Wreath Card idea for Christmas with Peaceful Noel set

 

Would you believe me if I told you this card intimidated me!? 

I was afraid to try this "random stamped wreath" Christmas card idea featuring the Stampin' UP! Peaceful Noel stamp set.   It was one of the projects I made at Kurstan's BINGO event last month.. it's it amazing!!  AND it was super easy and I LOVE how it turned out!

 

 Step 1:

Trace an oval or circle onto your Whisper White cardstock paper as a guide for stamping.

Use the pine sprigs and other leaf images in the Peaceful Noel set (pg 29 in the 2018 Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog, or HERE online) and stamp randomly around the circle or oval. We used Tranquil Tide, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede ink.  Stamp berry image in Merry Merlot ink randomly around the wreath.

 

 Step 2:

Add a 4" strip of the Merry Merlot & Copper reversible ribbon across the wreath, then add a piece of Joyous Noel designer paper on top of the ribbon.

Tuck punched sprigs under the ribbon.  They are punched with the Sprig punch and the Joyous Noel Tranquil Tide glimmer paper.

Step 3:

Layer the whisper white stamped cardstock onto a piece of Merry Merlot cardstock and onto a folded Crumb Cake card base.

Stamp the greeting in Merry Merlot ink onto a stitched shape framelit oval and add to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Step 4:

Don't forget to "gussy up" (as my grandma would have said) the envelope, too!

Pop Of Petals card with Four Petal Punch

 I was adding Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint to these Pop of Petal flower images on one of my recent videos (here),  so then I decided I needed to use these flowers on a card!!  I created this lovely summery, tropical card with the Tropical Chic bundle, Tropical Chic paper and some Frosted Floral paper!  Neat combo, right?

 

I Loved how the Frosted Floral background leaf pattern coordinates with the Tropical Chic paper and bundle and Pop of Petals bundle!

It's kind of like a baby card on top of a card base!

Dimensions:

• Granny Apple Green base layer: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"
• Frosted Floral green leaf patterned paper: 4" x 5-1/4"
• Small folded Calypso Coral card: 6" x 4" folded in 1/2
• Flirty Flamingo mat layer: 2-3/4" x 3-3/4"
• Black and White Tropical Chic patterned paper: 2-1/2" x 3-1/2"

 

I stamped the Pop of Petal flower images with my Memento black ink pad, then colored with them with my Stampin' Blends markers.  I added some Champagne Mist Shimmer paint with a sponge dauber, then punched them out with the Four Petal Flower Punch.

The greeting is found in the Southern Serenade stamp set and stamped on a Stitched Label Framelit die.

DIY Halloween Trick or Treats

 Trick or Treat!  One more quick DIY Halloween idea for you, featuring Stampin' UP! Pillow Boxes!!

 

Do you want to know what I LOVE about these Stampin' Up! Pillow Boxes?

YES! Seriously!!  You just pop up the ends and crease along the prescored lines and voila.. a pillow box! LOVE IT!

 

I had some left over strips of Halloween paper from the Toil and Trouble designer paper pack, so I added those to the pillow box then decorated with various stamps, die cuts and punched images from the 2018 Holiday Catalog.

I spritzed some Basic Black cardstock with Champagne Mist and Frost White Shimmer paint (see how in THIS VIDEO), and then punched out some bats using the Spooky Bats Punch to add to my projects!

 

 

I also added the GORGEOUS Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon to some of my boxes.. SO COOL!

Making Christmas Bright Card Idea using punches

 I hope it's not too early to be thinking about Christmas card projects!!  With all the fun temptation in the 2018 Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog, I just can't resist making some Christmas projects already!  I hope you enjoy my "Making Christmas Bright" Christmas bulb card idea!

  

 

TIP!!! The quickest way to stamp a bunch and punch of these cute Christmas bulbs is to put all of the images from the Making Christmas Bright set (pg 7 in the Holiday catalog or HERE online) onto one clear block then ink it at once in one color, stamp it on a strip of Whisper White cardstock, repeat, clean, and move to the next color.  Then you can easily punch them out with the Christmas Bulb Builder punch - part of the money-saving 10% off bundle!! It made this a super quick project!!

 

Making Christmas Bright Bundle #149947

 

 In addition to the Christmas bulb punch, I also used the bow from the Candy Cane Builder punch (pg 20, #148011)!! It's a fun addition to this card!

