I love this new background stamp called Wildflower Meadow..

check out how lovely it is when "watercolored".

The new Wildflower Meadow background stamp can be viewed on pg 83 of the NEW Stampin' Up! catalog!  I prefer my background stamps in Wood mount, but you have your choice of wood or clear.  If you select Clear Mount, you'll need the "F" clear block, #118483, on pg 196 in the NEW Stampin' Up! catalog.

DIRECTIONS FOR FAUX WATERCOLOR TECHNIQUE:

Step 1:  Use Stampin' Write markers directly on the rubber of the stamp

Step 2:  mist the inked rubber lightly with a Stampin' Spritzer filled with water

Step 3:  stamp image onto watercolor paper

Step 4: LIGHTLY mist the watercolor paper with the Stampin' Spritzer filled with water

Did you see that I colored the Very Vintage Button?

I dipped it in the Versamark pad, then into Tangerine Tango embossing powder and heated it!  The technique is just like embossing Vintage Brads here.

NEW!! Swallowtail Spring Catalog Stamp!

 When I saw the new Spring Catalog I knew this butterfly was at the top of my list!  This is a quick and simple card featuring the Swallowtail stamp found on pg 18 of the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog!

After stamping the butterfly in Riding Hood Red on designer paper from the new Flower Fair Simply Scrappin' kit (pg 31 Spring catalog), I sponged in some color with sponge daubers and 3 colors of ink.  I think I'll work on a video tutorial for you today ... you'll love how quickly this card goes together!

I embellished this card with the FRIEND image from the new Amazing Family stamp set (pg 7 in the Spring catalog) and the new Soda Pop Tops found on pg 24 in the Spring catalog.The stamps i used with the Soda Pop Tops are coming up as a FREE ITEM during Sale a Bration.. it's a set called Madison Avenue! Too fun!

Stampin' Trimmer UPDATE

Stampin' UP! has been working on the Stampin' Trimmer for a long time and is excited for this new cutting tool, exclusive to Stampin' Up! We don't have any new information yet, but we are working with the supplier to solidify the arrival date and a date that we will begin taking orders.

It is on its way. I will keep you informed of the progress for delivery and let you know as soon as the trimmer arrives. Keep checking back here often!
