Brayered Roses Technique and VIDEO!

Do you see a THEME starting to develop with my 6x6 Technique Book class this week??  Like... ROSES??  Manhattan Floral, Fifth Avenue Floral...  :)

Here is project #2... I THINK I actually thought of this all by myself.. as far as I know you can call this a PATTY BENNETT ORIGINAL!

Brayered Roses

Create beautiful softly shaded roses using the Brayer.

Technique by Patty Bennett

Supplies:

·         Textured Impressions Die – Manhattan Flower from Stampin’ Up!

·         Big Shot, Multipurpose Platform, clear cutting pads

·         Shimmery White Cardstock

·         Brayer

·         2 to 3 coordinating colors – classic ink pads

·         scissors

Directions:

1.         Emboss the Manhattan Flower die onto Shimmery White cardstock with the Multipurpose platform and the Big Shot

2.        Turn the finished image over so the raised portion is facing DOWN onto your work surface

3.        Ink your brayer in one color (I used Regal Rose) and then ROLL OFF much of the ink onto scrap paper

4.       Roll remaining ink onto “debossed” rose image (raised portion facing DOWN) – in a “hit and miss” fashion – do NOT try to cover the image entirely with color

5.        Repeat steps 3 and 4 with a 2nd color – I used Summer Sun

6.       Cut image out and adhere to your card or project

You are done! Isn’t that quick and easy and BEAUTIFUL!? J

Printed Window Sheet Cards - part 3

Here are a couple more Printed Window Sheet Cards I made on the weekend.. these are just really too fun!!!!

Window sheet 2

The white polka dots are printed on the window sheet.

The white daisy is from the Daisy die and the Big Shot.  I put 2 corduroy buttons in the center. See THIS POST for how I nested the 2 buttons together.

The flowers are on the printed window sheet, and the colored greeting is from the Bright Delights Rub Ons.  The flower centers are corduroy buttons which adhere the window sheet to the Summer Sun card.

More Printed Window Sheet Cards

Yesterday I posted a Printed Window Sheet card using supplies from the Occasions Mini catalog.. here are 2 more cards using the Printed Window Sheets and Baja Breeze Cardstock.

Window sheet 5

Ignore the glare and reflections.. it's hard to photograph these without it!

Window sheet 4

Just as in yesterday's card, I used the brads on each card to attach the Window Sheet to the cardstock.

Stampin' Up! Printed Window Sheets

I got a chance to play with the new Stampin' Up! Printed Window Sheets from the Occasions Mini catalog... I LOVE THESE!   They come with 4 patterns printed on an 8-1/2"x11" sheet, you cut it in 1/4ths and VOILA... you have 4 card fronts!  How easy is that?!?

Everything you see printed in WHITE here is what is printed on the window sheet:

Window sheet 3

I have layered it over some printed "Walk in the Park" Designer paper also from the Occasions Mini catalog.

The flower focal point is 3 layered die cuts of the smallest flower from the Daisies #2 die cut with the Big Shot machine. In the center is a new Baja Breeze corduroy button (yep also from the Occasions Mini!) - the brad is going through the window sheet, the printed DSP and the Baja Breeze card to hold all the layers together.
