 All of my finished greeting cards are either 4-1/4" square or the standard 4-1/4"x5-1/2" card bases with the Project Life cards layered on top.

Since I used the 2014-2016 In Color Card Bases, I also used the In Color Ribbon and ink colors to have a coordinating set of cards.

HOW TO MAKE this set of cards:

1. Grab your 2014-2016 In Color Card Base package

2. Gather your This Day Project Life card pack from Sale a Bration 2015

3. You'll need 10 envelopes from any package of Stampin' Up! envelopes

4.  Greeting stamps, In Color Ink and In Color ribbon will be perfect

5. Adhesives of your choice: I used Fast Fuse and Stampin' Dimensionals

6. Per the photo below.. trim the 4x6 Project Life cards to 4x5-1/4" so they will layer onto your Card Bases, then start embellishing with the 3"x4" Project Life cards in the kit, stamp greetings, add ribbon and voila!

Update on the Valentine's for the Office cards

February 14, 2015

 

You may remember that I blogged about the handmade Valentine cards I sent in to my hubby's office for the guys to select from... well, I asked you which set of card you thought the guys would like best.. and I have an update..

The "Love Story" Project Life card cards and the Stacked with Love cards went first (See them all here).  One person selected the Sheltering Tree cards.

Since these Project Life cards were the most popular, I thought I'd do an update with more info on them.  These were SO easy.. Here is the HOW TO:

  • I just grabbed some of the Love Story Project Life cards (see them on pg 189 of the annual catalog or here online) and I trimmed 1/2" off the length so they'd fit perfectly on a standard size card! How easy is that!?
  • I cut and folded Real Red cardstock as the base.. super simple!
  • I stamped I DO LOVE YOU in Real Red on the card below.  You'll find that great stamp on pg 24 of the Occasions catalog, or see the Big On You set here online.

I added the sweet little "love" heart on the Love you to the Moon card .. the heart is from the You Brighten my Day free Sale a Bration set on pg 11 of the Sale a Bration catalog.  I punched it out with the Itty Bitty Punch pack and then put an Itty Bitty Epoxy heart sticker on top!  See below at the bottom of this post for ordering info.

The only thing I added on the cards above was to stamp you on the card on the left.. that's in the Countless Sayings 2 stamp set, seen here online.

Isn't it so cool how the love stamp from the "You Brighten My Day" Sale a Bration set coordinates with the Itty Bitty Punch pack heart punch and the Itty Bitty Epoxy stickers! Wow! Way to go Stampin' Up! for all these coordinating products!!!

Valentine's Cards for the Office

My Hubby works in an engineering office with about 10 men, and I guess they were talking about Valentine's and cards and all that jazz last week... so I volunteered to make some cards to send in to the office so that the guys could pick a card to send or give to their wife, girlfriend, etc.  

I couldn't settle on just one Valentine Card design, so I made several different selections... which ones do you think they'll like best?

When I read the name of the new Project Life cards by Stampin' Up!, I knew exactly what I wanted to use one of my packages for... the pack is called THIS DAY and it was perfect for documenting my birthday in May 2014! Because it was a fabulous day!

We took a rare "day off" and drove over the San Rafael Bridge through Sausalito to the Marin Headlands and took photos of the Golden Gate Bridge, then went over the bridge into San Francisco to spend the afternoon being tourists.  We do this a couple times a year and it is just my favorite day every time we do it! :)  We are so blessed to live just a few minutes from the city!!

I was packing up my Hello December album to take to our recent Luv 2 Stamp Group event and I decided that the album cover NEEDED to be decorated.. so I pulled out my Star Stencil and my Tree Punch and in a matter of about 10 minutes it was done!

I used the Trim the Tree Paper Stack and my Tree Punch (both from the Holiday catalog) and added paper trees to the cover.. complete with punched out stars for tree toppers!!  Did you miss my previous post with info on how to make the smaller trees?  Check it out here.

The star punch is from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack and works perfectly as a tree topper for these trees!  I punched the stars out of the "Under the Tree" Designer paper (also from the Holiday catalog).  See all the products used at the Bottom of this post.. click any item to go right to my online store for easy ordering.

