I was packing up my Hello December album to take to our recent Luv 2 Stamp Group event and I decided that the album cover NEEDED to be decorated.. so I pulled out my Star Stencil and my Tree Punch and in a matter of about 10 minutes it was done!

Tutorial for the star stenciled cover is shown below at the bottom of this post.

Our Bennett Family 2014 Hello December album will be the keeper of the memories for our Elf on the Shelf photos.  Jason named our Elf "Carlito" .. so we'll be taking pix of Carlito each day and putting them in our album! Need Elf on the Shelf Ideas? Click Here to view my Pinterest Board!

I used the Trim the Tree Paper Stack and my Tree Punch (both from the Holiday catalog) and added paper trees to the cover.. complete with punched out stars for tree toppers!!  Did you miss my previous post with info on how to make the smaller trees?  Check it out here.

The star punch is from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack and works perfectly as a tree topper for these trees!  I punched the stars out of the "Under the Tree" Designer paper (also from the Holiday catalog).  See all the products used at the Bottom of this post.. click any item to go right to my online store for easy ordering.

 

As you can see.. stenciling the cover is really easy with the Star Mask (stencil) and Stampin' Up! Classic ink and a sponge dauber! Use Washi Tape to hold down the mask while stenciling.

I LOVE this card, and so did my Stamp Class Students!

I received the idea in a swap from the amazing Jo Anne Hewins!

The supplies and technique are simple simon... but deliver quite the Wow Factor!

The STAR OF THE SHOW is the Wetlands stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Supporting actors are the Square Framelits and Stampin' Sponges!

I cut a square with the square framelits in a piece of the Coaster board (pg 156, #129392), and used that as a stencil to sponge Baked Brown Sugar and Coastal Cabana ink onto the Whisper White cardstock!  Then stamp the images from the Wetlands set with Baked Brown Sugar ink... how easy and fun is that!?

Fabulous NEWSPRINT DSP from Stampin' Up!

This new pack of Designer Paper from Stampin' Up!  called NEWSPRINT is SOOO interesting to work with ... I love it!!  GREAT Job, Stampin' Up! coming up with this one !! ;)

I stenciled the flower using the ELEGANT TRIO Stencils, found in the Definitely Decorative Catalog, pg 34.

Luv 2 Stamp Group - Stamp a Rama June event, part 1

One of the activities I offer my direct recruits and our Power Team (supervisors and above) is a quarterly Stamp A Rama event - it's a shoebox swap.  We each bring a finished card or 3-d project with enough supplies for the rest of us to go around and make each project.  We always have a theme, usually related to the current mini catalog or holiday. 

Enjoy these projects that my wonderful gals brought to our June Stamp A Rama.

Below, project by Vinnie... I LOVED the Stencil image on GLOSSY cardstock.. wow.. so yummy !

Below, Joy showed us the "tile technique" using a Score Pal, you can also use the SU! Fiskars cutter and your bone folder to make the 1/2" grid of score lines, THEN stamp your image on top. Looks like tiles!

The Guest Book kit has Very Vanilla TEXTURED cardstock in it... steciling on textured cardstock comes out really neat:

After sponging thru the stencil with Cherry Coblber ink, I stamped the script stamp from the CHARMING stamp set (item code: 116519) in Basic Gray ink right over the stencil.

Vintage Ornaments II stencil card

One of the cards we made at Linda's workshop was this one, using the Vintage Ornaments stencils in the Stampin' Up! Definitely Decorative Catalog! 

We sponged Rich Razzleberry using the ornament portion and Platinum Shimmer paint sponged over that using the detail portion of the stencil - (the stencil is on pg 29 of the Definitely Decorative catalog).  CLICK HERE to view the catalog if you don't have one.
