Did you get your Blossom Punch yet!?  It's in the Occasions mini catalog on pg 17, or HERE ONLINE, but the mini catalog EXPIRES (GASP!!!!!) on Monday, April 30th.  I am HOPING HOPING that this punch will be in our new Stampin' Up! catalog on June 1st.. but no hints from headquarters on that yet... so .. get it while you can, cuz you'll need it for our upcoming WREATH CLASS!!!!

<<< I was so excited when I made this card... it features the Attic Boutique Designer paper  from Stampin' Up! and a paper flower made with the same paper and the BLOSSOM PUNCH.  

I saw a video by Cathy Parlitsis (see it here) and was inspired to make my own version of her flowers.  They are SO fun and easy so I wanted to share my version with you.

Apothecary Art stamp set and the matching Labels Collection Big Shot framelit dies!

After Stamping the beautiful Apothecary art floral stamp on Whisper white, I die cut it with the Big Shot and the Labels Collection Framelit, colored it with Stampin' Write markers, then mounted it onto an Everyday Elegance card that had been embellished with some Twitterpated DSP.  Voila.. simple, beautiful, fun and easy!

The little banner and cute pink rhinestone are from the Blossom Builders kit.

I die cute the beautiful edge with the new Adorning Accents Edgelit Die (#125595) and stamped the cute matching dotted border with the Bordering on Romance set (#125480/125482).

Base card is Poppy Parade cardstock, and the flowery DSP at the bottom is also from the FREE Everyday Enchantment DSP pack.

I stamped the label image from the Apothecary Art set (#125525/125527) on Very Vanilla in Early Espresso ink and colored it in with markers before die cutting it with the Labels Collection Framelit dies (#125598).  You'll find those supplies on page 24 of the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini catalog.

In Colors I used to color in the image: Calypso Coral, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade

When I was making my Stampin' Up! Leadership Swap cards last January, I came across a tip that helped speed up my card making process AND made it easier too!!!!

FIRST: I stamped a sheet of flower centers from the Mixed Bunch set and then placed it on my mat and poked a hole in the center of each one with my paper piercer:

And then I punched out each flower center with the circle punch:

and then added the Designer Printed brads:

That was so much faster than punching them all out and then poking the holes in each little circle .... it may not seem like a huge time saving tip, but it was so much less frustrating to do it this way when stamping a lot of swaps!

I love the Mixed Bunch set.. I especially love that I can punch out the stamped flowers with the matching Blossom Punch.. whohoo!

Dresden Designs Big Shot Die from Stampin' Up!

I know.. at first glance you may be thinking... what do I do with this new Dresden Designs Die from Stampin' Up!? (haven't seen it yet? check out page 12 of the Occasions mini catalog)  Well, it's meant to die cut fabric (and you know, when it's Stampin' Up! fabric you have a dynomite duo!)... it cuts out 2 different sized "petals".  The Dresden Plate quilt pattern was one of the most popular quilts made in the 1920's and 1930's.  It was most often used with the floral prints of the period, so sometimes it goes by the name of Grandmother's Sunburst, Dahlia, or Sunflower.

Check out these WONDERFUL projects using the Stampin' Up! Dresden Designs die .. these were on display at the Stampin' Up! Leadership conference in San Antonio last month.

 

 

 

And this is a lovely example of the "Dresden Plate" design made with this die... this was on display at our February Luv 2 Stamp Group meeting, and was made by Lynne Marini.
