April 8, 2017:  Demonstrators attending a Stampin' Up! OnStage event will see the new 2017-2018 catalog!!

April 10, 2017 - 1pm MT: Demonstrators are allowed to share sneak peeks of new catalog items they saw at the OnStage event!

April 10, 2017 - 1pm MT:  the new 2017-2018 catalog will be available online for DEMONSTRATORS ONLY

April 10, 2017 - 1pm MT:  the RETIRING LISTS for customers and demonstrators will be released - watch my blog (here) for that list as soon as I can get it published for you!

April 10 - May 31, 2017: Retiring products are available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST, so don't delay! click here

May 31, 2017: last day to order from the Annual catalog and Occasions catalog - for items still in stock.

June 1, 2017: first day for customers to order from the NEW 2017-2018 catalog.

Each year when the new annual catalog comes out (June 1, 2016 is the next one) there will be 5 new In Colors introduced, and that is the FUN news.. but the sad news is, that means 5 colors WILL RETIRE!!

The RETIRING In Colors are shown below.. these ink pads, cardstock packs, ink refills, and In Color Accessories will only be available while supplies last.  In past years, once they are announced on the Retiring List, they have sold out QUICKLY!

I embossed each 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White piece of cardstock with the Confetti embossing folder in my Big Shot (see it on pg 5 of the 2016 Occasions catalog), and then stamped 2 of the flowers right on the cardstock.  I stamped an extra flower on a separate piece of cardstock, cut it out with my Paper Snips, and mounted it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals to raise it up.  The leaf on each card is stamped and die cut in Mossy Meadow ink/cardstock, using the Botanical Blooms stamp set and Botanical Builder Framelit set.

 

 

The last finishing touch was to color the raised flower with the Wink of Stella Glitter pen to give it a pop of shimmer and shine!

Wendy asked me to be a part of this blog hop highlighting retiring products with creations by a few of the Luv 2 Stamp Group members, and I am excited to be a part of this hop!

Below: my first project features the Tag a Bag tag kit and Glimmer Brads, both on the retiring accessories list.  These tags are great on cards, gifts, as mini banners, or you can use them as bookmarks too!

Below:  the Tag a Bag Bags are cute when decorated with these tags as well!  The image stamped on the tag is from the Tag It stamp set, also retiring this year.  The bag is embellished with accessories from the Tag a Bag Tag kit and also some retiring Coastal Cabana ruffled ribbon.

Below:  the retiring products on this cute note card include:  Gingham Garden Washi Tape, and the small Heart Punch, on a Whisper White Note Cards.  Seriously.. how can this little heart punch retire!?  Eeek!

Below:  The retiring Lattice Big Shot die is featured on this card.  To make this card, die cut the opening in the front of your folded Whisper White card first, using the Window Frame Collection framelits, then die cut Whisper White cardstock with the Lattice Die and place that piece of lattice in the opening.  Place any color carstock behind the opening. Isn't this pretty!?  I used Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock behind the opening and finished off the card with Black Chevron Ribbon and a stamped tag punched out with the Extra-Large Oval punch, layered on a Deco Labels Collection die cut.

Below:  I know I've shared this card before but these leaves are SO pretty and I can't believe this set is retiring, so I wanted to repost this card.  I die cut the card with the Circle Card Thinlits, and stamped it with the Gently Falling stamp set.

As you know the Retiring Stamp set list and Retiring Accessory list went live at 12:00am Monday morning, and several items have already sold out because all retiring products are available “While Supplies Last”. Stampin Up Retiring List info and my Ebay Story

 

If you are wondering about info for the NEW Stampin' Up! Catalog and the products that will be retiring from our current catalog, I have the dates for you right here:

• APRIL 21:  RETIRING Products from the current annual Stampin' Up! catalog will be announced on April 21, 2014   .. CHECK back here for that list on the 21st
• JUNE 2: NEW Stampin' Up! catalog products for customer ordering begins at Noon (MT) on Monday, June 2 (reserve yours here)
• JUNE 4:  Last day to order any of the retiring products - but all retiring products are only WHILE SUPPLIES LAST, so don't wait til June!

The only products that we already know of that will be on the Retiring List are the 2012/2014 In Colors.  VIEW THEM / ORDER THEM HERE.

 

As I mentioned above, all retiring products are "while supplies last", so don't wait too long to order... in fact, if there are accessories or 2012-2014 In Color products that you want, order them now, or be online on April 21st to order.

I have an Ebay story for you ... When Stampin' Up! first annouced the "In Color" program several years ago, I had an extra set of retiring In Color reinkers.  Since I do not keep retiring products, I put those 5 In Color reinkers on ebay shortly after they retired, and to my surprise, they sold for $99 !!!!  I think Stampin' Up! customers did not quite understand that when the In Colors retired, they really retired.. and people wanted those reinkers!!  SO, why do I tell you this?  Get your retiring In Color products NOW so that you don't end up paying crazy ebay prices for retired items in June!  Just think.. that person could have saved $84 by purchasing the reinkers from a demonstrator while they were still available instead of buying them on ebay!

I have two projects to share with you featuring Retiring Stampin' Up! items.

My first project features a stamp set and a background stamp that I'm really sad to see leave us: the VINTAGE VOGUE stamp set, on pg 147 in the current catalog (item 117690 or 118598), and the MEDALLION background stamp on pg 149, item 115223.

I stamped the Medallion stamp in Chocolate Chip ink on white carstock, cut it out, then cut a slit in it and ran it through the crimper, then pleated it using Sticky Strip to make the "ruffle". Another retiring product I'm sad to see go is the 5/8" Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon!! (#124327)... (hey, it's even on clearance!!) :)

..and my 2nd project showcases a fabulous Stampin' Up! accessory that I am SO SAD to see leave us.. the ELEGANT TRIO stencil set!!! It's on pg 234, item #118262. 

This Elegant Trio Stencil card also features the retiring VINTAGE VOGUE stamp set on pg 147, item 117690 or 118598.  I used the "emboss resist" technique on the large stenciled flower..  sponged through the stencil with Regal Rose Craft ink, embossed in clear embossing powder, then heated.  THEN I sponged the image in the upper left corner with the stencil and Soft Suede ink, but it did not cover where the flower was already embossed (thus, emboss resist - see a video here for that technique).

And yet another RETIRING ACCESSORY on this card.. the lovely CERTAINLY CELERY 5/8" SATIN RIBBON, #117288.

Say Goodbye!! Retiring Product Control Freak Blog Hop

 It's that sad time of year to say goodbye to our beloved Stampin' Up! Retiring sets and accessories.. our blog tour today will help you remember these delightful and favorite old friends.

My first sample features one of my all time favorite sets, FIFTH AVENUE FLORAL.  You will find this on pg 110 in the current catalog, item #113734.  I used the watercolor float technique on this sample. The color really pops against the Crumb Cake card.

 Next up, My very favorite retiring accessory (sooooooooo sad this is going)... The ELEGANT TRIO DECOR STENCIL set.  These stencils are on pg 234 of the current catalog, item #118262.  Such a great deal at $9.95 for the 3 stencils!!  I sponged color with the flower stencil with Regal Rose and Cherry Cobbler ink and a Stampin' Sponge.

and lastly, this sample features the Retiring BEVELED WINDOWPANES, on page 198 of the current catalog, item #121881, and the lovely Retiring Paisley Petals Designer Paper, on page 184, item #122367.
