I wanted to try out Gwen's idea for the Mica Flakes and the battery operated candles... wow.. so fun!!  I know I am really not very far in Christmas decorating yet, but I put a few things on the mantle and wanted to use these little battery operated candles in a jar with the Mica Flakes like Gwen did. 

I got these little red star battery operated candles at a discount store .. i think they were 6 for $3 .. what a deal!

Don't the Mica Flakes just SPARKLE with the light from the battery operated candle?!!??

I postponed the 25 & Counting Advent calendar class from last weekend until tomorrow.. but I'm looking forward to getting together with everyone on Saturday to make this fun 12x12 calendar!

You can "peek inside" several of the squares because I used the amazing new Peekaboo Frames die (#124587) with the Big Shot from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog (click here to order).

I loosly based my design on the calendar featured  on page 36 of the Stampin' Up! HOliday mini catalog.

One difference is that I decided to print out the images in My Digital Studio so that the class would go a little quicker.  Here is the page my students will receive:

 

The version in the Stampin' Up! catalog uses the 25 & Counting stamp set on pg 37 of the Holiday mini catalog. I used the My Digital Studio version of this set.

Each student will punch out the 34 images with the following punches and add them to the calendar:

• 1” square punch
• 1” circle punch
• 1-1/4” square punch
• 1-1/4” circle punch
• Curly Label punch
• Scallop Square punch
• Scallop circle punch

These Medallions (or "lollies" as some people are calling them) are very dimensional.. especially when layered on top of one another...

Here is our last card from my Stamp A Stack class featuring My Digital Studio Hybrid Cards.

As you can see... this one was all about some GLITZ AND GLIMMER!

Not only did we add the FABULOUS Silver Glimmer paper (#124005) from Stampin' UP! (Holiday Mini catalog, pg 41), but we also added Dazzling Details glitter glue  (#124117) to the snowy areas on the card.  Trust me.. this one is SUPER pretty in person!

I printed the house and trees from the Christmas Lodge MDS download (#125611) and added some trees from the Lovely as a Tree download (#125779), then class attendees added the torn strip of Silver Glimmer Paper, and a torn white strip and stamped the greeting from Christmas Lodge, then deocrated a paper for the inside and their envelopes with the stamp set as well.

I purchased the PICK YOUR POISON QUICK ACCENTS from page 9 of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini catalog... here is what they look like when you buy the pack of two 12x12 sheets:

BUT.. I decided I really needed Thank You notes to send to my customers so I turned all of the Halloween die cuts into Thank You Die cuts!!!

and here is what I made!!...

I made about 18 Thank You cards using those die cuts and the decorative strips that come in the package.  I only needed 9 sheets of Sahara Sand cardstock and a couple of 1/2 sheets from the Mocha Morning DSP pack.  I added some pieces of rbbon and brads to a few of them.

Gently Falling Stamp a Stack class cards

I seriously think this is one GORGEOUS leaf set!!  GENTLY FALLING is on page 16 in the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini catalog, or you can view it online here.  When paired up with the new Spice Cake Designer paper (pg 19 Holiday Mini catalog), this is a real winning combo!!!

We stamped these cards in my Stamp A Stack class last month.

We used the "rock n roll" technique... the solid leaf images were inked in More Mustard first, then "rolled" around the edges in the Cajun Craze ink pad, then stamped.. Then the matching outline image was stamped in Early Espresso over the solid image.

I love this embellisment idea.. punch out designer paper with the 1-1/4" circle punch and adhere it to the center of the new Spice Cake Designer buttons! (pg 18 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini catalog or ONLINE HERE)