I used 2 die cuts as well.. the heart is from the Sweetly Stitched framelits, pg 25, #147918,

and the greeting is stamped on a stitched tag die from the Farmhouse Framelits, pg 13, #147922.

The colors I used for the bulbs above are: Blueberry Bushels, Pineapple Punch, Lovely Lipstick, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green.

 

I punched Galvanized Metallic paper and added it to the card with tweezers and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

 

The greeting was stamped using one of my Rainbow Spectrum pads.. see details HERE.  The greeting is found in the Making Christmas Bright set.

 

 

Hope you enjoyed this fun idea!! To create this card, cut about 1" or 1-1/2" off the front of a top fold card, and then layer some coordinating designer paper inside.  I used a piece of polka dot Granny Apple Green paper from the Brights collection 6x6 paper stack, #146964.

The Stampin' UP! Varied Vases bundle paired with the thick Whisper White note cards can create a very Clean and Simple card design with just a bit of stamping and some punched vases!

I used the Vase Builder punch and 6x6 In Color paper stack make quick work of the vases!

 

What do you think about these simple, clean cards with white space?  It was hard for me to leave the white space, but I liked them when I was all done! :)

 

Each stem is stamped in Lemon Lime Twist ink, then the flower image is stamped (left to right) with Lovely Lipstick ink, Pineapple Punch ink and Grapefruit Grove ink.  I used the thick Whisper White Note cards.. they are GREAT for these clean and simple cards.

Easter Treat Box or Baby Shower Favor!

 I started this project thinking I was going to make Easter Candy Treat Boxes, but as I was creating them and grabbing pink and blue ink and cardstock, I thought, wow, these would make adorable Baby Shower favors or Gender Reveal party treats! What do you think?

The adorable bunny is found in the Stampin' UP! set called A Good Day.

The Clear Tiny Treat Boxes are from Stampin' Up! and assemble in 10 seconds or less. So easy to create cute little acetate box treats with these!  Find them on pg 195 of the current annual catalog, or, here online. You don't even need adhesive to assemble the boxes!

I stuffed some Sweet Soiree Shreddie in each box, then filled with Easter Candy treats.

 

 

Above: I stamped the bunny from "A Good Day" stamp set in Marina Mist Stampin' UP! ink on Whisper White and punched it with the 1-1/4" circle punch.  Then I punched a piece of Marina Mist cardstock with the 1-3/8" scallop circle punch and then layered them both onto a silver metallic doily!  The box is tied up with 3/8" Silver Metallic edge white ribbon.

Below: I stamped the bunny from "A Good Day" stamp set in Marina Mist Stampin' UP! ink on Whisper White and punched it with the 1" circle punch.  Then I punched a piece of Pink Pirouette cardstock with the 1-1/4" scallop circle punch.  I stamped another image from A Good Day in Marina Mist, and punched it with the 1-3/8" scallop circle punch and layered them all together with Snail adhesive.  I layered all of those onto a Pink Pirouette banner piece die cut from the Petals and More framelits!  The box is tied up with 1/2" Powder Pink ribbon.

 

A Good Day stamp set is very versatile and so fun to layer with circle punches and scalloped circle punches!

Today's handmade card idea features Springtime Foils paper colored with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers, and layered with Copper Foil paper and Soft Suede cardstock.  The pretty little stamped flower accent is from the Petal Palette stamp set and also colored with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin' Blends markers.

I created this card one day last month when I was stamping with Cindee... she designed this gorgeous card and had all the parts ready to go and I loved creating it!!  I have all the dimensions for this Fun Fold card listed in the photos below for you.

 

TIP!

Before die cutting the pretty lattice piece, adhere some Multipurpose Adhesive to your cardstock, THEN run it with the Petals & More thinlit die through the Big Shot, and then just peel off the paper backing and it's ready to stick to your project! Super easy!  It's like having a gorgeous decorative paper sticker!

TIP!

After adhering the die cut to the strip of Soft Suede cardstock, insert the end of the Soft Suede cardstock piece into the Pretty Label punch as shown and then punch the end.. look at the great scalloped end result!!  This is how it looks with a 1" wide piece of cardstock, but you can try it with other widths as well.

Stampin' Blends markers (see them all here) are an amazing way to add color to this paper, or, leave it with the Rose Gold and white images.. either way.. it's gorgeous!

As I've mentioned in my Stampin' Blends videos, I like to add yellow (Daffodil Delight) to my leaves before adding Old Olive.  I think it helps to lighten the leaves, add a little bit of "sun kissed" effect, and also helps tie in with the colors of the flowers.

