I hope you have had fun following me on our Alaskan Cruise Adventure this week! I've been posting from Seattle and the Cruise ship whenever I can!!  You can see those posts HERE.

While we are on the ship, one of the Stampin' UP! activities is a card swap.  I wanted to share the card I made, and I hope you like it!  It features the Healing Hugs stamp set and several other fun Stampin' UP! products!

 

I really love the new Delicate Lace edgelits from Stampin' UP!.. that's what I used for the lovely white lacy detail on these cards.  You can read more about them HERE.

When I made multiples of a card (which is almost always), I die cut, score, stamp, and fussy cut everything I need first, then assemble.

How I stamped my Petal Palette Swap Cards for OnStage

 

If you ever have to make a LOT of cards, like the 100 Petal Palette cards I made for the upcoming Stampin' Up! OnStage event in Las Vegas, you might enjoy the tips I have for you today, including the video!! 

 

 

I created a top fold card with Thick Whisper White cardstock, cut at 4-1/4" x 8-3/4" and scored at 5-1/2".  Then added the 3"x4" piece of Petal Passion designer paper to the top section.  The Petal Palette flowers are stamped in Memento Black ink onto Whisper White and colored with Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist sponge daubers.  See the whole process in my VIDEO BELOW!

 

 Swap Making Process:

• I like to cut and score all my cardstock and designer paper first
• Die cut framelits next
• Stamp images
• Color Images
• Add ribbon
• Assemble

I know you've seen me stamp and color these Petal Palette flowers with Watercolor Pencils, Stampin' Blends markers and even Brusho Colour Crystals, but when making 100 cards I needed this to be quick.. so I chose to use the Sponge Daubers!

Foxy Friends Kitty Card - Love to You!

 

I had fun creating this stamped kitty note card for a recent Luv 2 Stamp Group / Luvly Stampers group swap!  I used my sweet Foxy Friends stamp set and the lovely Affectionately Yours designer paper. 

 

 

One thing that is so striking about this Affectionately Yours paper is the copper foil accents on 2 of the sheets.  Do you see the pretty shimmery copper embossing on the lower 1/2 of the card?

 

 

I combined images from the Thoughtful Banners and Perfectly Wrapped stamp sets to stamp "love to you" and used the Heart Border punch to punch out Watermelon Wonder hearts.  They are easily applied to the card with Multipurpose glue or the Fine Tip glue pen.

 

The final accent on my Crumb Cake Note Card is the Flirty Flamingo ruched ribbon.. so pretty!  And it ties knots and bows like a dream!

 This fun Foxy Friends stamp set can create so many different animals!!  Fox, Racoon, Kitty, Skunk, Reindeer.. what else do you see?

Occasions Catalog 3x3 Sampler Frame

 

Please enjoy my Spring Heart & Flower Framed Collage!! 

This fun project was a "swap" I did with my Luv 2 Stamp Group - about a dozen of us each made 9 "squares" measuring 3"x3" and everyone sent them to me.  I "swapped" them and sent each person back 9 squares.  Kind of fun, because everyone got 9 different squares! :)

 

I created a fun spring home decor collage frame with my squares!

Our Instructions for the swap:  All squares needed to use either a heart/Valentine or flower theme from the 2016 Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog.  Each square needed to measure 3x3 and needed to be on Blushing Bride cardstock.  This ensures that they all look great in a collage.

 

 

I used a 12"x 12" white frame from a craft store, and I tried out my framed collage sampler on 3 different backgrounds.. all of the paper backgrounds are from the Birthday Bouquet designer paper pack.. which one do you like best?

Project Life by Stampin' UP! Bookmarks with Fuse Tool

 

We are home from San Diego...  My hubby and son and I flew to San Diego last week for a week of R&R as well as the brand new Stampin' Up! OnStage events on Friday night and all day Saturday!  I'll have a little photo recap for you in a day or 2 but wanted to share this cute project with you that I took with me to swap with other Demonstrators..

One of the little projects I brought with me to San Diego to the Stampin' UP! OnStage event were these sweet little bookmarks!  I made them with Project Life cards from Stampin' UP! and clear bookmark sleeves (info at the bottom of this post).

I used the 2"x3" Project Life cards, trimmed down to 2-1/2" wide for these cute bookmarks.  They are inserted into a plastic bookmark sleeve, loaded up with cute Stampin' UP! sequins, then fused shut with the Project Life fuse tool.  I added all sorts of pretty ribbons and sequin trim at the top.

Yesterday was our Control Freaks lunchtime swap at the Stampin' UP! Convention and today I am sharing the 2nd card I traded with my Control Freak friends!

See yesterday's post for the other card I swapped with them.

I used lots of fun new Stampin' UP! products on this card.. the Fluttering embossing folder on the tag, the Tin of Cards stamp set on the circle, new black and white striped paper from the Neutrals paper stack, new small Bold Butterfly framelit, and the fun little squiggle stamp image also from the Tin of Cards set!

 One of my favorite touches on this card is the black pearls on the butterfly body. I just colored my Stampin' Up! pearl embellishments with a Black Sharpie marker!

