Luv 2 Stamp Group Falling in Love projects blog hop part 3

My 3rd project featuring the Falling in Love suite of products is this fun card with a cut-away edge.  I stamped the flower image from the So in Love stamp set (pg 52 Occasions catalog) directly onto the Falling in Love printed designer paper, and then cut away the edge of the paper.  You can see how easy it is to do by watching the VIDEO below in this blog post.

 

I find it so amazing how the flowers look watercolored, but all I did was stamp them on the Falling in Love paper with black ink!

As I mentioned in the video, I used up little scraps and the Stitched Shape Framelits and Layering Circle framelits to die cut pieces for the So In Love sentiment.   I also added the gorgeous sparkly Falling in Love embellishment to this card and tied the Vanilla ribbon around it.  I love the soft feel of this card.

Luv 2 Stamp Group Falling in Love projects blog hop part 2

 

Welcome back to another Luv 2 Stamp Group Occasions Catalog Blog Hop! Be sure to visit all of the blogs listed at the bottom of this post to see more great ideas featuring 4 Suites of products in the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog!

Today's Bride and Groom gift bad idea features the Stampin' Up! Falling in Love designer paper from the 2017 Occasions catalog (page 51).  This was one of the projects that I demonstrated at our Saturday Luv 2 Stamp Group online event.  We have a great time at our online events!!  :)

 

 

On Saturday, I shared THIS CARD and showed how to cut out the Sweet & Sassy heart from the Falling in Love paper for that card and then use the left over heart on this adorable bag!!  This bag fits a regular medium size envelope and makes the perfect way to give a card, money or gift card to the Bride & Groom at a wedding!! 

 

 

The fun notable design feature of this project is layering the new vanilla Lace Doily on top of the Gold Metallic doily!  I love the beautiful soft look this provides to the project! I stamped right onto the die cut heart and then layered the heart onto the doilies.  The stamped images are found in the Falling for You stamp set on pg 51 in the Occasions catalog.

Pieces of Falling in Love designer paper are also layered onto the bag and onto the strip of Soft Sky cardstock.

I scalloped a piece of the Falling in Love paper with my Best Badge Punch (see that idea here), and then tied it all up with the Gold Sale a Bration metallic ribbon!! 

If you watched the VIDEO HERE, you noticed that you can change up the look of a project like this by flipping the paper doily to the white side, layering it with the Silver metallic doily and using the white and silver Sale a Bration ribbon!!

 

I also thought you might like this bonus idea... when you have strips of designer paper left over, wrap them around the Glassine bags or Kraft gift bags and then embellish with doilies or die cuts or whatever you have handy.  It's a great way to send a little treat like these welcome packets recently sent to new Luv 2 Stamp Group members.  The polkadot glassine bags retired, but you can still get the regular glassine bags in my online store, just click any of the product photo links at the bottom of this post to shop online.

Luv 2 Stamp Group Falling in Love projects, video tutorial, giveaway and Blog Hop

Wow.. I have so much to share with you today!  Our Luv 2 Stamp Group (Stampin' UP! demonstrators in my downline) had a wonderful online event yesterday and several of us shared project ideas with the group during our live event through FaceBook.

Today I am sharing one of my projects with you and I have a Video Tutorial for you as well!  My projects were all created with the Falling in Love suite from the 2017 Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog.  Other demonstrators used other suites for their presentations.. scroll down to read more.

 

Falling in Love heart / doily card by Patty Bennett

I will be sharing all of my Falling in Love projects with you over the coming week.  Tune in on Tuesday, Feb. 21 and Thursday Feb. 23 for our other projects!  

Here is project #1.  A fun card featuring a "peek a boo" heart cut out with a Lace Doily behind it!  The top fold card is Blushing Bride cardstock and the greeting is stamped in Soft Suede.

I normally gravitate toward white and bright colors, but I truly love the soft pinks, vanilla, browns and gold on these cards.  I used the gold metallic ribbon (FREE!) from Sale-a-Bration! It's one of the free choices with your $50! (Read more about Sale a Bration here)

 

To add to the gold glimmer effect, I flicked some Clear and Gold Wink of Stella glimmery dots onto the cards as well.

 

As I mentioned in the video above, depending on which paper patterns you use from the Falling in Love designer paper pack, you get very different results on the same basic card design.

Each month I package up 15 little gifts for the top sellers in my Luv 2 Stamp Group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  To celebrate the November top sellers, I bought them some Christmas ribbon and twine and packaged it up in a cello bag with a fun "Mrs. Santa Stamper" tee shirt tag! 

 

 

The bags are tied up with the fabulous 3/4" Real Red stitched edge ribbon from page 5 of the 2016 Holiday catalog.

The tags were created with 2 new stamp sets:

Custom Tee from the upcoming 2017 Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog (page 30),

and Delicate Details from the upcoming 2017 Sale a Bration catalog (a free item you can select with your $50 order starting Jan. 4, 2017) (page 9).

 

I also used the Jolly Hat Builder punch with Red and Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper for a Santa hat!

They are layered onto an oval die cut using the Fancy Frost designer paper, and red/white striped paper from the Designer paper stack, then on Real Red Cardstock.

Crafting Tip!

You can curve your photopolymer stamps on the clear blocks to create custom images... do you see how I curved the lace to match the bottom of the tee shirt?

 

 

To create the T-shirts:

• die cut the t-shirt with the matching T-shirt Builder Framelit Dies
• stamp the t-shirt outline image onto the die cut
• (or reverse the order above.. both ways work)
• curve the lace stamp (per above) and stamp it along the bottom of the shirt in Cherry Cobbler
• die cut a white collar using the die in the T-Shirt builder framelit dies - adhere to shirt with 2 glue dots
• Stamp happy Stamper onto the shirt using black ink and the stamp in the Custom Tee stamp set

 

 

Punch out the Santa hat with the Jolly Hat builder punch and red glimmer paper and Dazzling Diamonds glimmer paper.

 

I sponged just a touch of real red ink onto the collar so that it would stand out against the white.

Aren't these fun!?

I used a Stampin' Up! Petite Cafe Gift bag, cut the top closure off, and stamped it with snowflakes and my White StazOn ink pad.  Then I added some "snow" - simply a piece of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper cut with a wavy edge and my paper snips. After that, I added pine trees, die cut with the Santa's Sleigh thinlits and Presents & Pinecones designer paper.

Inside each bag is a Clear Wink of Stella as a little gifty for each of the top 15 sellers in the Luv 2 Stamp group.  You can NEVER have enough Wink of Stella.. trust me!

 

 NOTE: it probably wasn't the best decision to use StazOn on my photopolymer snowflake stamps... so if you have a wood mount or clear mount snowflake, I'd recommend that instead.

Embossed Goodie Bags - So Pretty!

 

I was packaging up welcome packets for my new Luv 2 Stamp group demonstrators and I had a brainstorm moment... I decided instead of just putting little gifts in plain Kraft Bags, why not emboss the bags first!?   OH MY>> I love them!  These Kraft bags are embossed with the Holly embossing folder and the Pine Bough embossing folder from Stampin' Up!

 

 

I decorated the welcome gifts with the Holly embossing folder and Candy Cane Lane designer paper, and then just kept decorating bags, using Presents & Pinecones paper and the Merry Tags thinlits, THEN I decided to add die cut pinecones, holly berries and pine boughs with the Pretty Pines thinlits!!

After embossing the bag, I put the gift inside, then cut a 2"x12" strip of designer paper, folded it in 1/2 then folded it around the bag and stapled at the top.  This "belly band" can slip off the bag so the recipient can regift this bag if they want to.

The doilies and other embellishments are added to the belly band, so nothing is stuck to the bag.

 

 

They are pretty cheery little gifts, don't you think?  My friend Cindee has shown me by example over the years that the packaging is 1/2 the gift... so I have been trying to dress up the packaging when I send a little gifty :)

 

 

I used both the Watermelon Wonder striped ribbon and the Red Stitched Edge ribbon to add a little extra pop of color to these bags.

