want! OH my gosh! This is me (Left) and fellow Advisory Board member and new friend, Aly.
More of the fun candy jars, and OH my goodness... the LOVLIEST flowers ALL OVER this hotel!!
Here are some of the gorgeous couches and lounge areas they have set up for us to relax and network:
Thursday night as we gathered for our PJ party and swap and business share, they gave us this GORGEOUS pen and notepad, so we'd be prepared to take notes:
Here we are in the hallway in our PJ's swapping our holiday cards:
Here I am with some of my friends just before the business share started (yes, all in our PJ's)
Upon returning to our rooms, we each had a pink leather wallet on our pillow.. to go with our pink leather Founder's Circle bag!!!
Can you believe how much we are spoiled by Stampin' Up!? Wow.. it's amazing..
more to come.. tune in later,
Hello from St, George, UT
September 18, 2008
Whew.. I made it.. I'm at the Founder's Circle Retreat in St. George, Utah! This is a special trip for the top achievers in Stampin' Up! I flew into Vegas and took a limo/van with 4 other demonstrators to St. George.. a 2+ hour ride (longer if you count the time the driver spent driving around St. George looking for the Marriott!) :) We arrived kind of late... at 7pm just in time for dinner to be served.. my sweet friend Ruth saved me a seat...
Left: Robin, Right: Ruth
Look at our YUMMY dessert last night!
After dinner, I got to go to my room for the first time (since we arrived late) and look what was on my door:
all of the doors have these on them.. they are beautiful!
Then, I walked into the room.. very nice..
and hanging in the bathroom...
isn't that the cutest cosmetics bag??? BUT WAIT... look what was inside...
I know... a NEW SET!! plus 3 ink pads and my favorite new ribbon Chocolate Chip double stitched ribbon!! Wahoo! I missed the announcments last night but this is probably for our make and takes today!
Last night we also got this set after we completed an ice breaker where we had to meet 4 other demonstrators who each had a different piece to this set:
So.. now I'm off to meet Ruth in the lobby for breakfast, then shopping.. such a demanding schedule! LOL :) Have a great day!
