Project Life App and Printing Pages through My Digital Studio

 

I have a video tutorial for you today which will show you some of the great Project Life by Stampin' Up! albums I've been working on as well as some info on the Project Life App by Becky Higgins and how I printed my 12x12 pages through My Digital Studio for my album.

When I was making <<<these cute

Soda Pop top

card embellishments last week, I was reminded of years ago when our son collected Pogs!!  They made me smile :)

You can find these fun Soda Pop Tops on pg 24 in the Stampin' Up! Spring catalog, or online here.

 

You can create stamped artwork, or punch out any Designer Paper center for these soda pop tops (1" circle punch for the large pop top, and 1/2" circle punch for the small pop tops), but what I decided to try was some printed circles in

My Digital Studio!

With the release of My Digital Studio 2 today, I wanted to be clear that the DVD for sale below is for the original MDS. It was filmed a year and a half ago and it does not have any MDS2 features on it.  It is still a basic introduction to My Digital Studio with a 5 page overview handout, but it will not give you any info for MDS2.

      This can be viewed on your TV with your DVD player.

      If viewing on your computer: we found that it was best viewed with Windows Media Player version 12 for Windows 7, or, Windows Media Player version 10 or 11 for Windows XP.  It worked fine on my neighbors Mac computer.

Founder's Circle 2010 Swap card - Patty Bennett

Tonight is our big swap at Founder's Circle!  We were asked by Stampin' Up! to bring 135 swaps!! That's a lot of cards! :) 

I made the top 1/2 of my card using MY DIGITAL STUDIO and used "real" Night Owl Designer Paper on the bottom portion (see pg 9 holiday mini catalog, item #123012), then tied it with Stampin' Up! Basic Black Satin Ribbon and layered it onto Pear Pizzazz and Basic Black Cardstock.

I've had lots of questions about the "witch hat" I made in MDS ... here is a tutorial for you .. these are the pieces I used in MDS and layered them all one on top of the next.

I stamped Spooky and punched it out with the Modern Label punch (pg 202, item #119849) and layered that onto a Scallop Oval punch out (pg 201, item #119856). I added a punched Bat to the top portion of the card too (pg 201, item #119279).

 

to make my Basic Black cardstock all shimmery, I sprayed it with a mixture of Frost White Shimmer paint (pg 195, item #116854) mixed with rubbing alcohol in a spritzer bottle.  Pretty.. don't you think!?  Order all your supplies ONLINE HERE anytime!

I printed these on my Epson R1900 printer with Stampin' Up! Whisper White cardstock and they did well.  I have also had hundreds of cards printed through the Stampin' Up! printing service.  Either way works great.

Copyright question / solution:

Michele asked about the copyright not being on the back of the card when you cut it in 1/2... some solutions:

1.  you can add one of the MDS copyright stamp images on "page 2" of your project, which will print on the back of page 1. (pg 4 comes with the copyright info printed on it - which would be the back of pg 3)

2. you could stamp one of the SU! copyright stamps on the back of your project

3. you can get a personalized stamp made with the copyright info to stamp on the back of your project