I also added In Color Doilies and Gold Foil metallic doilies and either stamped focal images, or tags from the Merry Tags framelits and stamp set bundle.  (Save 10% when you buy a bundle!)

When you are "building" these medallions with pine boughs, I found it easiest to use either Glue Dots or Multipurpose liquid glue and build the whole thing while holding it in my hand, then add it to the package.. see below for picture description:

 

 

Isn't the Merry Tags embellishment pretty when it's die cut with the Gold Foil paper!!??

 

After adding all those fun pine bough layers, I added some of the Mini Pinecone copper embellishments with some Linen Thread.  Just the perfect finishing touch!

Luv 2 Stamp Group online event project tutorial!

Last Saturday was a great live online webinar training event for the Luv 2 Stamp Group, and I demonstrated how to create these matchbook style projects.  With the same supplies you can create a flat card, or a 3-d goodie bag holder!

Foxy Friends Kitty Card - Love to You!

 

I had fun creating this stamped kitty note card for a recent Luv 2 Stamp Group / Luvly Stampers group swap!  I used my sweet Foxy Friends stamp set and the lovely Affectionately Yours designer paper. 

 

 

One thing that is so striking about this Affectionately Yours paper is the copper foil accents on 2 of the sheets.  Do you see the pretty shimmery copper embossing on the lower 1/2 of the card?

 

 

I combined images from the Thoughtful Banners and Perfectly Wrapped stamp sets to stamp "love to you" and used the Heart Border punch to punch out Watermelon Wonder hearts.  They are easily applied to the card with Multipurpose glue or the Fine Tip glue pen.

 

The final accent on my Crumb Cake Note Card is the Flirty Flamingo ruched ribbon.. so pretty!  And it ties knots and bows like a dream!

 This fun Foxy Friends stamp set can create so many different animals!!  Fox, Racoon, Kitty, Skunk, Reindeer.. what else do you see?

 Today I'm excited to share details for the beautiful squares my Luv 2 Stamp Group made for our 3x3 Occasions Catalog Floral Swap several weeks ago!

I hope you remember this pretty frame I shared from this post, and I wanted to be sure to share all of the details with you for each of the beautiful squares from the Luv 2 Stamp group for  that swap!!

The frame is a 12x12 white wood frame from a craft store, and the 12x12 paper in the background is from the Brights Color Collections paper stack (Daffodil Delight), and a 10"x10" square of Mint Macaron paper from the 2015-2017 In Color Paper Stack.  Each square is 3"x3" and could also be used on a card, on a box, a gift bag, in Project Life or any other crafting or home decor project you'd like to make. 

I took the glass out of the frame because of the 3-d embellishments.  TIP: store your glass behind your project inside the frame so that it doesn't get lost or broken.

Stamping on Embossed Images Video tutorial

 

I had the best time making these pretty little gift bags with the Stampin' UP! Fluttering Embossing Folder, and I thought I would share this quick and easy technique with you!  I have a VIDEO tutorial for you today, be sure to scroll down to see it!  I will show you how I made these and how I stamped on the Fluttering embossing folder image!

 

 

These gift treat bags were mailed to the top sellers in my Luv 2 Stamp group last month!  I hope they liked them! 

 

 

Be sure to watch the video to see how easy it is to stamp on the embossed image to achieve this pretty result, and to see how I die cut the butterflies out of the Birthday Bouquet paper!

Isn't that cool... die cutting a butterfly out of printed paper!?  Use a fairly small pattern and you'll see such pretty colorful results on your die cut!!  Be sure to use your Precision Base Plate and the Die Brush with these intricate designs for best results (see supply photo list at the bottom of this post for all ordering info - just click the product photos to see more info on each product in my online Stampin' UP! store).

 

 

As mentioned in the video above, I was using up some supplies from my March Paper Pumpkin kit, and I also made these cards with some of the supplies and the same fluttering embossing folder and the Birthday Bouquet paper die cut butterflies.
