Wow.. I was sooooo excited to see this idea shared on an email list last week.. Jackie Topa suggested using the Shaker Frame circles and these beautiful Vanilla ribbon flowers for a wreath!

Here is the whole card I made:

TO MAKE THIS CARD:

I peeled the largest circle off of the Shaker Frames ring and placed it onto a die cut Whisper White Floral Frames die cut.  I added 2 yellow leaves from the Sale a Bration "Happy Hello" simply sent kit, added a tied Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon bow, and then mounted it all onto a folded white card embossed with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder.

I think you could pretty easily use any of the largest 3 circles from the Shaker frames for this project.

After dyeing them with Calypso Coral ink, I colored them with 3 different markers:  Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, and Cherry Cobbler, then i spritzed them with the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz... they are so pretty in person!

 I was trying to get the feeling of this rose from my garden... I need to add more yellow.. but it's close enough :)

 

 Tip: before adding these flowers to your project, be sure to trim away the excess netting between the flowers so it doesn't show.

I wish the shimmer would show up in the photos.. .i tried.

I saw a video by Cathy Parlitsis (see it here) and was inspired to make my own version of her flowers.  They are SO fun and easy so I wanted to share my version with you.

I used one of the frames to die cut the "hello friend" which was a little greeting I created in My Digital studio.  I added a green die cut flower from the Blossom Builders package and stamped the center from the Mixed Bunch set.

One of the presentations I did at our May Luv 2 Stamp Group meeting was about different ways to use the Wonderful new SMOOCH SPRITZ.

TIPS: When using your Smooch Spritz.... SHAKE IT REALLY WELL before EACH use, and place your item in the COLOR CATCHER in an UPRIGHT position, then hold your Smooch Spritz in an upright position, too, while spraying.  Short "blasts"/spritzs seem to work best. 

I think the Smooch Spritz is wonderful paired up with the PRESTO PATTERNS PAPER, found on pg 15 of the Summer mini catalog.

Presto Patterns DSP from Stampin' Up!

Don't OVERLOOK the fabulous new Presto Patterns DSP on pg 15 of the Summer Mini catalog.... wow... this stuff is soooooooooo cool !!!!!

At first glance, it looks like black and white patterned paper in the catalog.. but it's not.. it's a'white on white' design that magically appears as you add color to the paper!!

Here is a Scrapbook page I made using some fabulous photos of my darling Grandma... these were taken in 1926.

These red, white and Going Gray cards feature backgrounds made with My Digital Studio using an image from the "TORN EDGES" stamp set in MDS, and stamped focal points and accents. (see yesterday's post for more info). They are sprayed with the Silver Foil Smooch Spritz.

Today's card features the GOLD GLOW Smooch Spritz:

I printed the background for this card using MY DIGITAL STUDIO using the "Torn Edges" stamp set in MDS, then ran it through the Big Shot with the NEW Square Lattice Embossing Folder (item 119976, pg 24 Summer Mini Catalog), and then I spritzed it withthe GOLD GLOW SMOOCH SPRITZ. 

Doesn't the embossing folder and gold spray give it a neat look?  This is on Whisper White Cardstock! :) Combined with a piece of an old book, and Going Gray satin ribbon.. this is a really unique card.

Here is how the card started.. I printed random MDS images onto 8-1/2"x11" Whisper White cardstock:

then I cut them into 1/4ths and used them to make 20 cards!

My Digital Studio sure has opened up a whole new avenue in my stamping world ... I love it!