Tutti-Frutti bowl of strawberries

  My heart is so happy when I look at this darling note card!!  Cindee designed this card and I made it at her house using the Fruit Basket stamp set from the Tutti Frutti suite in the 2018 Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog! (see pgs 28 & 29 or HERE online)

Anything red, white and blue just makes me smile, and this card is no exception!  I love it! 

We stamped the bowl in Dapper Denim ink but stamped off the solid image once on our grid sheet then stamped the outline over the solid bowl.  As you'll see below, we masked the bowl and started stamping strawberries. Then we stamped extra strawberries (Real Red and Lemon Lime Twist) on scrap Whisper White cardstock and punched them out with the strawberry punch from the Fruit Basket Itty Bitty Fruit punch pack.

  

 Mini Stampin' Dimensionals just seem to be made for these itty bitty punched fruit pieces!  Use your Paper Piercing tool to easily place them on your card!

 

The Night of Navy Gingham ribbon just makes this card PERFECT!!  I love it! Doesn't it just get you in the mood for a summer picnic or at least a great fruit salad!?

 

A strip of Tutti Frutti paper is the perfect touch for the top of the card.  It's layered onto Real Red cardstock and onto a top fold 4-1/4" square Thick Whisper White card.

Alternate Paper Pumpkin Ideas with Springtime Foils paper

I stamped the thanks sentiment from "All Things Thanks" in Memento black ink on Whisper White cardstock, and die cut them with the Stitched Shape framelits for the inserts of this card design.

For these cards, I colored some of the flowers on the Springtime Foils paper with my Light and Dark Pink Pirouette Stampin' Blends markers, then punched some out with my 2" circle punch.  I cut others out with my Paper Snips.  I used Copper Foil paper (above) and my Starburst punch for layering with the 2" circle. 

For the cards below, I used the Starburst punch and Powder Pink cardstock to layer with the 2" punched circle.

Mini Pizza Box Christmas Gift Idea

 

If you joined me here yesterday you saw the results of our girls crafting day "Be Merry rosette ornaments" creations, and today I'm sharing a fun thing you might like to do with them.. put one on a Mini Pizza Box for a great little neighbor gift, teacher appreciation gift, co-worker gift, etc.!

 

 

This is one of the 7 projects we created last month at our Luv 2 Stamp Group event.  We made the rosette ornaments from the Be Merry kit and hot glued them to a pizza box!  It's the perfect little container for some holiday candy, treats or gift card!

We found that a hot glue gun was a great help in securing all these layers together.

 

In addition to the contents of the Be Merry ornament kit, we added a Foil Snowflake, punched circle from the Quilted Christmas designer paper stack, a stamped greeting from the Christmas Happiness stamp set, tag border from the Labels to Love set, and the Everyday Label punch. We also added an adorable stitched felt red star from the Stitched Felt Embellishments package, topped off with the Quilted Christmas 1/4" ribbon bow.

Final touches of gold: Faceted Gold Gems and Gold Metallic enamel shaped stars.

Painted Autumn Sunflower Note Cards

 

I think this was one of my favorite cards that we created on the Stamp & Scrap cruise last month!   It was designed by Jessica Hill.  I love this sunflower card featuring the Painted Harvest stamp set and leaf punch bundle!!

 

 

The thing that I feel makes this card super special is the "frame" die cut with the Layering Square framelits and the Stitched Shape Framelits!!  Isn't it cool!?  If you are unfamiliar with those framelits, CLICK HERE to watch my video.

 

 

After stamping the Sunflower in So Saffron and Crushed Curry ink (Early Espresso for the center) on Very Vanilla cardstock, we cut them out with Paper Snips and then added Clear Wink Of Stella to them... soooooooo pretty!!  The leaves were punched with Old Olive cardstock and Vellum.  I added them to the back of the flower and then put it onto my card.

 

 

Don't you think that stitched shape square frame is just amazing? What a GREAT design element!

 

 

Oh, and if you make a boo-boo while stamping your greeting on the note card...  ahem.. just grab a Very Vanilla scrap, stamp it again, and punch it out with the Everyday Label Punch (pg 10 of the 2017 Holiday Catalog from Stampin' UP!).

Counting My Blessings Card

 

I hope you enjoy this beautiful fall card idea, featuring the Stampin' UP! "Count My Blessings" stamp set, Leaf Punch, Layered Leaves embossing folder and lovely fall color palette including Gold Foil Paper.

