Today I thought I'd share some Sweet little Thank You notes featuring the Bandstand Simply Scrappin' Kit from Stampin' Up!
Bandstand Simply Scrappin' kit on pg 167 of the Annual Catalog #126928, or HERE ONLINE
I love 4x4 cards for getting the maximum use of 12x12 cardstock. CLICK HERE for a quick tip for cutting your 12x12 cardstock into four 4x4 cards.
I always use the medium size Stampin' Up! envelopes to mail these.. it costs more to mail a square envelope so I just stick with regular envelopes (#107301)
The focal point here features the Bestys' Blossoms large flower stamp punched out with the Blossom Punch! pretty tricky!
And do you love the little "thanks" center? that is stamped with the Lovely LIttle Labels set and punched out with the Little Labels Punch Pack!
STEP IT UP DETAIL: Did you notice the paper piercing at the edge? Cute added little bonus detail done with the paper piercer and mat.
And
a quick tip for those trying to punch the perfect flags using a Square
Punch... when you feed your strips through the square punch, line them
up as shown below, then punch:
Do you have the new Spring catalog yet?? wowza friends... AMAZING!! if you don't have one, email me so I can get one in the mail to you!
Today I have a quick
VIDEO TUTORIAL FOR YOU ... you will learn how to color in the beautiful Swallowtail butterfly stamp and how to flatten the new Soda Pop Tops to use as embellishments on your card!

I am seriously trying to get caught up on blogging the remainder of the projects from our October Luv 2 Stamp Group meeting. Yep, I DID SAY October.. ack! So far behind! :)
We made three 4-1/4"x5-1/2" cards and three 4"x4" cards.
These two 4x4 cards were my favorites:
Above, the designer paper from this Simply Scrappin' Kit is punched out with teh 1" square punch (pg 183, #124094) and the white cardstock is punched out with the Postage Stamp Punch, (pg 182, #122344).
I can't remember if I've shared this tip... but for the small greeting above, i wanted to give options in the class, so i mounted FOUR small greetings on one clear blog, and each person stamped all four and punched out the ones they wanted to use.
TIP: mount 4 greetings on one block ... not only does this give you options, but it helps keep the block from tipping over with just one small greeting on the block!
Punches used: Word Window (pg 183, #119857) & Modern Label (pg 183 #119849)
The easiest way to make the "pleats" on the shirt is to put your 4"x4" piece of Whisper White cardstock onto the Simply Scored Board and score at every 1/4" between 1-1/4" and 2-3/4" as shown below:
I cut the Shirt Collar pieces out of Whisper White cardstock by just cutting triangle shapes:
and the Bow Tie was punched out from the Pennant Builder Punch:
The Bow Tie and Cumberbun use the printed DSP from the Razzleberry Splash Simply Scrappin' Kit.
The 3 buttons are actually brads from the Vintage Trinkets pack.
By the way... did you know that Cumberbun can either be CUMBERBUN or CUMBERBUND? I didn't either until I was typing up the tutorial for this class.
Here are the framelits and Simply Scrappin Kit pieces used on these cards:
And a quick tip for those trying to punch the perfect flags using a Square Punch... when you feed your strips through the square punch, line them up as shown below, then punch:
Stay tuned tomorrow for the 4x4 cards we made from this kit.

I decided to tweak it a little when I got home.. I added some designer paper and self adhesive die cuts from the Afternoon Daydream Simply Scrappin' Kit, (pg 167, #126927).
I used some of the self adhesive die cuts in the Simply Scrappin' Kit to decorate inside this card.
One of the retiring accessories from Stampin' Up! this season is the very lovely Tea Time Simply Scrappin' Kit. I enjoyed making some cards with this kit... the card below was for my nephew and his wife who just had a new baby girl..the colors for the shower and baby's room are green and pink, so I thought this was great paper to use. The "family" stamp and the scripture stamp are in retired sets that I've kept. .I thought they went well on this card.
OR view it on PAGE 21 of the Stampin' Up! Occasions mini catalog.

Idea from Shelli Gardner's workshop of a lifetime posts.
The Guest Book kit has Very Vanilla TEXTURED cardstock in it... steciling on textured cardstock comes out really neat:
