I am leaving for the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference today (Tuesday), and I wanted to share a couple fun things... here is a card Stampin' Up! sent to me inviting me to a special luncheon during Leadership for past and present members of the ADVISORY BOARD

I mean.. wow.. how gorgeous is this!?  I love it!

Blossom Petals Punch - GREAT TIP!

Yesterday I shared a couple of samples featuring the Blossom Petals punch and the Build a Blossom stamp set... well, HOLD ON TO YOUR HELMET... check out this amazing tip from Catherine Harwood.. this is the coolest idea ever!!

You can position your stamps on the clear block, stamp them all at once and then punch them all at once!! Whohooo!! WHAT A TIME SAVER!!

(I used clear block D)

You just need to make a template first by punching out of cardstock, lay it over your images, and line them up below the template then press to secure them to the block.. whohooo!  Thanks Catherine!

Here are a couple more samples for you .. enjoy!

to make this "3-D" flower, after punching out each petal, I spritzed them with water, crunched them up in my hand and let them dry all "wrinkled".. very cool!

Blossom Petals Punch from Stampin' Up!

I can't believe we are nearing the END of the FABULOUS OCCASIONS MINI CATALOG from Stampin' Up!  Wow.. where did the last 4 months go?????????

Today's post features the really neat BLOSSOM PETAL PUNCH and the coordinating BUILD A BLOSSOM stamp set, found on pg 12 of the Occasions Mini catalog.. I love these 2 coordinating products!

Paper: Marina Mist cardstock, Greenhouse Gala DSP.

after stamping and punching the petals above, I "curled them" with my thumb and bone folder, like you would curl curling ribbon, and then I spritzed them with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.

 

I sponged some Frost White Shimmer paint onto the petals in the card above... gives them a really pretty glimmery look!!

The petals were punched from Whisper White cardstock that has been run through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder.. too cool!

Notably Ornate

Remember this adorable box with cards I posted awhile back?

Well, I decided to do my own take on this... and use red and black - Cherry Cobbler and Basic Black to be technically correct - and I made my own set of cards using the Fun Flowers die .. hope you like them!

These  are really pretty quick and easy.. I ran a folded Very Vanilla card through the Stampin' Up! Big Shot with the FRAMED TULIP EMBOSSING FOLDER (pg 28, Occasions Mini catalog, #121809), and then cut out Cherry Cobbler cardstock and FIRST EDITION DESIGNER PAPER (pg 25 Occasions Mini catalog, #121878) with the FUN FLOWERS BIG SHOT DIE (pg 39 Occasions Mini catalog, #121812) and then used a different brad or embellishment in the center of each one.

I stamped the Vanilla card with the Notably Ornate frame stamp (pg 125 Stampin' Up! catalog, #117098  or #120561) in Basic Black ink.

Add a tag with a greeting and voila.. super easy cards!

This was a fun combo - the Fun Flowers Big Shot die and the Love Letters Designer Paper - all from Stampin' Up!  This was one of the cards my students made in our February Stamp a Stack class. Don't you love the combo of Cherry Cobbler with the cream & black?

Sweet Stitches Pattern Pieces Card

From my Sweet Stitches class last week... another card featuring the fabulous products from pgs 32 to 39 in the Stampin' UP! Occasions Mini catalog....

this card features the Pattern Pieces image from pg 37, item 122230

and the FREE ribbon & buttons from the SALE A BRATION catalog.. they are too fun!

You can use the stamp from pg 37, or, use MDS like I did .. I printed these images out from My Digital Studio instead of buying the stamp. We used the DISTRESSING ESSENTIALS KIT #118762 from page 195 in the catalog to make the pattern piece look vintage and well loved.

Fabric Yoyo card - Sweet Stitches Class

Here is another project from my Sweet Stitches class last week.. we made Fabric yoyo's using the new Sweet Stitches Fabric from Stampin' Up!, and added them to a card;

Sweet Stitched DSP, #121781, pg 32 Occasions Mini catalog.

To cut the fabric into circles, I used the 3-1/2" Circle die and my Big Shot.. I cut about 6 layers at once.. easy peasy!!  To make the yoyo, sew a running stitch around the edge, gather it up and push it down flat.  I put a Sweet Stitches brad/button in the center to hold it to the card.

Covered Button Containers

This super cute project was definitely the HIT of my SWEET STITCHES class last week... HUGE thanks to Christy Daugherty for her inspiration! 

The new Pompom trim in the Occasions Mini catalog (pg 35) just MAKES these adorable containers over-the-top cute!

We used a combo of Snail, Hot Glue, Sticky Strip and Glue Dots for adhering the layers and embellishmetns.