As you can see.. stenciling the cover is really easy with the Star Mask (stencil) and Stampin' Up! Classic ink and a sponge dauber! Use Washi Tape to hold down the mask while stenciling.

Stampin' Up! Halloween Home Decor

Boo!

Ok, well, it's not quite Halloween but you definitely have time to make a cute home decor Memory Tray wall hanging like this with Stampin' Up! Motley Monsters paper and the Freaky Friends stamp set before Halloween!

Memory-tray-halloween-project-patty  I bought a Memory Tray at a national chain crafting store, and used Stampin' Up! paper and supplies, including Project Life by Stampin' Up! cards to fill in the spots in the tray! Super Quick and simple!

You'll need:

Motley Monsters Designer Paper #135819

and Freaky Friends set #135158/135161

on page 45 of the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.

I also used some other supplies.. here are some close up photos of each section with a little more detail of what you'll need to complete them.

Don't want to make a frame or tray?  use each section as design inspiration for a card or smaller framed project!

Above: I made tombstones out of the Note Tag punch and die cut a ghost from the Fun Fall Framelits to add on top of the Motley Monsters designer paper. BE SCARY was stamped in Memento black ink and it is found in the Holiday Invitation set on pg 49 in the Holiday catalog.

Above: This is just a piece of the Motley Monsters paper cut out and added to a piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock.

Above:  more Motley Monsters DSP added to each frame section, with another "tombstone" punched from the Tag punch.  I cut the little blue monster out of the DSP.

Above: this is a Project Life by Stampin' Up! card added to Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I embellished a bit with a die cut ghost and punched out moon. The Project Life card is from the Seasonal Snapshot package, found on pg 35 in the Holiday Catalog.

Above: I stamped on a Project Life card (from the Seasonal Snapshot pack) with the Halloween Street single stamp on pg 47 of the Holiday catalog. I added paper from the Motley Monsters pack and some Tangerine Tango two-tone twine (pg 45).

Above: tip ... place Stampin' Dimensionals in each section and then place your cards in each section. If you want to change the cards, just use a Paper Piercer to lift the corner of the card and take it out.

Monday rolls around so quickly... doesn't it?  How does that happen?

Well, that being said, Monday Means it's Creative Challenge Club Day!

For my card today, I decided to start with a Project Life by Stampin' Up! card (pg 189, #135307), then add my heart punch outs to it and stamp Thank You on it. I also added a strip of paper from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper pack as well as 2 candy dots.  The lines, arrows and little hearts were printed on the card.  If you prefer to stamp it all, you can nearly recreate this design with the Project Life Point & Click stamp set on pg 27 (#135787).

Hip Hip Hooray for the Luv 2 Stamp Group Top Sellers!

Happiness-is-project-life-stampin-up-personalized-round-custom-stamp-2 Each month we celebrate the demonstrators in my Luv 2 Stamp Group who have the top 25 in sales in our group.  I send a card and little gift to the top 10. I'm a month behind in sharing these with you but these are the cards I sent out in June for May Congrats! :)

I used several of the Project Life cards from the Happiness Is Card Collection (pg 189, #135307).  I stamped them each the same with Hip-Hip Hooray you did it! from the Bravo stamp set (pg 133, #135380) in Island Indigo ink.

Wouldn't these little Project Life cards be adorable just by themself as a little "tuck in" in a lunch, a backpack or briefcase!?  They are 3"x4".  To make them into cards, I added them to a Stampin' Up! 3-1/2" x 5" Whisper White Note card (pg 194, #131527), and also added some designer Paper from the Confetti Celebration package (pg 186, #133692).

Project Life Nerd Power Father's Day Card

Ok, any of you who are Bay Area Oakland A's fans know what I'm talking about when I say Nerd Power... and I'm proud to say I even own "Sogards"... Eric Sogard of the Oakland A's is known for his "nerd power" glasses, and I was SOOOO excited to see them in the Happiness Is Project Life card pack!  I knew immediately that I'd make a Father's Day card with this fun printed card!