Of course I also really love the embossed tag - I used the new 6x6 Fluttering Embossing Folder in my Big Shot to texturize it!

When I am stamping multiple cards, whether it be for a swap or lots of customer thank you cards, I always do all the pieces required for the whole card, then sit and assemble them.

So I made all the little round stamped embellishments, die cut all the butterflies, embossed all the tags, applied all the designer paper, and then assembled the cards.

Watercolor Wash Background Convention Swap

Today at the Stampin' UP! Convention, I am gathering with the Control Freaks group that I swap and blog hop with, and we are swapping cards at lunchtime at convention!  We are trading 2 cards each. This is one of the cards I'm trading with my fellow Control Freaks!

I used the super amazing Watercolor Wash background stamp on all of my cards and isn't it amazing how each one looks a little different? I used Daffodil Delight and Watermelon Wonder ink pad on each one, spritzing it with water and then stamping it onto wet Watercolor paper!

 I stamped the pretty flowers from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (pg 8 of the 2015-2016 Stampin' UP! catalog), punched them with the Pansy Punch (pg 167) and then just colored the centers with a Daffodil Delight marker.  The leaves are from the same set and I did a quick watercolor wash of Cucumber Crush on them before cutting them out.

I loved the pop of black from the layer of Basic Black cardstock AND the great 3/8" Stitched Satin Basic Black ribbon!

Birthday Blossoms Convention Swap Card

This week I'm away at the 2015 Stampin' UP! Convention in Salt Lake City and I'm sharing my convention swap cards with you!  I stamped 180 cards to take with me to swap with my fellow demonstrators!

When working on designs for my Stampin' Up! Convention Swap cards, I knew I wanted to stamp this design but wasn't sure about the color combo... I ended up making the one in the center with Wisteria Wonder, Cucumber Crush and Daffodil Delight.

I used the Birthday Blossoms stamp set for the stamped flowers.. to make it easy, I stamped them in black ink onto Wisteria Wonder cardstock and punched them out with my Pansy Punch.  I added a Daffodil Delight flower punched with the Petite Petals punch and then the super fun White Perfect Accent dots in the centers!

 The lovely Expressions Natural Elements wooden accents are glued to each of the punched banners.  Watch a video HERE for more info on the wooden elements.

Not sure if you can see it well in the photo, but for the leaves, I stamped them with Cucumber Crush ink, and then colored them in with my Blender Pen.  It just spreads around enough green ink to give the leaves some color, without it being too dark.

You could also take some extra time and shade them in even more, but when stamping 80 of the same card, I didn't have time to do more detailed shading.

I will have a video tutorial for you soon, to show you a great tip on making the double banner with the Banner Triple punch.

For each flower center, I used a White Perfect Accents and used 1 of each size.  These neat white dots come in 3 sizes and have 75 in each pack! See them on pg 161 in the 2015 catalog, or HERE in my online store.

Hawaiian Incentive Trip Samples, part 2 - Beautiful Bunch

When I was looking at the display boards in Hawaii featuring all of the Trip Achievers swap cards, I (and many others) immediately noticed one particularly amazing sample... you can see it here below on the right...

 

How stunning is this 3-d flower on this gorgeous card!?

It was created with the Beautiful Bunch stamp set (click here), Butterfly Basics (click here) and the ovals framelits (click here).

And THEN I turned around and saw the table with the 3-D swaps and saw this gorgeous wall decor piece!

and THEN I turned around and WHO was standing there.. the CREATOR of these AMAZING creations, Shannean Moncreiff.... OH MY GOSH>> I hugged her and told her I just wanted to kiss her!!  :)  She probably thought I was nuts, but wow... her amazing creations just had me in a tizzy!! :)

I love making new friends and was thrilled to have a photo taken with some of my new South Pacific trip achiever friends, Debbie, Helen and Shannean!!

Stampin' UP! Hawaii Card Swap - New Stamp Set

 

"You've Got This" Stampin' Up! Swap Card - Hawaii Incentive Trip

What a fun name for a new stamp set!!!  When you get your new 2015-2016 Stampin' Up! catalog, please turn immediately to pg 113 and look at this fun stamp set!!  I love it!!  It will definitely be in my top 3 in the entire catalog!

I stamped 26 of these note cards to bring to Hawaii to swap with other demonstrators!  Today we are picking up our bags of swap cards on the Stampin' Up! Hawaii Incentive Trip. My swap card features the NEW "You've Got This" floral stamp, greetings and beautiful hatched background stamp!

I used the background "hatch" pattern stamp in this new set on the Stampin' Up! Whisper White note card in Mint Macaron (new In Color for 2015-2017), and then stamped the flower image in StazOn Black ink on Watercolor paper, then did a watercolor wash over the flower with Watercolor Wonder and Mint Macaron!  I added speckles from my Gorgeous Grunge speckle stamp in Watermelon Wonder and then tied it up with new Watermelon Wonder lace trim!!  eeek!!!

Each one turns out differently with the watercolor wash over the flower.. I love them!