 

 

I received a very similar card from one of my Luv 2 Stamp Group teammates, Melanie Hockin, and I decided to use the idea to create swap cards for the stamping / crafting cruise we went on last week!!  Thank you Melanie for the great idea!

  

 

There were over a dozen different swaps we could participate in on the cruise and I participated in 2 of them.  Most swaps had 16 participants.  Jenn, our hostess,  had it down to a science and lined us up and we swapped really quickly!

Above: you can see 2 different versions of this card - one with Gold Glimmer paper leaves and one with Gold Foil leaves. Ultimately a I went with the Gold Foil leaves for my swap.

TIP! I actually cut the Gold Foil squares, then punched the 2 leaves from the middle of the foil from square :) to maximize my supplies :)

The greeting from Count My Blessings (pg 50 of the 2017 Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog) was stamped in Island Indigo on Very Vanilla cardstock that I die cut with the Stitched Shape framelits.  I also stamped the acorn image from the same set in Crumb Cake ink over the greeting, and added a gold enamel shape heart to each card.  It's layered onto the Gold foil paper.

 

 

The background is embossed with the Layered Leaves embossing folder and Very Vanilla cardstock, layered onto Crumb Cake and Island Indigo.  The last color I used was Cajun Craze for some of the punched leaves.

Daisy Punch Sponging Tip

 

Taking another short break from fall and Halloween... and sharing a fun tip for you when you stamp the Daisy punch!

 

 

 I think Cindee taught me this tip...

Stamp the Daisy Delight daisy image first, then sponge ink in a circular motion onto the stamped image with a sponge dauber, then punch.  It's such an easy way to add color to the daisy!!

Then, for added dimension, it's fun to curl the petals with a bone folder, add Wink of Stella, and layer 2 or 3 punched images together, then add the Faceted Gem to the center!!

Voila!

 

 

I added 2 of those punched daisies to my Whisper White note card and also added a strip of Daisy Delight paper to the left edge, then trimmed it with some Daffodil Delight 1/4" Double-Stitched ribbon.  Each daisy center featured a gorgeous gold Faceted Gem center!

I stamped thanks a bunch from the Wood Words stamp set (pg 159) onto Wood Textures woodgrain paper and punched it out with the 1-3/4" circle punch and I also stamped the outline image from the Label me Pretty set (pg 27) before punching with the Pretty Label punch.   Save 10%!! You can see how much dimension is added when curling the petals with the bone folder!!

Glossy Background Daisy Card

 

I recently learned how to make this GORGEOUS Glossy Paper background, created with Stampin' UP! reinkers, Stampin' Spritzer, and a Wink of Stella pen!! Cindee taught me how to make this fun background, and we created 2 similar cards with this technique, both of them featuring the amazing Daisy Delight stamp and Daisy punch!  (save 10% and buy them together in a bundle from Stampin' Up!)

 

 

These are the 2 cards we created with the glossy paper background technique.  The one on the right also features the same technique for the daisy and the Garden Trellis embossing folder on the Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.  The one on the left features a sponged daisy and the Oh My Stars embossing folder on the Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.

 

 

 Both cards are finished off with the beautiful Lemon Lime Twist ombre ribbon, and clear Faceted Gems.

 Sponge Daubers are the key to creating the beautiful blended color on the daisy punch above!

I loved creating these cards with Cindee!! When she blogged these cards, she included a video tutorial. You can watch it here if you'd like to see how she created this background and the daisy. 

 

To create the glossy paper background, you'll need glossy paper, reinkers (ink refills), Stampin' Spritzer or small spray bottle with water, and a Clear Wink of Stella pen.  Read below for the instructions:

 

 

 It's really so easy and you can create these backgrounds in ANY color combo. 

For these cards we used Soft Sky, Lemon Lime Twist and Dapper Denim Stampin' UP! ink refills, the Stampin' Spritzer and Clear Wink of Stella pen.

After I cut up my piece of glossy background paper, and used part of it on a card, I used the other part to stamp the Daisy Delight image in Memento Black ink, then punched them out with the daisy punch. SO pretty!

 

 

 Be sure to slightly curl the petals of your daisy using your bone folder for a lovely dimensional look!

 

 I wanted the daisy to really stand out on this card, so I layered it onto a Whisper White circle that had been embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder.. really a fun touch!
