I received this lovely card from Saundra and asked her for the instructions, so that I could recreate her card.. I thought it was too pretty to keep to myself, so I made a video tutorial for you!

Embossed Resist instructions for Saundra's card:

1. add sponged color to Very Vanilla Cardstock

2. (I used embossing buddy after the ink was dry)

3. stamp Magificent Maple stamp in Versamark ink over sponged cardstock

4. sprinkle clear embossing powder over cardstock

5. heat emboss

6.  Brayer Early Espresso ink over entire card front

7. wipe off all excess ink with kleenex or paper towel

I have thoroughly enjoyed using the Thankful Tablescape kit

from Stampin' Up! to make cards this fall!

The die cut leaves that come in the kit have a bit of a pattern but I wanted to really change them up.

I put them in the Pretty Prints embossing folder and ran them through the Big Shot, then sponged them with 4 different colors of ink: Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive and Cajun Craze.

I made "file folder cards" using the Envelope Punch Board and the printed paper that comes in the Thankful Tablescape kit. I added some ribbon I had on hand, and die cut "bark" textured paper from the kit also.

I know that burlap is super trendy right now...  and to be honest, it's not my favorite thing in the world... but I decided I needed to give it a try and start using it since it's been in the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog for months now... and here is what I came up with ...

CUSTOM COLOR the Burlap Ribbon!  Why not?

I just sponged some Cajun Craze ink on the burlap ribbon and wow.. is that too fun?

I found that if I spritzed the ribbon just a bit with either water or rubbing alcohol, then the sponged ink went on easier and a little darker.

And what was my DOLLAR STORE SCORE you ask?

I got all the pumpkins and decor to fill this large basket for only $5 at the Dollar Store!

Who knew, right?  Yay for the dollar store!

I die cut some leaves from the Autumn Accents Big Shot die (pg 192, #127812) with the Champagne Glimmer paper from Stampin' Up! (pg156, #127885) to add to the bow decoration.

Seems like most of the "kids" in our extended families have grown up and enjoy gift cards more than a wrapped gift at the holidays, so I like to find a fun way to present the gift cards.

You could use these to give cash or a special little note, too.

Check out this cute idea that Cindee shared with me!

Cut 2 Envelope Liner shapes with the Envelope LIner Framelits and your Big Shot from Stampin' Up!, and seal them together on the sides and bottom with your choice of adhesive!  I folded down the flap of the front liner, and either tucked it inside or left it outside, depending on how many patterns I wanted going on.

This is the project I shared yesterday for everyone to make at our Luv 2 Stamp Group Stamp A Rama event.

I made all of them out of the Season of Style Designer Paper from Stampin' Up! (on pg 23 of the Holiday Catalog).

You can "gussy them up" as my cute grandmother used to say, or make them kind of plain.

Do you remember when I shared some Fall Thank You cards with you from the

Well, I still had a TON of goodies left over from that kit, so, I created MORE cards!

This time, I was eager to use the little black banners that come in the kit... they are like a chalkboard!  I used the WHITE STAZ ON ink pad to really get this great Chalkboard look!

You know how trendy anything "chalkboard" is right now, right? So, I wanted to give this a try!

  I really love all the patterns and colors in this kit... don't you?

 I did stamp the leaves from Gently Falling in Crushed Curry, Early Espresso and Pumpkin Pie for a little added color.

I am so very grateful for sooooooooooo many things, and one of them is all of my amazing Stampin' Up! Customers!  I am sharing 2 projects with you today that I've made for my Stampin' Up! customers.

I'm super excited about this first project.. I just made these this week.  I designed images in My Digital Studio and then printed them on my HP Color Laser Printer onto our Tag a Bag chevron bags!!!

I added Washi Tape, a button and a burlap bow to decorate the bag.

These will be filled with little thank you goodies for my customers this fall.

Patty's 2nd Gratitude project:

This is one of the Customer Thank You cards I made for my dear customers this month:

I used a background that I created and printed from My Digital Studio, then stamped the Magificent Maple leaf in 3 colors, stamped A Million & One Thanks in Early Espresso ink, and then tied the orange ribbon around the card.

Need a fun Halloween Party Favor or Treat?

How about this fun candy pouch created from the Stampin' Up! Build a Banner kit!?

Do you like it?  You can make your own... I've got instructions for you below, and you will need to order the Build a Banner kit on pg 31 of the Holiday Catalog.  You can either make banners with the kit or you could create 18 of these cute pouches!

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Use Painters Tape to affix your canvas banner piece to your work surface

2.  Use Painters Tape to affix the chevron stencil (in your banner kit) over the banner

3.  Use Sponge Daubers to apply ink over the stencil onto the Banner

4. Cut a cardstock piece to match your banner shape, and apply Sticky Strip as shown

5. Adhere the banner to the piece of cardstock

6.  Add ribbon of your choice in the grommets

7.  add candy and make someone smile when you give it away!

 

I'll admit it... I WAS going to sew the 2 layers together... after 30 minutes of trying to thread the  needle on my little craft sewing machine (that I've never used), I finally asked hubby for help (He has better eye than I do)... ok, we got the needle threaded... I did one practice seam on a scratch paper and the needle came unthreaded.... UGH.. so I gave up and drew the stitching lines on the banner canvas and sticky stripped the 2 pieces together! :)

 I filled a 6x8 cello bag with candy and tied it up with lots of fun Chevron ribbons, then put it in the pouch.

Cut out a Top Note Big Shot die shape and cut it in 1/4ths, then punch out a 1/2 circle with the 1-1/4" circle punch as shown above and on the video.

Emboss the background with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder.

Finish off the card with a Pretty Presents Desginer tag and stamped image.

Have you tried out the Envelope Liner framelits from Stampin' Up!?

I tried them with the new Paper Stacks from the Holiday Catalog and found it was a quick and economical way to make liners for my Stampin' Up! envelopes!

When you use the Paper stack, the paper doesn't quite fill the entire envelope liner all the way to the bottom.. but hey... nobody sees that part.. it's tucked way inside the envelope.. so why not save a few pennies, right? :)
