Founder's Circle 2010 Make & Takes - NEW Stamp Set and NEW punch!

We had the best time last week in St. George, Utah with the Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle Achievers!!! WOW!!!  But I had to come home and sleep 10 hours just to catch up !!!  I never sleep that long, but it tells you how busy I was having fun with friends last week and NOT getting sleep :)

I wanted to share the projects we made while we were there.. Stampin' Up! gave us the CUTEST "take out" box filled with stampin' supplies on our first night and then we picked up our paper supplies the next day.... here are the projects we made:

 

I am not allowed to show you the actual new stamp set or punch.... but I think you can get the idea from the projects we made.....need I even say the new set and punch are STINKIN' CUTE!!!??? (they'll be in the Occasions Mini catalog!)

Founder's Circle 2010 Swap Night FUN

Remember  I posted my Founder's Circle swap a few days ago?  The other night we had such a fun evening swapping and visiting at our Swap Night.. it was a really fun night! The Stampin' Up! Staff sure knows how to put on a fun event!!!

This annual event is a "come in your PJ's" evening event...

 

As we entered the room they handed us a popcorn box.... but it was heavy... so I knew it couldn't be popcorn... inside was a gorgeous notebook and pen!

 

 

they had popcorn machines and soda set up at 2 places in the room for snacks...

Founder's Circle 2010 - Regional Seminar

How lucky are we.., not only are we spoiled here all week by Stampin' Up! at our Founder's Circle trip... but they put on a 1/2 day Regional Seminar here in St. George just for us Founder's Circle achievers!!!

Founder's Circle 2010 Swap card - Patty Bennett

Tonight is our big swap at Founder's Circle!  We were asked by Stampin' Up! to bring 135 swaps!! That's a lot of cards! :) 

I made the top 1/2 of my card using MY DIGITAL STUDIO and used "real" Night Owl Designer Paper on the bottom portion (see pg 9 holiday mini catalog, item #123012), then tied it with Stampin' Up! Basic Black Satin Ribbon and layered it onto Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black Cardstock.

I've had lots of questions about the "witch hat" I made in MDS ... here is a tutorial for you .. these are the pieces I used in MDS and layered them all one on top of the next.

I stamped Spooky and punched it out with the Modern Label punch (pg 202, item #119849) and layered that onto a Scallop Oval punch out (pg 201, item #119856). I added a punched Bat to the top portion of the card too (pg 201, item #119279).

 

to make my Basic Black cardstock all shimmery, I sprayed it with a mixture of Frost White Shimmer paint (pg 195, item #116854) mixed with rubbing alcohol in a spritzer bottle.  Pretty.. don't you think!?  Order all your supplies ONLINE HERE anytime!

Founder's Circle 2010 - Day 1

Wow... I've already taken 125 photos today... but you'd be a bit bored with all that.. so.. here are a few of my favorites that tell the story of day 1 at the Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle event in St. George, UT.

I flew from Oakland (CA) to Vegas and this was the cool sight of part of the strip as we were about to land in Vegas...

 
Stampin' Up! employees are always there to meet us in the baggage area, and 5 of us who were ready to go took a shuttle for the 90 minute ride to St. George.

when we arrived at the hotel, there was a lovely buffet lunch waiting for us and this was the yummy dessert.... way cool!

We did some fun ice breakers and got cool gifts and fun snacks in the afternoon.. I'll blog about that later.

But.. below are photos from our Day 1 dinner... the Stampin' Up! staff did such a neat job of decorating with the Sock Hop theme!!!

They assigned us groups/tables and I was with "The Accents".. do you love our cool old LP covers?

And too fun... we got ULTRA COOL cat eye glassses!!  (yes, the same kind I had from age 3 to age 8).  I was so lucky to be at the same table as my upline, Sandy Hancock... too fun to visit with her for the evening!

then back in my room.... no, this isn't more food.. this is a gift!

 these are the supplies for our Make & Take projects.. we got a new stamp set and a new punch.. but I don't think I can show them to you ... I'll verify that later and show them if I can.

Founder's Circle Trip 2010 - Here I Come!