Yep, those are my nerd power "Sogards"... I've worn glasses since I was 3 years old and during the day I wear contacts with strong reading glasses over them. I have had my Sogards for about 2 years and was "tickled" (as my grandma would say) that they are actually trendy now because of Eric Sogard!  LOL

This is the card I made for Eric (Eric Bennett, not Eric Sogard) for Father's Day:

Since Mr. Bennett has had a mustache for about 29 of the 30 years I've known him, I thought it was a fun idea to add the mustache die cut to this card :)  He seemed to like the card! The mustache framelit die is on pg 230 of the new Stampin' Up! catalog (#133741), and available here online.

The card printed with the glasses is found in the Happiness Is Project Life card packet, pg 189, #135307.

Below is the inside of the card.. anything with grid paper makes my heart sing.. so I grabbed this piece of printed paper out of the Moonlight DSP stack.  I added some Washi Tape from the Epic Day package (pg 190, #131269).

The celebrate greeting is from the Fabulous Four stamp set, pg 13, #134171 / 134174  and the arrow is punched out with the What's Up punch, new this year and found on pg 222, #133781.

The Father's Day greeting was from the May My Paper Pumpkin kit.  I stamped it in Blackberry Bliss ink and added the dots with a Stampin' Write marker. 

This would also make a great guy card for any occasion.. just swap out the greeting for birthday, thinking of you, miss you, love you, take me out to dinner... :)

Welcome back!! I know I've taken a couple of months off from the tour.. thank you for coming back to visit!  You have probably reached me after visiting Mary Brown's super amazing blog, and if not, be sure to travel backwards on the tour and visit her! :)

Our tour this month features new product from Stampin' UP!  My wish list was 2 miles long this year.. what an amazing new catalog!!  wowza!!  So it's difficult to choose what I want to share with you, but here are a couple faves!  This sweet and peppy notecard features the new BRAVO stamp set and a Project Life card.  I love stamping on the new Project LIfe cards because it gives me a base that is already "decorated" to stamp on intead of plain Whisper White paper!

Hello There Notecard with Itty Bitty Flower Punch

I am a big fan of the Stampin' Up! Whisper White Note Cards.. I love them!  I love the size and the price and the fact that they are cut and scored for me and come with matching envelopes!! There are 20 notecards and envelopes in a pack for only $5.95!  Find them on pg 194 in the catalog, or order them here online (#131527), and this year you'll also find them in Crumb Cake in addition to Whisper White!

I created this pretty little note card featuring the Hello There Stampin' Up! Hostess set and a Project Life card!  You are going to see LOTS of samples in the coming weeks featuring Project Life cards as my stamped focal point.. I love the colors and designs and variety!! (oh, and the great price!)

I punched flowers using the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (pg 222, #133787) out of polka dot paper from the Brights Color Collection Paper stack (pg 185, #130134) and finished them off with a sweet Candy Dot from the Regals package (pg 208, #130932).  The background Chevron paper is from the Regals paper stack (Crushed Curry), #130139.

So I mentioned that I stamped on a Project Life Card.. Rather than getting out a blank piece of cardstock to stamp on, I love grabbing these great printed cards to stamp my focal point or greeting on!  You can see them all on page 189 in the Stampin' Up! catalog.  There are 4 different variety packs to select from and each contains 100 double sided cards with all different patterns for only $15.95! THat's only .16 cents each! What a great deal!  the Crushed Curry oval card above is from the Everyday Adventure package, #135298, pg 189.

Beach House Washi Tape Note Cards

One of the fun gifts we received on the Stampin' Up! cruise was a package of the brand new Beach House Washi Tape! I love these pretty and colorful designs!!!  I put the rolls of Washi Tape right to use making cards!

The cute printed cards are from the Project Life card packet called Everyday Adventure (pg 189 #135298).  They are fun to grab and embellish with stamped images, punch outs, washi tape, etc.!

I decorated this Thank You card with the Beach House Washi Tape, star punches (from Itty Bitty Accents punch pack pg 222, #133787) and rhinestones.
