I invite you to read the M&M Christmas Story!

One of the benefits I offer to my Luv 2 Stamp Group is both a private Facebook group just for our team, and also a faith-based facebook support group for my team that we call

Luv 2 Stamp Serve Pray.

I wanted to make a special gift for this Luv 2 Stamp Serve Pray group, so this week I sent them each one of these M&M Christmas Story gift bags plus one of my Gratitude and Praise Swatchbooks.

I created these using My Digital Studio swatchbooks, then took the rivet out of them and used the pages as individual tags.

I started with the 12 Days of Christmas Swatchbook template download for My Digital Studio

and then customized it with my own text.

Above and below you can see the front and back of the tags.

I filled a Stampin' Up! 4"x6" cello bag with M&M's and tied them with the Cherry Cobbler 1" ribbon, then added the MDS swatchbook tag!

LOOK WHAT I'LL BE WEARING TO CONVENTION THIS WEEK!

I attached these gorgeous new Frosted Finished snowflake embellishments to one of the Simply Adorned Bracelets Stampin' Up! used to sell.. I simply used a Jump Ring on each embellishment.. done! :)

The bracelet sold out months ago, but you can still purchase the NECKLACE on the Clearance Rack and embellish that!

Tomorrow is the Big Day... we fly off to Salt Lake City to the Stampin' Up! convention!  I have over 30 wonderful demonstrators from my Luv 2 Stamp Group attending this year and I am so excited to share these few amazing days with them!

I sent each of them a tag for their convention bag and a sparkly lanyard for their nametag.

I created the tags with My Digital Studio using a blank Swatchbook template.

Stampin' Up! is celebrating their 25th anniversary this year so it's sure to be a SUPER exciting Convention!

Wow.. it's that time of year again.. time to head off to Salt Lake City, UT to enjoy several days with my best Stampin' Up! buddies at the

Stampin' Up! convention!

I'll be doing my best to blog each day from Convention, so check back for updates.

Today I thought I'd share the gifts I gave my downline who are attending convention this week.

I made them each a tag to put on their convention bag and a notepad in a clear-mount stamp case for their Convention notes. Both were designed with My Digital Studio.

I tied fabric strips from the Essentials Designer Fabric package to each tag.

The tags are designed in My Digital Studio with a "Swatchbook" project, but instead of a horizontal book, I designed them to be vertical tags.

As I prepare to leave for the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference in about a week, I was making and mailing the gifts for the wonderful gals in my downline who are attending the event with me.

Before Christmas, I made some "bag tags" in My Digital Studio using the "Swatchbook" option. As you can see by the sample in this link, the swatchbook is meant to be a horizontal book with pages held together by a rivet.. but I made mine with a vertical layout and took the book apart when it arrived from the Stampin' Up! Printing service and I used them as "bag tags" for my gals (and for some Christmas gifts as well).

The back of every tag is the same, but I personalized the front of each tag in My Digital Studio:

I made each gal a "black and white"  version with the 1-1/4" Basic Black Wide Striped Grosgrain Ribbon to match our matching Thirty One bags, and a pink, black and white version with Melon Mambo striped Stampin' Up! ribbon, in case they want to have a tag on another bag or in case they like the pink better once we get there.

I also made myself a differnt version to match another bag I ordered:

I hope my gals enjoy their bags and tags.. these will  be great for our swaps and Make & Take supplies...  can't wait to spend some time with my wonderful gals in San Antonio later this month!

As you know I had a GREAT TIME at our annual Stampin' Up! Convention in July ... I wanted to archive some of the fun moments in a My Digital Studio SWATCH BOOK.. these books are so cute.. i did this in an evening!!  If you have updated to the latest version of MDS you will see this swatch book option under PHOTOBOOKS & INDIVIDUAL PAGES when you go to create a new project.  (More info on SWATCH BOOKS here)

this gives you an idea of the size... the pages measure 3-1/4" x 5-1/2" and are attached with a rivet in the upper left corner.

here are a few of the pages:

when you flip it over, you see all the pages on the back sides... too fun!

I know this is going to be hard to see but you can double-click it to enlarge it.... what I did to start my swatch book was to make about 10 different "templates" (backgrounds with places for photos and journaling) and I repeated these pages over and over to fill my 26 page book.  Then I SAVED that file and opened a duplicate file to use for my Convention 2011 book, and inserted my convention photos.. that way I have a little swatch book template that I can reuse, modify, etc. without redoing all the work.

 

I tried to stick with just a few different MDS download files.. for the most part, here are the downloads I used:
