The base of the cupcake is made with the Big Shot and the Perfect Setting die (item 115961, pg 209). The ribbons on the top of the cupcake are:

Pretty in Pink 1-1/4"' Striped Grosgrain (item 119775, pg 191) and Very Vanilla 5/8" Grosgrain (item 109055, pg 191).   The designer buttons for the center are found on pg 186.

My Digital Studio MEETS Simply Adorned Charms!

Hmmmmm really???  My Digital Studio and Simply Adorned Charms together???? YOU BET!!

I've been having an absolute BLAST preparing for my Simply Adorned Charm class in April !!  check it out.. here are a few finished samples:

All of the backgrounds were printed in MDS !!!!!

SOOO.. YOU ARE ASKING..    What does My Digital Studio have to do with this??

  WELL... I designed and printed out "backdround sheets" in MDS and then cut them to size and stamped a focal point!!!  ALL OF THOSE BACKGROUNDS ON EVERY CHARM ARE PRINTED FROM MDS! :)  I used my Epson R1900 Photo printer and Espon paper for best results.

BELOW: Here are the background MDS sheets all cut to 1-1/2" x 2 for the large charms!

Won't this class be so fun and easy !!??

Below.. I used Rub Ons for "Friends Forever" and used a Window Sheet on top of the "L"... fun to mix and match different media!

Control Freaks Blog Tour - Valentine's and Hearts!

I'm sending you a WHOLE LOT OF LOVE today with this post!!  WELCOME to the January Control Freaks Blog Tour !!!

The first project I have to share with you is a little candy wrapper for peppermint sticks... Just use the larger of the tags on the TWO TAGS DIE, some Pretty in Pink Cardstock and the Big Shot and VOILA.. you have a quick and easy Valentine's gift!  It's rolled with the new I {Love} Love jumbo wheel (item #117084 - Occasions Mini Catalog) and real red innk.

 This project is a combination of ideas from Shelli's sample at Leadership and a swap I got from fellow demonstrator:  Suzy Halford.

Rita.. I hope you like it.. we'll be doing this at your workshop on Saturday! :)

The "friend" heart stamp (from I {heart} Hearts) is stamped in Real Red on Whisper White, punched out with the FULL HEART PUNCH (#113693), and LAYERED onto the Real Red heart die cut with the "Scalloped Heart of Hearts" embosslit die (#117332 - Occasions Mini Catalog)

 

My next idea featured the FABULOUS SIMPLY ADORNED line of Jewelry from Stampin' Up!

  
The necklace above features the 1-1/2" x 2" Rectangle Charm (item #116799).

The bracelet showcases 2 each of the small 5/8" circle charms (item #117349) and the small 5/8" Square Charms (item #118476).  You will find all of these items in the Occasions Mini Catalog on pg 28.

 
I stamped and punched out 1/2" circles and cut out 1/2" squares to fill in the charms.

The back side of my necklace charm is not Valentine's-ish, but I thought I'd share it anyway:

Stampin' Up! Convention 2009 - update 6

One of the things I'm most excited about in our ever expanding line of craft offerings is our new Simply Adorned Charms and chains.. these are so fabulous and will be available on Sept. 1st!!  The charms come in 3 sizes and you can switch out the stamped insert to coordinate with what you are wearing!!