Today I am off to St. George, Utah, to be with the members of the Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle Group!  Whohooo!!  I am so blessed and honored to be a part of this group! (see story here). This is an annual trip to reward the top 100 demonstrators in the US and top demos in Canada and the Rising Stars in the company.  Stampin' Up! treats us to 4+ days of fun, food, friends, stamping, treats, and a trip to the Kanab manufacturing facility to see where Stampin' Up! Stampin' Up! Convention - random ramblings from Awards Night..

Stampin' Up! does an amazing job making their demonstrators feel loved and appreciated!!  There are awards, prizes, marches on stage, flowers, gifts, ... you name it.. they sure know how to spoil us!  At Convention 2010 last week, I was recognized for ...

• #5 in Demonstrator of the Year out of all the demonstrators in the US!
• I placed 8th in the company with 13 Sr. Associate promotions in my 1st level Luv 2 Stamp Group
• I recruited 16 demonstrators into my 1st level of the Luv 2 Stamp Group
• Celebrated being in the Stampin' Up! business for 15 years!
• Surpassing the $400,000 mark in career sales!
• Selling over $60,000 in the last fiscal year!
• Earning the upcoming 2011 Incentive Trip to Alaska! All expenses paid for TWO people!

Being in the top 100 "Demonstrator of the Year" category in Stampin' Up!, means I am in the Founder's Circle and get to go on a four day, all expenses paid trip to beautiful St. George, Utah with the top 100 demonstrators in the entire country!  I have been on this trip twice before and it is so much fun to hang out with my Stamping buddies and relax, eat, talk, swap, share tips and ideas, stamp, eat, relax, visit the Stampin' Up! manufacturing facility in Kanab, relax, eat, oh .. ya..  I mentioned that part :)

Demonstrator of the Year status is determined by a combination of factors from the previous year: personal sales, personal recruiting, personal promotions, and promotions and sales of the demonstrators in the first level of your group.  I was beyond AMAZED and honored to have ranked 5th in the company.. that was a total surprise and was made even better by having my husband and son in attendance at the Awards Night ceremony!!! Bless them for driving all the way from the San Francisco area to be with me!!! 

As they called up the top 100 in groups of 10, starting from #100, I fully expected to be called WAY before #10 .. but when they got to #11 and I knew I was in the top 10, this was my reaction.. I could NOT believe it! Look at Stella's face (next to me).. she is so shocked too.... I still get butterflies thinking of that moment!

Stampin' Up! Convention highlights - Founders Circle

Greetings from Utah!  I am at our annual Stampin' Up! convention and wanted to report in about my visit to the Awards booth with my friend Ruth....  we went to the Awards booth together on the first day to receive our free stamping sets as rewards for our recruiting and sales efforts, and we were both awarded with a Founders Circle bag, which means we placed somewhere in the top 100 of the company!!!

It was so exciting to receive a bag and know that we would be going on the Founder's Circle trip together this fall!  Here is a close-up of the lovely bag...

So, as I am typing this... we are awaiting the Awards Night ceremony tonight.. I'll come back and finish up this post with a report on how it went... can you believe my dear hubby and son are driving up here from CA just to be with me on Awards Night!?  Oh my gosh.. amazing!

OH MY GOODNESS>>>  I am AMAZED and still in shock.. just got back fromthe Awards Night as I am typing this on Thursday night...  I placed #8 in the company in the number of 1st level demonstrator Sr. Associate Promotions, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand the HUGE SHOCK was that I placed #5 in the ENTIRE COMPANY for Demonstrator of the year !!!!!

Here are the TOP 10 DEMONSTRATORS OF THE YEAR, and I am right in the middle at #5 !!!

Can you believe my DEAR sweet husband and son DROVE ALL THE WAY UP FROM San Francisco to be here tonight!!!???  It was such a thrill to share this evening with them!!!  Thank you guys LOVE YOU! :)

And here I am with roommate and dear friend Stella, and LONG time DEAR sweet friend Jan Wakeland.. they both have big news too, but I'll let them share that on their blogs..  love you sweet friends!
